Full respect to the deltarune transfem headcanons like I 100% see them too but I do take issue with people saying the only reading for the stuff the characters experience is transfem when much of it can be (and I'd argue explicitly is) racial. Its a story about a ethnic minority child being raised by parents who, despite their best efforts can't understand them. Changing their name after adopting a child from a different ethnicity is so common. Susie being treated like a threat and a problem child even tho she hasn't actually done anything looks almost exactly like my childhood. Idk its probably cause this is the 80% white website but its so much the experience of being a poc in a white neighborhood that I'm shocked more people arent talking about it

I saw a video of a 13 year old girl damaging her parents' truck with a pickaxe, supposedly because they took her phone away. The comments were full of "this is what gentle parenting leads to".
Why does everyone think children like that received "gentle parenting"? Children don't learn violence and rage out of nowhere. And I highly doubt it was only in response to her phone being taken away. When children are abused constantly and reminded that everyone sides with their abusers and they have zero proper channels for holding their abusers accountable, they have to pick something to do about it. They're going to get a beating anyway just for using the wrong tone, so they might as well do something to deserve it.
Also, remember when that piece of shit Tommy Jordan shot his daughter's laptop with a gun because he was angry about a Facebook post she made? He was met with praise. Everyone wonders where children learn their violent outbursts from, while adults are praised for theirs.
Maybe if children were treated like people, this wouldn't happen.

Saw a post pointing out that the idea of a Saturday-Sunday weekend is in itself cultural Christianity being applied to the whole “secular” world, that in Israel the weekend is Friday-Saturday and in some Muslim-majority countries the weekend is Thursday-Friday or only Friday (in others it’s Friday-Saturday as well.)
Anyway to make a truly secular and inclusive world I propose a Monday-Wednesday work-week and a Thursday-Sunday weekend. I think anyone of any or no religion could all get behind this.

googling shit like "why do i feel bad after hanging out with my friends" and all of the answers are either "you need better friends" (i don't; my friends are wonderful) or "your social battery is drained, you need to rest and regain your energy levels" (i don't; i've got tons of energy, it's just manifesting as over-the-top neurotic mania). why is this even happening. it's like some stupid toll i have to pay as a punishment for enjoying myself too much
