Tibetan antelope (Pantholops hodgsonii)
Also known as the chiru, this gazelle-like relative of goats and sheep lives high on the Tibetan plateau. They prefer the open snowy, grass-covered steppe. As an adaptation to the high altitudes, they use foetal haemoglobin even in adulthood; this special kind of haemoglobin is usually only found in developing foetuses and is better at carrying oxygen.

Nubian ibex (Capra nubiana)
These ibexes are found in mountainous desert regions in Egypt and the Arabian Peninsula, and are smaller than other ibex species to avoid overheating. Like other goats, they are stellar climbers, and will climb cliffs and sometimes trees for food. They even sleep on cliffsides, digging small depressions to give themselves a little more room.
