Publish bad art.
Or don't; make bad art and keep it for yourself.
Make something that sucks. Try for things you don't have the skill level for yet. Draw. Write. Do both. Do half of one and skimp on the other. Half ass everything. I don't care; I could read a story from a twelve year old that absolutely reeks because they're twelve but they love horses so everything they write has a horse in it and it doesn't have a cohesive story structure and everything is spelled wrong and their handwriting sucks, and it'll still be one hundred percent more meaningful a story to me than a story where the beats happen where they're determined statistically to be more likely to appear, because the twelve year old at least told me they fucking love horses and meant it.
One day that child author might even be twenty, and come home from college to find that horrible story and treasure what it said about their younger self, or maybe one day they'll be forty and be published worldwide and this will be the story that taught them that they loved writing, or maybe they could even be dead the day after that story was written and their mom finds that story years later and cries, because it meant something about the author, and what they loved, and who they were. But without making art, there is nothing there to mark the time you spent!
It is not necessary to make good or important or impressive art. It is only imperative that you make art, no matter the medium!
