I’ve seen dancers and actors, art made by rough hands and art made by soft, the ground soft and perfectly crafted, the ground new and free, the joy in family photos and they joy in dancing in the kitchen with my cousin, it’s been a year and you are still the most joyous thing in my life.

I’ve listened to ballets and orchestras, simple soft music, loud strong music, popular musicals, small songs that few know about, songs made by whole groups of people and songs made by whole groups of institutions, it’s been a year and your voice is still the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard.

It’s been a year and you’re still here despite all my broken pieces and all the things that try to destroy our hope and happiness. You put my pieces back together and help me find new joy and new hope. I can only dream of doing as much for you as you have for me.
