Apparently I made a whole document of incorrect quotes including Rodney, Radek, Laura, and Chuck 😂
These are my top five:
Cop: You're receiving a ticket for having three people on one motorcycle.
Laura: Shit.
Rodney: Wait, three?
Cop: ...Yeah?
Radek: OH MY GOD CHUCK FELL OFF!
-
Chuck: Whose turn is it to give the pep-talk?
Radek: *sighing* Rodney.
Rodney: Fuck shit up out there, but don't die.
Laura: *wiping away a tear* so inspirational.
-
Radek: Why do you look like that?
Rodney, laying face-first on the floor: Like what?
Radek: Like you're dead.
Rodney: It's because I am dying. leave me here to perish.
Chuck: Rodney accidentally called Laura "babe" in front of everyone today.
Rodney: *sobs into the floor.*
-
Radek: Are you upset that you don't get to be on the same team as Laura?
Chuck: Have you ever played a game with Laura?
Radek: No...
Chuck: Have you ever been trapped in a cage with a wolverine?
*meanwhile on the other side of the field*
Laura, chasing Rodney: I SAID FASTER! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE WORD "FASTER" MEANS? IT MEANS MORE FAST!
-
Laura: You lying, cheating, piece of shit!
Rodney: Oh yeah? You're the idiot who thinks they can get away with everything you do. WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD!
Laura: I'm leaving you, and I'M TAKING CHUCK WITH ME!
Radek, picking up the monopoly board: I think we're going to stop playing now.

the character everyone gets wrong
14. that one thing you see in fics all the time
25. common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing
Everyone is wrong about Eärendil. He didn't fuck off sailing to escape his wife and kids, he did it to try and save his country. Fall in a ditch. Now, for a character you may have actually heard of, everyone is wrong about Ronon Dex. This includes me and the writers. All of us. Deeply incorrect. 14. Fluffy kidnap fam where Elrond and Elros hate their birth parents. Again, I say to you--fall in a ditch. Alt: lack of acknowledgement that Teyla is just as bonkers as everyone else. This has gotten exponentially better in the last few years, but early SGA fic was rough for this. Unhinged Teylabeth rights. 25. "The D&D movie should have had a shot where it was the cast around a D&D table" Consider: you are wrong. Let me have indulgent fantasy! Thank you for the ask!

It annoys me how some h*llcheers, when accused of homophobia, say they can't be homophobic because they're gay/bi. You very much can be, internalized as well as lateral aggression. Gay people can be biphobic, same gender attracted women can be homophobic towards sga men, and vice versa.
It sucks to be a guy and engaging in an m/m ship because m/m shippers are accused of all being straight women who fetishise gay men (which is something h*llcheers have said about steddies). Yes, some are and it sucks, but a lot, if not most, are queer men and women. Also, in my experience most guys I've come across in m/m shipping spaces have been gay/bi transmascs (like me) and since "fetishistic straight women" we're often called by transphobic gays, I can't trust people who say that.
Not to mention how much it hurts when people say "why don't you just ship canon m/m couples instead?" Because there isn't a lot of shows, that aren't "gay shows" (pose, heartstopper, young royals), that have main characters who are queer men, and that's not their entire personality, much less for trans men or bi/pan men.
I'm glad will is canonically gay, but with the way it's presented in the show I'm sure that some straight viewers don't get it yet, and why can't we have more than him and robin? And let's be real, will is a much "safer" character to "make" queer than steve or eddie; character's that I'm sure more straight men are projecting themselves on than there are who project themselves on will. Imagine if a character that was "meant for" straight people, came out as gay or bi? It's not gonna happen, especially if that character is a man, because straight men's sexuality and masculinity are so intertwined and so, so fragile. So please, let us have fun. Let us make up headcanons for these characters that we love, because that's all we're ever gonna have.
Even though both parties in h*llcheer are dead and the possibility of them being canon is non existant, it's still less non existant than the possibility of steddie becoming canon, and would be met with zero hostility from the general audience, compared to steddie. We know why this is, and we also know why they can so easily demonize and make out all steddie shippers as villains, while burying any evidence of foul play on their own side.
This was long, sorry, but I needed to rant and I don't feel like being attracting #them to my blog.
Don't ever say sorry, I'm here for everybody who have the need to vent or rant🥹
Sorry but it's so stupid saying "I'm bi so I can't be homophobic" for the reasons you already listed.
Anyway you shouldn't listen to those kind of hellcheers, some of them don't even respect Grace, we can't expect to be treated with kindness when they see steddie as something that gets in between their ship.
Block them, filter their tag and even if you're tempted, don't go looking for their post to check what they're saying about steddies because it can be hurtful and can ruin your fun.
Instead, look for what makes you happy! HC, art, fanfiction, incorrect quotes (these are my favorite btw) etc.
I realize that in my blog we talk a lot about these toxic people and this is the reason why I proceed to reblog a lot of steddie/steve/eddie/joe/jamie/Joe K./other media content; like this I can also share something that we enjoy with people that check my blog to see what I answer, and might be upset by some of the asks.

something really bizarre is the fandom phenomenon— which is really just a rehash of the same of (euro)cishet paradigms —of how patriarchy-motivated fans(regardless of their specific IDentities) act like female characters are only ever "respect" or actualized like "real" women is if they are attached to men in some way— typically via making them romantically/sexually available for (white)men, among the characters and/or the audience.
It plays out as just typical dudebro-esque anti-lgbt sentiment with a (choice)"feminist" paint of wanting to "preserve" the sanctity of women being (white)men's accessories, and despite the (gravely incorrect invocation of the) phrase "misogyny against female characters", these people spew out the most patriarchal— and institutionally enshrined —ideas that the old cishet white men in charge of creating their favorite media already wholeheartedly buy into.
Female characters even remotely being interpreted as experiencing SGA— or *gasp* being a lesbian, or being GNC, or flat out simply not just being used as an accessory for a male character's story —immediately incites a mob of (choice)feminists invoking age-old "failed women" tropes to (ironically!) claim "misogyny" and "discrimination" against "real canon love"(m/f ships created by old white cishet male dominated media)
And the "failed women" tropes that keep getting invoked aren't even the most surprising thing— marginalized women are by and large used to how patriarchy works, not surprised —but it's the dishonesty of pretending that branding experiences of marginalization as "unfeminist"— relegating and degendering women of these marginalized experiences for not fitting the (Euro)cishet construction of The Woman —is what really incenses those who are used to being at the margins... and all for some white man worshipping
And I've been invoking Euro(pean) and White in a *very* purposeful fashion, bc not only is this narrow notion of womanhood constructed being European colonialism, but god forbid the man of the m/f ship in question looks like a H*tler's Youth propaganda poster, bc then things *really* start getting nasty of the fangirls who signed up to be (Euro)Patriachy's Vanguard then *really* start getting nasty to defend their right to make their female character of choice a self-insert trophy wife for Mr White Blond & Blue Eyes white dream. We've all seen how nasty things get around that Aryan powercouple of the 🇺🇸propaganda comics gets "disrespcted", the Klan hoods start coming out and suddenly the (alleged)antifash message of those 🇺🇸comics suddenly seems to have not sunken in among its most ardent defenders
this is a very random thing to send me, a lesbian, especially after i was harrassed and had my sexuality invalidated on twitter a month ago over a joke about personally preferring m/w ships to m/m ships.
genuinely don't know what else to say to this.

Google voice typing trial run
I haven't written anything for a while. I am trying to form good habits and be consistent in just about everything in my life because that's a big problem for me. And I don't think my therapist can help me with this as my psychiatrist NP suggested.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is this the name I have and coping in the ghetto is- I don't know what these words mean as of February 28th 2024.
I need to change the word ghetto because I do not live in the ghetto anymore. I know where that is in this medium sized city, which is the capital of the state.
It's a place that is depressing to me because it reminds me of where I was and I worry that things will go badly and I'll lose my little home that I love and be walking the streets looking for anything and everything. I worry about losing my sources of income because I'm not good enough at my job according to my coaches. Even so, I think I'm a good employee that works my ass off. My homework assignment is to ask a coach for a minute of their time and read from a piece of paper that I will have written ahead of time addressing all of the things that I need to communicate. Then we'll be on the same page and a weight will be lifted off my shoulders. I will try to do this today. I have already talked to HR and she was really nice. She said she would be a mediator between me and the coaches and the leads nothing has ever come of that. Sometimes I wonder if they are treating me differently because of what she told them. Because I'm not expected to do as much as the other people. I mean new people are doing what I don't do. I've told them that I can do things if they're written down and I can see. But they don't seem to have time to let me write things down. So the solution will be to find a lesson on their learning platform while I'm clocked in before I start working and take notes. Then go up to them and say, "hey I got this written down here and I can do it now if you want me to."
What angers me is that I have carpal tunnel syndrome now because of my hard work there and my knee is messed up now as well. I'll see you doctor next week.
Then there's the anxiety about having to pay social security back around $5,000 since I went over the SGA amount beginning in November. I thought things that were incorrect, and now I know that I should have called them and asked about working full-time before I did so. It was awful for my mental and physical health by the way. The good thing is I gave them my wage information and now I'm just waiting for a caseworker to call me back.
If I do owe all of my savings, then that is just what will happen. The next step would be to save money again. And that's all there is to that.
The other thing is my psychiatrist NP who is now telling me to taper off of pregabalin and just take gabapentin, which is what I'm taking for my nerve pain in my wrist. I told her Gabapentin does not work for anxiety- that I've tried it. She ignored me and continued with her expert thoughts. I think the pregabalin shows promise. I just haven't figured out the right dose. But I am scared of talking to her about that.
The hand surgeon told me that he doesn't put people on Gabapentin long term. That if the pain gets bad, then surgery is an option. By the way, he gave me a steroid injection and I think it's helped but I'm not sure. He said it could help for months .
Back to NP. ... then the solution- if she's not willing to respect my wishes (my bodily autonomy?)- will be to find a different psychiatrist.
Unfortunately, they're pretty much all the same though. Perhaps 1 in 30 might prove helpful. But there's no law that says you have to stay with your provider. You can always seek another one.
Besides being consistent with things and writing things down before I tap on someone's shoulder to communicate, I have to figure out how to stop this compulsive talking I do all day at home.
A lot of it is just because I'm lonely and have no one to talk to. I crave human connection. Not with just anyone, of course. My own company is better than Bad Company. I wonder what the band Bad Company were thinking when they came up with that name.
I am not making an effort in this department though, so I can change that when I'm ready.
But how do I stop the talking? It wastes hours of my day every day. I apologize to my cat for not playing with her. I feel horrible. So, in order to decrease the chances of my ending up in a scary place with scary people trying to take advantage of me and succeeding, I have got to use my powerful amazing brain to make use of my precious time when I'm not at work.
Okay this should be the end of this Google Voice typing test. I think it works rather well so I'll continue to use it. This would be the beginning of another one.
Taking action. Cognitive behavioral therapy for me and you. No, the following is not something I came up with. Do I have to mention the source? I'll throw caution to the wind. This is from stuff I bought way over 10 years ago. It was expensive for me by the way, lol.
Lesson 1.
Anxiety: Symptoms, Causes, and Common Fears.
1. Notice personality traits that encourage anxiety.
2. Begin to appreciate the positive side of your personality.
3. You can change the way you think.
4. Begin making behavior changes.
5. Begin journaling.
6. Slow down in all ways.
7. Begin an exercise routine and reduce caffeine.
8. Recovery is a gradual process.
9. Use relaxation audio session three times daily.
10. Listen to your inner dialogue. Respectful? Kind?
"Your history does not have to be your future."
To be continued.

The Milky Way is just one galaxy in a vast cosmic web that makes up the Universe’s large-scale structure. While ESA’s Gaia spacecraft is building a map of our stellar neighborhood, a team of astronomers with the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) Legacy Survey have released a comprehensive galactic map that includes all the data from three wide-ranging surveys completed between 2014 and 2017. Called the Siena Galaxy Atlas (SGA), it contains the distance, location, and chemical profile of 380,000 galaxies across half of the night sky. “Previous galaxy compilations have been plagued by incorrect positions, sizes and shapes of galaxies, and also contained entries which were not galaxies but stars or artifacts,” explained Arjun Dey, an astronomer with NOIRLab, who was involved in the project. “The SGA cleans all this up for a large part of the sky. It also provides the best brightness measurements for galaxies, something we have not reliably had before for a sample of this size.” NOIRLab is the US National Science Foundation’s National Optical-Infrared Astronomy Research Laboratory, which coordinated the project. The SGA is named for Siena College in Loudenville, New York. Astronomers say this map of the sky helps provide a comprehensive picture of the cosmos as well as providing support further research, including studies of galaxy formation and the structure of the Universe. Comprehensive all-sky surveys can help scientists spot broad patterns across a population of objects, put new discoveries such as transient events in the context of their surroundings, and identify the best candidates for focused observations. Data for the SGA comes from the Dark Energy Camera (DECam) on the Víctor M. Blanco 4-meter Telescope at CTIO in Chile; the Mosaic3 camera on the Nicholas U. Mayall 4-meter Telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory in Arizona; and the Beijing-Arizona Sky Survey (BASS) with the 90Prime camera on the Bok 2.3-meter Telescope, which is operated by Steward Observatory at KPNO. It also contains additional data from a survey by NASA’s Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) satellite. A galactic collision of two galaxies which began more than 300 million years ago, NGC 520 is actually made up of two disk galaxies which will eventually merge together to form one larger, more massive system. NGC 520 was discovered by William Herschel in 1784 and is one of the largest and brightest galaxies in the Siena Galaxy Atlas. Credit:CTIO/NOIRLab/DOE/NSF/AURA NOIRLab said all these surveys captured images in optical and infrared wavelengths to chart a total area of 20,000 square degrees — which comprises nearly half of the night sky — making it among the largest galaxy surveys. With all this information brought together in one place, the SGA offers precise data on the locations, shapes, and sizes of hundreds of thousands relatively nearby large galaxies. It also updates old data with unprecedented accuracy. It is also the first comprehensive survey to provide data on the galaxies’ light profiles. “Nearby large galaxies are important because we can study them in more detail than any other galaxies in the Universe; they are our cosmic neighbors,” said John Moustakas, professor of physics at Siena College and SGA project leader, in a press release. “Not only are they strikingly beautiful, but they also hold the key to understanding how galaxies form and evolve, including our very own Milky Way galaxy.” The SGA is not only available to professional astronomers, but is also completely available to the public to peruse and use. Panning on galaxies NGC 520 and IC 4212, both from the Siena Galaxy Atlas. “The SGA is going to be the pre-eminent digital galaxy atlas for large galaxies,” says Dey. However, he points out that the SGA is not just for academic researchers, it is freely available to view online for anyone wishing to get to know our corner of the Universe better. Dey adds, “In addition to its scientific utility, it has a lot of pictures of beautiful galaxies!” “The public release of these spectacular data contained in the atlas will have a real impact not only on astronomical research, but also on the public’s ability to view and identify relatively nearby galaxies,” says Chris Davis, NSF Program Director for NOIRLab. “Dedicated amateur astronomers will particularly love this as a go-to resource for learning more about some of the celestial targets they observe.” You can scan the the SGA database here.
