A dog's wet nose is not strictly speaking the worst of the bunch, but it has its own peculiar dreadfulness which connoisseurs of the ghastly and dog owners everywhere have come to know and dread. Jack Fain Animatic

I’ll preface this video with the warnings, starting off with it is hella angsty. I don’t know what I was on when I started this but… it’s not jolly. Second:

TW: Brief alcohol depiction, lots of crying, sort of period-typical homophobia/repressed feelings, and sexual lyrics (the animatic doesn’t really visually interpret them.)

Alr so uhm. Yeah, as stated in the video, I started this in December of 2022. So. It’s a tad bit old. I thought it would be fun to post it on the first day of 2025 and be like, “hey! Look at how my art progressed!” But then I uh…didn’t finish it in time and also that just felt inappropriate (?? 💀) so uhm. Here you go!

I really, really like to play around with Jack and Sammy’s relationship. Of course when I started this, I was a bigger fan of it being one-sided than I am now, but I’ll roll with it. So that’s pretty much what the animatic is about. I’ll leave it sort of up to interpretation with the specifics because I’m not really sure I have a set idea myself.
