This…this isn’t potential foreshadowing…is it?

Thinking about this moment in Transformers One again. Particularly, the symbolism behind B’s mask — how it is a literal barrier between him and the rest of the world, distorting both his voice and appearance and representative of the isolation of sub-level 50. And then how this mask is so quickly discarded and forgotten as soon as Orion and D arrive and B actually has others to talk to. He drops the mask onto the conveyor belt with the other garbage to be smelted. Not only discarded, but completely destroyed, just as the idea that B will be forever alone down there has been.

So while I've decided that Optimus is a complete lightweight, Megatron cannot get drunk. And this was based on a panel that I saw in the IDW comics where Megatron disabled something in the back of another Cybertronian's head. But I digress.

But Hanji takes that as a challenge, and they grab Wheeljack and convince him to try and create concoctions to get Megatron drunk. Megatron, surprisingly, agrees because he's interested in seeing how well his tolerance has held up. Which does lead to shenanigans, such as Megatron baiting Levi into a drinking contest which does not go well for Levi.

Optimus is almost tempted to stop it, but can't help but be a little bit curious. And after hours and hours of testing and testing, Megatron finally gets drunk. And not like the hypothetical Optimus acting like a complete dumbass because he's a lightweight. No, no, no. Megatron is a calm and sentimental drunk. He's gonna be reminiscing about some of his favorite memories that aren't violent and graphic.

And he ends up spilling some really personal information. AKA Terminus. Everyone is caught off guard, even Optimus, because he didn't talk about his personal life with him prior to the arena. Megatron does sober up, but is genuinely nervous when everyone is just staring at him flabbergasted.

…but I hope Husk was a fucking SAVAGE overlord.

• I hope he was an overlord that you’d think twice before fucking with.

• I hope he was actually the opposite of the Husk we fucking love from all those Overlord fics of him.

• I hope that one of - if not the only reason - he thinks he can’t be redeemed/doesn’t want to be redeemed, is because he knows how fucking god awful he could be.

• I hope - in a way - Alastor coming along, rocking Husk’s shit and stealing his soul, gave Husk the biggest fattest reality karma bitchslap he needed to realise how vile he was dealing in souls - in people - as if they were mere commodities.

• I hope he runs into someone who he used to own, and, with that, I HOPE we see how he truly feels about his past.

Why do I think this is all important?

Because I think it becomes massively important when thinking about his budding association with Angel Dust.

Someone who is currently also dealing with that torment of not owning their soul, but someone who HASN’T dabbled on the flip side of being in the Overlord role.

Someone who would likely have only bad associations with Overlords.

How would Angel really react to knowing Husk’s overlord story in its entirety rather than the glimpse we see him learn?

The best bit about this is, we also see this same hand in Husk’s hand while he’s fighting in the Finale

In episode 4, when Husk appears to lose everything to Alastor, the final card is The Jack of Diamonds.

Interestingly, the card in Husk’s hand also appears again atop the Loser sign in Loser Baby, and showcases a tophat.

The two cards to the right of The Jack of Diamonds in both Husk’s hand and atop the Loser sign are also interesting to look at. The Queen of Spades appears to have this large central eye feature. This is also the card that gets lodged in the ceiling when Husk first attacks to the loan sharks in episode 4.

Finally, the King of Clubs appears to have a crown detail adorned with antlers.

…its almost like the cards are already on the table, they just need to align (for that royal flush energy).

Husk almost saved Angel with a Royal Flush. Since I always read way too far into things, have some pointless card symbolism!

Thought I’d offer my additions to this because this has also been plaguing me for a minute…

In Season 1, episode 4, in Husk’s hand while saving Angel, we see that mentioned Jack of Diamonds, Queen of Spades and that debatable King of Spades/Clubs…

Interestingly, these cards are surrounded by two others. The 10 of Diamonds (noted as the most blessed card, particularly regarding material and financial abundance) and the Ace of Hearts (the signalling of new beginnings and/or new feelings/love)

Additionally, during the fight, one card from the five in Husk’s hand ends up stuck in the ceiling of The Black Dot, and becomes semi-trapped amidst some netting…

Foreshadowing?

Furthermore, if you look closely at the first and second images, the Jack of Diamonds bears a top hat:

The Queen of Spades possesses a emphasis on eyes:

And, that debatable King of Spades/Clubs has what appears to be antlers adorning a crown at its top corners:

I guess what I’d love to know is…are these 3 fuckers gonna fucking COMBINE and become some triple threat?

Is that why Husk still has his power and isn’t dead like other former overlords following a skirmish with Alastor?

If these three cards were effectively being used by Husk to save Angel, is this foreshadowing a future situation that there’s going to be a team up to save Angel again from perhaps a bigger threat?? Say, for example, another prominent group of 3 in Hell??
