Interesting how Mori is the first stepping stone for the Agency trying to make an alliance with the Port Mafia.

Before Atsushi jumps off the Moby Dick, Lucy reminds him of Mori and how he helped Atsushi in Anne’s Room. And how maybe something like this may also take them both working together.

A point that’s solidified to Atsushi when he jumps and sees Chuuya and the Black Lizards protecting the city.

It was Atsushi who proposed the alliance and it was Atsushi who Mori gave advice to and aided that day.

He really does like to make the first move.

✨ My BSD hot takes/unpopular opinions ✨:

1. Identifying BSD characters as Queer, is not problematic. STOP being so Heteronormative. Gay characters are not gonna kill you.

If I see another "BuT tHe ChArAcTeRs nEvEr SaId tHeY aRe GaY" I would bomb you 💣/j

2. Skk/SSKK/Fyolai/other popular ships, exist because people like it. If you don't ship them, don't engage with their content. Not all shippers act crazy and toxic. Stop blaming everything on shippers.

3. Atsushi/Kyouka is problematic, stop justifying it with "only 4 year age gap". Kyouka is a CHILD, ship her with Kenji if you want. Atsushi, like a normal 18 year old would never look at a highschool freshman and date her. Even if they date in the future, he knew her when she was younger and they had a sibling like dynamic. Lucy is a way better love interest to Atsushi (Don't know if this is an unpopular opinion tho, but I saw some people justifying it 😐😐😐)

4. DAZAI IS NOT EVIL. HE IS FAR FROM EVIL. He is, despite being super popular and the face of BSD, the most mischaracterized and villified character. Morally grey characters exist??!!!

5. Mori is a way worse person than Dazai ever was.

6. PM members get a free pass for any heinous crime they commit by being hot or babygirl-ified (still love them tho, we do not often discuss how bad their actions have been, you can like criminals and acknowledge they are criminals in fiction. I would add DoA to this too, but it's worse with the PM)

7. Akutagawa's abuse of Kyouka shouldn't be forgotten just because Dazai abused Akutagawa.

8. Mori emotionally manipulated and abused Dazai when he was a teen. Just because it wasn't physical, doesn't mean it was nothing.

9. Atsushi is NOT a soft boy, he is way bitter, salty and sarcastic than we give him credit

10. Poe is important to Ranpo and their friendship/relationship is wholesome as hell

11. Ranpo and Yosano's friendship is way better than them being in a relationship in the future

12. FukuFuku is better than Fukumori (imo!!!!)

13. Buying real authors work after watching BSD is actually a really good thing, since more Gen z kids (or other people) will read classics

14. There are layers to Atsushi and Akutagawa relationship/rivalry, and they have the MOST important relationship (not meaning romantic, just in general) in the entire canon.

15. Kunikida and Yosano could be a power couple

16. Fyodor is not a great villain (yet)

17. Nikolai CARRIES the DoA

18. Sigma shouldn't be in the ADA, he needs a happy home, family and some time to adjust to normal life

19. Q and Elise are both underused characters and could become a great dynamic

20. Ango deserves more love, the amount of pressure and stress he deals with is INSANE

21. It's OKAY if everyone joins the fandom for Dazai or skk (I did at first too!!)

22. Higuchi is annoying as hell. I do not get her hype, I like her but not as much as most people (just personal opinion, do not flame me 😭)

23. Everyone in The Guild is forgettable or boring (except Fitzgerald, Poe and Lucy. I like Louisa, but I forget her all the time)

24. Hetero ships are just not that great/interesting in BSD to me 🤷🏻‍♀️ (except maybe AtsuLucy or rare pairs) and female characters are not best utilised, I wish they play more major roles (can't wait for Agatha to arrive!!)

25. Some fan theories/arts get the story better than "canon" stuff at times. Fanon is NOT always the worst (sometimes enjoyable when the canon gets too dark or sad)

26. Toxic ships are okay in fiction as long as they are legal. Humans like toxic things, we consume it like junk food 💅🏻

(These are all personal opinions of mine and do not matter. Feel free to disagree. But, do not hate or be toxic!!!! 😇😇😇😇)

Concept: Any chance of peace and understanding would’ve been lost immediately if Fukuchi had kept his word and didn’t let Atsushi escape the boat.

Ranpo is picked up by Ango and the two ride in silence. He’s shaking with rage and guilt. He let Atsushi down. He wouldn’t have even know Kamui’s true identity if Atsushi hadn’t bribed him to use his ability.

Ango, quietly asks if he should tell Dazai and Ranpo nods. The logical part of him says it would be better to hear from them then Fyodor.

But in his heart he knows there’s no kind way to deliver such a blow. He puts his glasses away not even wanting to think about how he’ll take the news.

Delivering it to everyone else hurts enough. His friends…Atsushi thought he was invincible and Ranpo let him down.

Kyouka stares at him in silent horror. Kunikida holds her in his arms as she sobs. His own shoulders shake but he won’t cry, he can’t….He does. Yosano looks down trying to hide her own tears.

Junichiro and Lucy are cursing Fukuchi out as tears roll down their cheeks. Kenji’s smile falls and the rage rolls off him in waves. Katai hugs his futon closer in comfort.

Fukuzawa, betrayal and pain on his face and his usual stoicism falling. He felt the pain as Beast Beneath the Moonlight faded from his reach. But having it confirmed makes his heart stop.

How could Genichiro do this to them?

Among their greif, every single member of the Agency exchanges a a look. A promise made in this ability made space that looks like their office.

With two chairs empty.

The Decay of Angels, Ge-…Ouchi Fukuchi was going to pay for this dearly. For taking their comrade, their friend, their son, their brother away from them.

The Port Mafia didn’t even hesitate to follow them into battle. Even Mori in all his years was taken aback by the state of his old friend. There were no strings attached this time because Mori was a smart man.

He knew one misstep and that blade would cut him down.

Fukuchi though was no ally, no friend to them now. This was the line that can never be crossed. They didn’t even have a body to bury.

Did Atsushi call out to them? Did he die thinking he was all alone? Did he know that his death would break them all?

Not even Ranpo knows the answer to that.

They couldn’t save him.

But they would make sure his sacrifice wouldn’t be in vain.

The next time Fukuchi smiled at Fukuzawa and told him he didn’t know suffering Fukuzawa didn’t even hesitate to lunge at him.

BSD Locations- Yokohama Visit 2024 - Part 1

I made a trip to Yokohama for the first time!! This was probably one of the most awaited trips of my life!! I planned a one day trip by myself and wanted to share my experience here, and journal all my thoughts so I'm really excited to make this post (or rather series of posts) :'D

I sat down and speed-ran the anime episodes to catch glimpses of the areas and make a compilation list of all the places featured in the series! I tried to create a route that would make it easy for me to go around on foot to all the places, so I'm going to share all the places in the order I visited them! There is probably a better route to follow than this one but this was the best I could come up with, in the short time I had and my poor organizing skills lol.

It was only afterwards I stumbled upon other posts and blogs with all the locations listed in greater detail lmaoo.

So without further ado, here is my BSD pilgrimage in Yokohama~! XD

1. Yokohama Station East Exit (S1EP8)

This is the place where Atsushi goes shopping with Yosano and meets Kyouka for the first time! I really loved how similar the signboards were too!

2. Yokohama Station West Exit, Fifth Avenue, Sotetsu Side (S1EP8)

Right outside Yokohama Station, it seems Kyouka waited here for Dazai to appear for many days. It was a quiet street with many eateries. It must be crowded during peak hours though. It's easy to get here if you're following the signboards correctly (I did not tho and ended up missing it the first time I passed it lol).

3. Okano Crossing (S1EP12)

This place is where Atsushi and Tanizaki fight Lucy and even run into Mori for the first time. It's just about 10 minutes walk from Yokohama Station. I walked back and forth so many times to get a good picture because there was so much sunlight lmao.

4. Motomachi Street (S1EP2, OVA, S3EP30)

This area is featured a lot in the series. It's a really lovely shopping street and seemed like a nice place to just walk around during your free time. There were a lot of sitting areas to rest and the place was also decorated with Christmas decorations in this time of the year! I think I was the most excited to be here hahaha.

I only realized later that there were two entrances with the bird statue so the last images don't match lol. The correct one is in the first image.

I took a train from Yokhama Station to Ishikawacho Station to get here but Motomachi-Chukagai station (which also appears in the anime) is actually closer to the part of the shopping street featuring in the in the episode, so it was probably better to start from there lol.
