Does Zoro maybe not remember confessing? Had he been that drunk?

And obviously Zoro DOES remember, and he's NOT calm at all. He's freaking out internally every time he and Sanji are in the same room, but he'd rather lose his remaining eye than have anyone notice. So he does his best to play it cool. And yeah, maybe he takes a nap or two more than usual, and maybe he spends even more time working out in the crow's nest than is strictly necessary, but that is nobody’s business but his own, isn’t it?

Bla bla bla cue Sanji questioning the universe and his existence, freaking out over his sexuality, sloooowly coming to terms with it and then freaking out again about telling Zoro and what it means for the crew dynamic etc etc.

Also Robin being somewhere in the background of the story, smiling to herself, sipping on her tea, because of course she knows something is up, and she has a pretty good idea of what it is about, even if she doesn’t know the whole story, because she knows pretty much everything that’s going on on the sunny, cause she’s the responsible older sister™️.

I have never attempted to write anything before, not even a rough draft like this, but Zosan has been living in my head rent free for the past few months now, and once the idea for a possible plot popped up in my mind I absolutely needed to note it down. The group goes to the show, and the first couple acts are fine; but then it's finally time for Chouquette, and it's clear most of the crowd is here for her. She clearly has some pretty big fans up front, hooting and hollering as she sings and tells jokes.

When Chouquette is finished with her performance, Law sees Kaya at the bar with some other people, and she's talking to a really cute-looking boy who has his eyes all over Law. Law doesn't look away fast enough, and Kaya catches his eye and waves him over, first introducing him to the cute boy, Luffy, one of her friends through her fiancé, Usopp, who's also sitting nearby. Luffy quickly introduces Law to everyone else, including Zoro, who wraps his arm around Chouquette when she joins them at the bar; and Chouquette as "Sanji, who's a girl when she's Chouquette, but a boy a lot of the rest of the time" (genderfluid Sanji expressing this via drag...and in the bedroom sometimes 🤭💕).

Law gets unwittingly inducted into this friend group, and with Luffy very interested in him romantically.

I don't have much worked out for this AU, but Luffy is a preschool teacher. And zosan, namivivi, and usokaya are all engaged and lowkey in a competition to see who gets married first. And Brook is still a skeleman and Jinbei a fishman, and Chopper a reindeer. <3 Just a chaotic but fun found family modern fic with some more canon elements dashed in.

Guys I had the best zosan fic idea EVER an I needed to share before I forget. Though maybe it won't leave lol.

Anyways, yall know La siene? Well heres my idea.

(cause Zoro doesn't know French) so events on wano happen and luffy wants another celebration on the ship, (cause why not?) and Sanji comes up with a plan, (and tells Robin too of course) Robin will leave a French book out so Zoro spots it and asks about it, then Robin will tell him about it and translate for him, then later on while the crew is celebrating and singing hed wait for his turn, and sing La siene to Zoro while making sure the others don't notice, and hold onto hope that Zoro accepts his confession. So, thats the plan. Now to put it in place. Robin leaves the book out and as expected Zoro notices and asks, to which Robin translates, (and teaches him how to confess in French too for good measure.) The day goes by and night falls which means the party is happening, time goes by a bit more, Zoro on the railing and watching nearby (at least far enough where the crew doesn't notice him, and checks the lavender rose in his harumaki, then returns to watching the crew) and Sanjis turn comes up, (Zoro expects that he will sing loud and clumsily to the lady's, like an idiot, what he doesn't know is he's about to be very wrong) Sanji steps to the metaphorical stage, starting to sing,

Shock is one hell of an understatement to Zoro, but now he sees why Robin was teaching him French earlier (as well as how to confess in French) it was Sanjis plan, of a Love confession to him. That idiot. (Zoros eyes are now completely on Sanji as he sings the rest of the song) and as much as Zoro hates to admit it, that was one hell of a love confession. Sanjis song finishes and the next go up is ussop, so Sanji leaves em be, choosing to walk over to Zoro, being a bit embarrassed, (despite how well it went) "so, what do you say?" (Zoro pulls out the lavender rose) "id say, je t'iame aussi." (I love you too) now its Sanjis turn to be shocked, Robin must have taught him behind his back, still, its such a confession that is still so sweet to him, he didn't have to follow through what Robin said and yet he did, even more so the meaning of the rose, (lavender rose means Enchantment, or "love at first sight") he took the rose and smelled it (he always loved the smell of roses) and, without missing a beat, pulled Zoro in close, and kissed him short, soft, and sweet (Robin watched out of the corner of her eye smiling before turning back to the show) Sanji looks at the strawhats then back at Zoro, "lets go a bit further away hm?" "mh" they go farther away till its a bit quieter, music barely heard in the background. And they stay in eachothers company, enjoying the quiet peaceful night under the moons glow.

imo Hazel_Athena writes the best aus in the business. i've read pretty much all their stuff but just to pick two of my faves, i love love love Facade and Arm in Arm (which was actually the first zs fic i ever read)

@demonzoro is also consistently so so good. and then the sun came out made me pace around my room like an animal. gnawing on the drywall like a bug

im such a zoro/nami liker i think ive mentioned it was my first ship before in op but it was (also the realization that i shipped every character at the time in arlong park was very real) (and then i said id never ship sanami but im a liar. and a fraud) but like ignoring the sexual part of their dymanic inherently invalidates the important character writing being done. nami and zoro and sanji are supposed to be a trio, thematically. im not saying you have to ship them just acknowledge whats there in the text (zoro being a brat who wants attention and gets jealous towards sanji holding namis attention) and youll have better zoro characterization. its like if you completely ignored how sanami affects sanjis characterization.

zosan people i am looking at you. looking at you very intently. if you acknowledged more how zoros relationship with sanji is affected by his relationship with nami and how zoro and nami are similar i think you'd have better zoro characterization than is standard AND bonus- you'd stop reducing namis characterization down to "sanjis heterosexual love interest". which do not get me started on how that affects sanjis characterization as well.

fic idea i might write after my exams (inspired by the song good luck babe by chappell roan):

basically zosan are in sorta relationship (more of a situationship) but sanji is still really in denial about being into men and he's still looking for women to be with just to end up in bed with zoro.

the scene that i thought up first is where sanji breaks it off with zoro, basically saying they will forget that anything ever happened between them. but he also feels bad so he says he didn't want to hurt zoro. he's surprised when he realizes that zoro is actually okay and zoro tells him that he knew what he was getting himself into and that he thought that this might happen so he's fine.

the only one who's not fine is sanji because he's in love with him but he still can't get over his internalized feelings.

it ends with sanji realizing what a mistake he made when he sees zoro with someone else and they get back together properly this time.

so what are we thinking??

New zosan fan here! I've seen once an AU of Zoro getting hit with personality/body split and it's such a brain worm.

Three Zoros (obviously) crushing on Sanji in such different ways that kinda messed with his head.

First we have the personification of his pre-time skip confidence and goofiness. Boisterous and teasing in such a manner I miss. "Love cook, swirlybrow, pretty boy." Sanji is blushing and slightly annoyed but secretly enjoying the attention.

Second would be the aggressive fighter. Blood thirsty, itching for a fight, he is the brute that sanji gets prissy about. The way he flirt is to taunt for a fight and every time sanji falls for it Zoro teases him with such the raunchy, dirty confessions. "Perv cook, nose bleed, shit cook." Sanji has almost fainted from the amount of blood rush to his head.

Finally the third Zoro is the discipline and stoic swordman he trained to be. He's the embodiment of self control for the other two. He would be the closest to the original but feels like a blank soldier. He still stay near Sanji's company to keep an eye on the other two but if it's just the two of them, he says the most heart felt, gut punching dialogue I can't write. "Sanji" Practically sounds like a marriage proposal since when Zoro devotes to a person, it's all or nothing.

Sanji is just having a time with all of this. 😵‍💫

hello! i have been considering doing more formalised headcanon posts for my boys. i got asked about kinks and i really wanted to do more nsfw headcanons. i promise i will at some point write more sfw stuff as i have had a few requests to do so! but zoro has been the most interesting for me to write in my drabbles so i wanted to kind of info dump headcanons i have for him. i use these to write my own stuff but i should make it clear i'm not 100% caught up (in dressrosa) and i don't write for him therefore these are personal headcanons. anyway, cool, let's go. also these ALL have ZoSan in mind as i'm a zosan writer.

Sorry SanZo fans...I see him as being a top. I don't think he would be opposed to bottoming but I do see him as being dom orientated.

I don't think he's that experienced previous to the straw hats. He had travelled around a little so maybe once or twice but is not overly experienced

Interactive ZoSan fanfic. Ch.01

Hello dear Straw Hearts!

So here we begin our journey with the first chapter of the interactive ZoSan fanfic. Please remember that I am not a writer and English is not my native language. But I will try and I hope we all have fun. I have some ideas but your choices are what decide where the story goes. In the vote, you chose that our story will take place in the canonical One Piece setting. But since I have not yet seen many events and am not familiar with all the characters (I only just met Brook in the anime at the time of writing this but I happily spoiled some things for myself so I know roughly Sanji's story), my vision may conflict with canon. There may also be spoilers here, so be careful. This first chapter is just setting up the scene.

Ch.01 "Distraction and consequences"

Sanji really thinks that Zoro will be the end of him one day. One way or the other. He's such a distraction. And he doesn't even know about it. And Sanji would never tell him. His sword work is blinding. Every time it catches the light and the glare hurts his eyes and Sanji hates it. He hates how it makes him freeze and silently demands “look at me.” 

Look at me. 

Look.

And Sanji looks.

Because he can't not.

And he stares.

Because no one really knows but Sanji loves.

He loves endlessly all the big and small things in this world that he finds beautiful. And now he loves how the 4am sun embraces the swordsman and grazes the steel of his swords. It stole the breath away from him in the same way it did on that momentous day when Zoro took a blow from Mihawk with his arms open and his gaze determined. Something shifted in him that day. Something sparkled and he treasures it still, keeps safe deep in his heart. Sanji will never admit it but Zoro became someone special to him that day. Someone he looked up to and strived to become in some way. Zoro was strong, passionate, and a man of his word. He was ready to follow his dream no matter what. Sanji was the same in some parts. Objectively speaking he was strong and passionate himself, but he always lacked self confidence. He always sought so much less of himself. Although It was always compensated for by him trying his best. And actually doing his best no matter what circumstances he was in (no, we are not talking about his weakness for women in this house). But nevertheless, Sanji was almost always blind to his own achievements. He never praised himself, even a little, and took the praise of others as if it was the biggest treasure. He never thought of himself as deserving anything good but still he dreamed of kindness and love and friendship.. 

And he always wanted to be friends with Zoro. And after all these years, he kind of thought they were. Even though from an outsider's view their friendship looked more like hatred, in reality it was just rivalry and they both loved it, at least Sanji thought Zoro liked it too. 

Sanji enjoyed their bickering and fights, he truly did. But there were times when he could get tired of it. In those moments he really wished they could have a “calm” friendship. Sanji tried from time to time to guide their relationship in that direction, but Zoro never got the message. It always ended up with sharp jokes, insults, or fights and every time Sanji–with an inner sigh–followed Zoro's lead. 

But also Zoro sometimes surprised Sanji by looking weirdly happy, or even proud when seeing the cook coming to the fight scene. It really throws Sanji off every time because he doesn't know what to think of it. It is too weird. And other times Sanji thinks that Zoro may even care for him. Like that time on the sea train when Zoro screamed at him to not go along further and wait for them because it was too dangerous. Of course it was turned into a joke in the end, but nevertheless. And if Sanji would be honest it drives him crazy every time. Every time he thinks they may have their “ordinary friendship” moment, Zoro snatched it away as fast as his swordwork. And once again Sanji sighs and goes along. Although to be fair, Sanji himself often starts the fight or bites first so he has nothing to complain about, really. Right?

Right.

So, he's completely okay with not having a normal friendship with the stupid mosshead.

It's only fair, he thinks. And dives down at the last moment, barely avoiding a killing blow from the enemy. It's a really bad idea to be distracted right now, in the middle of the battle on the deck of their ship. Sanji was actually starting to feel tired, and not only him, judging by the way others were fighting. The attack happened suddenly, late at night. A huge ship appeared as if out of nowhere, fortunately Zoro, who was on watch, quickly raised everyone. Their opponents were fast and tiring. And there were many of them. Although the entire attack was strange, as if they had a specific goal unknown to the Straw Hat Pirates. And their captain hasn't even shown up yet. They were also terribly silent, making the atmosphere of the battle sickeningly depressing and oppressive. Sanji and everyone else were used to the fact that their opponents were usually loud, demanding attention to their person, no matter how deadly, the atmosphere was almost always like a chicken coop fight. Noisy, bright and reckless. That's probably why Luffy loved these moments so much. He had a lot of fun, of course, when the situation wasn't life-threatening for his nakama. But now even their captain looked out of place. 

Suddenly, Sanji felt a long-forgotten but familiar chill running down his back. That kind of dark anxiety that cannot be explained because there is no reason for it.. But nevertheless, something inside begins to scream heart-rendingly, “run!”

And perhaps Sanji would have run, if in the next moment he had not felt a firm push of someone's palm to his back. Everything around seemed to freeze for a moment, for one painful heartbeat. The place where palm touched felt numb, but after a moment there was a tingling spreading throughout his body along with an increasing ringing in his ears. His head started to hurt. For a second he thought something had snapped inside him and a terrible heat exploded. He couldn't even scream.

He took a breath.

And blinked. 

And time seemed to rush forward again, drowning him in a cacophony of sounds

He felt confused. What just happened? Where was he? What was he doing?… Why is it so light already?

He almost jumped out of his skin when he heard a familiar voice next to him.

"Hey Sanji! I'm terribly hungry, can you cook something? No, not something, meat! A lot of meat!" Luffy slapped him on the shoulder as he passed by, making him step forward from the force of the impact. He shouldn't have though. Of course, their captain was many times stronger than any of them, but such a movement should not have moved Sanji so easily. He almost lost his balance. He felt shaken.

He blinked again, gritting his teeth and realizing that there was no cigarette in his mouth. He couldn't light a new one though. Not now, when his hands are shaking so much, hastily hidden in his pockets.

He looked around. Everyone went in different directions. The battle was over, they were moving away from the smoking ship of the unknown pirates behind them. Judging by the sun, it was now about eight in the morning. He lost time.

He lost time.

Sanji swallowed nervously. He should think about something else. He can't spiral  now. He can't fall apart. Not here where everyone can see him. He must be just tired... There is no reason to worry and especially no reason to give others reasons to worry. It sounded stupid even in his own head, but he has no choice but to persuade himself like this at such moments. He has a lot of practice. He just needs to hold on a little longer. 

And he will. 

He always does.

He exhaled, glad that Luffy did not wait for his answer and apparently did not notice his confusion. He will think about everything later, but now he needs to get to breakfast. Everyone is probably terribly exhausted and needs to replenish their strength. Sanji would make them the best breakfast he could. Something from rice. And not at all because the stupid Marimo loves rice dishes. Again. Sanji will never admit it, but he loves to surprise that stupid swordsman. He feels it as a small victory and grins proudly every time he sees that he likes his food.

He thought to himself as he walked to the kitchen and desperately tried to ignore the trembling which threatened to take over all of him. Nervousness was creeping through his entire body and as soon as the door to his personal temple slammed shut, hiding Sanji from prying eyes, he leaned against it wearily, hastily taking out a new cigarette and lighting it. It took him several attempts before a small flame touched the tobacco tip. He took a drag and exhaled, closing his eyes and resting the back of his head on the wooden surface.

He lost time. A few hours. What happened at that time? Has he passed out? Is he even awake now? No, no. He can't go there. He will drive himself crazy. He can't afford it. He must trust his crew. If he's passed out and it's a dream, they'll wake him up. If not, then to hell with it. Whatever happened during the lost time is not so important if no one asked him about it. 

As if in mockery, the hand mark on his back reminded him of itself with an already familiar numbness, as if someone else's palm was still touching him. It was disgusting.

"Fuck." His hand hit the wall before he even thought about what he was doing. He desperately tried to convince himself that everything was okay, but the truth is that he is scared to the guts. Sanji takes a breath and relaxes the fingers that he hadn’t noticed he had clenched into a fist.

Okay…

Okay.

Breakfast.

Taking another drag from his cigarette and exhaling through his nose, Sanji determinedly headed to the countertop, gathering the necessary ingredients as he went. After washing his hands, he took out a cutting board and a knife, forcing his hands to stop shaking, feeling the pressure in the back of his head starting to build up again. It made his ears ring disgustingly. He ignored it, clenching the cigarette between his teeth and starting to chop the vegetables. He will do what he should do. For what he became a member of this crew. Sanji would not allow himself to be a burden or a problem for this team. For his team, he corrected himself. Because he's part of it. He should not forget or deny it, even if at times he considers himself unworthy. 

His knife made the first “knock”, cutting through the vegetables and connecting with the board. 

It sounded oddly muffled.

He blinked.

Sanji watched dumbfoundedly as something was burning in a frying pan. He choked on his breath, dropping the extinguished cigarette from his mouth and hurried to turn off the heat, putting the frying pan aside. Feeling the world shift from the sudden movement, he hurried to grab the countertop to steady himself. A cold shiver ran through his body, his heart was pounding wildly, and his bones and muscles ached as if he had just taken a severe beating. Sanji sucked in a raspy breath, watching with incomprehension as dark blood dripped onto the surface of his precious kitchen, staining it. He touched his face, feeling the warm stickiness running down his lips and chin. 

This was wrong. 

He never bled out of the blue.

Sanji heard laughter coming from somewhere outside and winced. He hurried to the sink, washing the blood from his face and then wiped the countertop with a napkin, tossing it in the trash and throwing the scraps on top. 

He almost sank to the floor after that, but kept himself on his feet, making an incomprehensible quiet whining sound through his teeth, full of anger and something deeply painful. 

He felt weak. 

Again. 

He didn't understand what was happening or why. 

He will be a burden to them. 

He did not want that. 

Fucking hell. 

He didn't want it.

His eyes stung, but he took a breath. He must stop.

Breakfast.

He looked around the kitchen. Everything was ready, all that remained was to set the table.

Whatever happened to him during the lost time, his body apparently continued to work. That was good.

A small mercy.

He took another breath and lit another cigarette. His body ached, but felt calmer. It felt as if it was healing. Maybe it was. 

Okay.

He will set the table, get through breakfast and then decide what to do.

He's not weak. Not anymore. He can handle it.

Sanji felt something was torn somewhere in his body, he felt cold. He spat the blood into the sink and washed it off with water. 

He'll get through this, damn it.

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Always! If I don’t respond the moment I get the email notification, I usually get to it the next time I’m on AO3 to upload a new fic... I do make it a point to reply after I’ve hit post though, because it’s like a reward to get to respond. Sometimes with the really sweet and/or lengthy comments that make me smile or feel really proud of what I’ve written, I’ll literally hold off on replying so I can experience the high again, right after I’ve posted a new fic. 

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

Probably overboard -- I wrote it based on my first impression of the ending of the LOTR trilogy, where I took Frodo’s leaving for Valinor as a metaphor for suicide. 

What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

I don’t know that I can pick a single fic for this. I generally write happy endings, because that’s what I like to read, so there’s just too many to choose from. 

Do you write crossovers?

Hell yeah, I do! Crackfic crossovers are my favorite kind of self-indulgent fic to write. I’ve also written crossovers in the sense that I take blorbos from one series and put them in the setting or roles from another series, but then I wonder if that isn’t just an AU... 

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I don’t think so...?

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I definitely write more smut than I post, that’s for sure. I think it’s generally all omegaverse, praise kink, breeding/pregnancy kink, light d/s... that sort of thing :) 

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope! At least, not that I’m aware of, haha

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, New Colors was given a Chinese translation! 

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I’ve co-written with my friend that I’ve affectionately dubbed beta-san ever since we got into writing fic back in high school. Few fics have been finished and cleaned up enough to be posted though. 

What's your all-time favorite ship?

I think I’ll forever consider ZoSan (Zoro/Sanji) to be my OTP... I haven’t read or written anything about them in a long time, but they’ll always hold a special place in my heart for being my gateway to online fandom and shipping communities. 

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

Bit of a deep cut for this one, but I’d have to say Zoro’s Promise. I started it so long ago that it’s still only on FF dot net. I do think about it often though, I won’t lie. 

What are your writing strengths?

I’m easily inspired, I use the intensity of my emotions as fuel, I find myself often wanting to write, I make time to write whenever I can -- on the commute to and from work, in bed, on a walk, etc. 

What are your writing weaknesses?

My brain only wants to write certain scenes of a fic, and has no interest in filling the gaps. I have a tendency to tell instead of show. I use too many commas. I don’t write consistently enough to make it a habit. I focus on the numbers social media has trained me to perceive as validation, instead of just being able to feel satisfaction from writing what I want to. And perhaps worst of all, I still care so much of what other people think of me, of my writing -- so much so that I overthink and overanalyze my words as I’m writing, forcing my brain to edit while I write, which is entirely counterproductive and also not what I’m here to do. 

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

As someone who speaks a language that too many people have Google Translated and then slapped into their fic for the vibes... hard pass. 

I don’t think I’ve ever written full lines of dialogue in another language. The worst I’ve done would probably be using nicknames, pet names, or endearments from canon, but honestly looking back, even that feels like I was pushing it. Unless it’s a fantasy language like Sindarin or Khuzdul or whatever else, I really feel like there’s no reason to be doing it. 

As a reader, it’s distracting at best when I can’t read it, because it takes me out of the moment and forces me to scroll down to the author’s notes to understand what it says -- or even just Google Translate it myself -- and at worst, I can read it, and it gives me a painful amount of secondhand embarrassment from how awkward and wrong it is. 

Just put the sentence in italics, imply that it was spoken in another language, and be done with it. 

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

My writing is at the mercy of my hyperfixations, so I don’t think I’ve not written for a fandom or ship that I wanted to yet... 

What's your favorite fic you've written?

I honestly don’t think I have a favorite. I’ve written so many fics at this point, and across so many fandoms, that I simply cannot choose one over the rest.

Gender headcanon: Cis or trans man, either works for me. I've read some really good fics/seen good art of trans Zoro and it makes a lot of sense to me and I enjoy it when I see it, but I'm not really fussed either way.

A ship I have with said character: Zosan forever and always is the OTP for me, and I'm a lot less of a multishipper with Zoro compared to Sanji for some reason lol. I've warmed up a bit on Zolu too but I do still prefer that as more of a platonic soulmate thing, and I know I said I see Zoro as gay but the t4t potential of Zoro/Kiku is quite good too so I'm willing to say he isn't 100% gay because of it.

a BROTP: Him and Chopper are so cute oh my god, the way Zoro acts like a proud/protective older brother to him is really really cute, that's his guy!!! I also LOVE the Zoro and Nami friendship, I think they antagonize each other for fun lmao but I also think they would be really close to each other and have their own special relationship where they can tell each other anything.

A NOTP: Zoro with any woman other than Kiku really, but I know Zoro/Robin is somewhat popular and I don't think I really get it all. I think their relationship/friendship is really interesting especially pre-timeskip where they had to learn to trust each other when Robin first joined the crew, but I think they're just friends who watch each other's backs.

A random headcanon: I'm surprised I don't see this hc more, and maybe it's just me projecting, but this man 100% has ADHD lmao. The way that he gets lost all the time, his hyperfixation on swords and also his dream, his head empty moments throughout the series, how he's somewhat impulsive, and I feel like the meditation/workout routine is how he tries to manage his concentration (also his anxiety).

general thoughts: I absolutely adore Zoro, and he was the one that surprised me the most. I knew about him before starting and thought he would be the "badass and stoic" character that ended up being flat compared to everyone else, and that's just not true. He's SO silly but also has a really good heart and character, that even though he is a loser he is also very cool at the same time. he's more of a simple character but there's still a lot to talk about with him and he's just had consistently strong writing throughout the entire series. I don't talk about him as much as Sanji or maybe even Robin but those three are tied for my fave strawhat.

Sexuality headcanon: Pansexual or bisexual, I think they've lived a thousand years and things such as gender aren't a factor in who they are attracted to. They truly just go for whoever they catches their interest at any given moment in time.

Gender headcanon: Uhhh all of the above lol. Man, woman, nonbinary, no gender, all the genders, whatever they're feeling and however they are perceived is their gender. I think it's similar to the sexuality, you live a thousand years and gender is a construct they abandoned a long long time ago. No matter what I think they're trans though, and all pronouns.

A ship I have with said character: I think every major ship with Kenjaku works for me, and I struggle to pick a favorite. Gojoken, Tenken, Takaken, Kenjin, Mahito/Kenjaku, even Sukuken I find kinda fun lol. If I had to pick one of these, probably Takaken, but I am big Gojoken and Tenken fan so they're close behind.

A BROTP: So the thing about Kenjaku is that they're a cringefail loser and they don't know how to make friends lmao. Maybe Mahito and Kenjaku? I know I put them in the ship category but I think they fit more here, the silliness and horrors they get up to together were a lot of fun to watch.

A NOTP: Hmm I'm struggling to come up with an answer lol. Uhhh I guess the one Heian era character I don't ship with them is Uraume, but I've never actually seen this ship anywhere. Oh I guess if there's any Kenjaku/Yuuji or Kenjaku/Choso I would not be a fan of that either.

Random headcanon: I feel like in the in between time of executing their thousand year evil plan, they sometimes go out every once in awhile like every 20-30 years to engage with human society again and acts like an old man who's never heard of technology lmao. I also think they would say super off putting things that make no sense to anyone like "Man this dish was so much better 80 years ago :(" and the waiter is just staring at this person who looks like they're early thirties at most.

General thoughts: I think they're the most interesting villain in JJK by far, their relationships spanning over a thousand years are messy and mysterious and span far and wide and the small pieces we get are something to theorize on endlessly. I think they are so effective in that they always are doing or saying something interesting/horrific/fun when on screen, but when they are gone that causes more anxiety for the reader. They're a very cruel and inhumane character, but there is almost a melancholic aspect to them too where they have this big plan, but it doesn't even seem to excite them that much. I'm hoping to do a Culling Games reread maybe in the summer mostly just for them tbh.

Yona

Sexuality headcanon: Bisexual but she doesn't know that askhfkl. Obviously she's attracted to men, that's known from the beginning of the series, but whatever she had with Lili....well...I think they had the potential to be more than gal pals given time....

Gender headcanon: Hmm I guess just cis woman. Haven't thought about any other gender for her, and I think that's honestly what she feels comfortable identifying as. If you got any trans/nb hcs for her though I'm open to it.

a ship I have with said character: Have you heard of Hak/Yona....i think they're neat...cool even....yeah most obvious answer lmao but this is really the only romantic ship I like with her (even if Lili/Yona has potential too and I can convince people on the yuri if no other brave soldiers are willing to).

BROTP: All of the dragons, easily. Hak/Yona might be the ship but those five are connected through fate, through lifetimes. it feels like a disservice to pick one over the other even, they all have such a love for Yona and Yona for them, that's found family right there.

A NOTP: I know some people ship Yona with Soo Won and they have maybe my favorite relationship in the whole series, but I just cannot see it as romantic, especially since both have grown so much. Yona's crush at the beginning of the series to me is more "there's this guy I care about a lot, it must be love" and I do think it was/is love, but that's more of a teenager crush that doesn't actually mean anything. Yona loves him, but in a different way from Hak I think.

Random headcanon: This goes more into theory rather than hc, and it may be dreadfully outdated considering how far behind I am, but I don't think Yona will be the ruler by the end of the series (and definitely not Hak for that matter as well). That said I wouldn't be surprised if that does end up being the case, and it would still make sense especially since Soo Won is sick (as far I know), but I feel like her role as this liberator and almost Robin Hood like figure where she travels around to aid people just makes perfect sense for her and the group as a whole. Undeniably Soo Won has been a really good ruler even if he got spot through, you know, murder lmao. Idk I think I need to reread and catch up to really stand by this, but these were my thoughts through a lot of the series.

General thoughts: Yona of the Dawn is my favorite shoujo and for good reason I think, and a very large part of that is how strong of a protagonist I think that Yona is. You see this really compelling arc over the course of the story of her coming of age that I think is really inspiring, where she very much comes into herself fully but also the relationships she develops with everyone are key to her success as well. One of my favorite characters ever go read Yona of the Dawn everyone (<- directed to me who needs to reread the series more than anyone else in the world)

Hard to say since again since I like happy endings, most of them end pretty happy. Probably The Christmas Swap, since i was going for “hallmark movie but incredibly gay” and got to make the brothers more accepting thanks to that premise.

ive never written any ship .. fanfic. so i dont think i could confidently write hanyagellan. i should though.. i should learn to write multiple characters. actually up until like. last month. i had never read fanfic that wasnt x reader. wait no thats wrong i HAD but it was characters i didnt know and purely bc i was bored. anyways if i am obsessed with fictional characters its usually bc i want to date them. and the ones i dont like like that r just blorbos, and i dont ship them with anyone. my first times actually shipping characters were basically.. me finding out phoenix wright and maya fey dont get together (i thought they were canon for some reason).. and it means its ok to ship wrightworth. and then enjoying satosugu content, a lot. both happened in the past 6 months or so

i have had a few moments where i really liked (mackenyu) zoro. when he smiled, once, i was like WOW ??? HELLO??? I LOVE U ... and then it was Gone.. i just need the silly guy to be silly. either way his action scenes are fantastic like. huge kudos to mackenyu for that. "zoro’s characterization seems to be one of the major criticisms ive seen across the board so maybe they’ll lighten him up for season 2." I HOPE SO!!! its not like hes doing an awful job or anything, im just sad abt the way the character has gone. make him smile a little more and joke around a little more and i will be happy as a clam or whatever that saying is. also excited for whatever the zoro saying fuck scene is.. i dont really notice cussing most of the time in media so i hope it doesnt slip past me

i have never understood powerscaling. i have a very slight understanding of what it is but. like. i dont know how thats fun.. for people... i have always enjoyed stories more when theyre focused on characters and settings rather than action. i love a good fight but it is nowhere near my priority. part of the reason i love dressrosa so much is cuz they have that stupid (/lh) moment where everyone starts working together to push back the birdcage. makes me cry every time.

anyways yeah i do think zoro is meant to be stronger. i think its kinda lame cuz the sanji and zoro rivalry, where theyre constantly on equal levels but hate to admit it, is fun. but at the same time i dont think i would mind if zoro was declared second in command and therefore became the stronger one. perhaps thats just my zoro bias showing though. making zoro 1 cm taller is VERY funny .. u know he would use that against sanji.. with the way he constantly lorded over people (sanji especially) that he was the first person to get to sabaody

koby’s actor IS trans!! i really like the casting they’ve gone with. For doing their races right, first of all, and also for things like giving koby’s role to a trans actor even though they didnt “have to”. and also i will now HC koby as trans thank u matt owens. i doubt they’ll get to water 7 (i think they might like. finish alabasta. and thats it. personally) but i mean WHO KNOWS.

i rlly dont care about powerscaling and i have never looked into it and never will. i actually really do like cool fights but in anime they always get dragged out SOO long and then im just pissed cause i care more about the plot and characters. i prefer the idea of them being perfectly matched for multiple reasons but i guess we’ll never know…probably. idk im still waiting on that death pact thing to come back

2 OUT OF 3 OF MY ROOMATES IN COLEGE WERE ON TECH CREW HAHAHA  they told me about it and made me appreciate it!! i love theatre a lot. i want to go see more. thats the only one ive ever seen and its bc it was for a school trip. my favorite musical ever is cabaret and i watched it all on youtube in several parts jdfnvkfjn (the 1990’s run with alan cumming) i could have been a theatre kid if i was less shy i think.

I AGREE ZORO IS CHOPPERS BROTHER. THANK U. although if we’re talking crew dynamics overall i do not think robin is a mother. she is 100% a cool aunt. and actually not that responsible when it comes to wrangling luffy and crew. franky’s a dad but he’s not THEIR dad. he’s just a dad coded guy who they’re friends with. jinbei gives grandfather even though hes only in his 40’s. brook is weird uncle. nami is a mom. sanji is also a mom. zoro is a big brother and usopp and luffy and chopper are little brothers. 

i made my irl friend get on tungle and she also uses it for kpop purposes lmao. i know very little about kpop but she likes ateez…my other friend likes stray kids…i had a friend who liked shinee and i liked one of their songs…i like a few bts songs…but i will never join that fandom (sorry mack if ur reading this)

i think in terms of like one piece videos i like melonteee, totally not mark, mugiwara no goofy (for laughs) and also these two guys who just shitpost and its really funny

You're Being Mean

Summary: Sanji confesses to the Reader, they should be happy but why are they suddenly resentful.

Genre: Angst. Hurt / Comfort.

Characters: Sanji, Reader (GN), Nami (mentioned), Zoro, Franky & Robin.

Warnings: No happy ending.

A/N: Franky and Reader have a sibling bond. He calls them 'little one' since Franky is huge. Also, this is my very first time writing for One Piece, I've been hyper-fixated on it for months, I'm currently on Dressrosa Arc!

This is based on Little Women and a bunch of Angsty ZoSan TikTok's I saw today..

Silence broke across the deck as I stared at Sanji, standing in front of me with a bouquet of flowers in his hand. I peeked over his shoulder to see Zoro with his hand covering his eyes, as if he couldn't bare to witness what was happening. I focused my eyes back on Sanji, his eyes staring at me full of hope. A knot began to form in my throat as I shook my head.

"No Sanji." Sanji flinched slightly, as if my answer had slapped him.

"What?" Now he was confused.

"You’re being mean." I stuttered back to him. I saw a flash of green out of the corner of my eyes, making his way to the cockpit to escape this awkward situation.

"What? How am I being mean?" He said with a slight chuckle, as if he couldn't believe what he was hearing. He began walking closer to me, putting his hand out as if to caress my face.

"Stop it!" I shouted. He flinched again dropping his hand back to his side.

"Stop it! I have been second to Nami in your eyes and I will not be the person you settle for just because you cannot have her. I won't do it." I turned my back to him, sniffling. I could see Robin standing in the doorway leading to the kitchen, eyes wide and hand covering her mouth. She looked at me with sympathy, she knew what I felt for him and what me saying this must've done to me. I faced Sanji once more.

"I won't…" I started quietly, shaking my head. "I won't. Not when I've spent the last few years loving you." Sanji opened his mouth to speak but I cut him off with a hand up in the air. I walked past him, lightly brushing his shoulder on my way to Franky's workshop. The door was shut, a signal that he was busy but he never minded when me or Robin interrupted him. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

"One second." Franky's voice called from inside the room. A few seconds later the door opened.

"Hey little one. What brings you her-" he stopped mid sentence, seeing the tears streaming down my face.

"Hey, hey what happened?" I shook my head flinging myself into his arms. He cradled me against his chest and brought me inside the workshop, closing the door behind us. I cried for a few minutes in his arms before I heard another knock on the door. I could hear Robin's voice calling out to us. The door opened and closed again and footsteps made their way to the couch me and Franky were on. She took a seat on the other side of me and place a hand on my arm, handing me a mug.

"It's Hot Chocolate." She spoke softly. I nodded and took a sip.

"What happened little one?" Franky asked from my other side. I took a deep breath.

"Sanji confessed to me." I muttered. Franky looked down at me.

"Well that’s super, shouldn't you be happy? I thought you liked him?" Franky said, very clearly confused at my crying.

"I refuse to be second to Nami. He hasn't given me an ounce of attention like he does to her in all the time that I've known him. I refuse to be the person he settles with just because he can't have Nami." Franky wrapped his arm back around me as I started crying again. Robin brushing my hair back. With her other hand she grabbed the mug of Hot Chocolate out of my hands and placed it on the table in front of the couch.

"I'm sorry darling." Robin said, running her hand over my back soothingly.
