nina and kate try to have a cute little date and look at some christmas decorations (per nina's request) and kate gets fucking OBLITERATED by the lights

im late cuz christmas is over BUT i think this happens for several places nina tries taking kate to(stores with flickering fluorescents, concerts, etc). nina brings kate somewhere and within 10 minutes kate has a skullsplitting migraine and is covering her face and trying to sit down and ninas like "whats wrong baby?!" and kates like "." trying to be sane and normal and relaxed but cannot speak bc shes hurting n frustrated. eventually ninas like "oooohhhhhhh right" and is kinda embarrassed. nina brings her back to her apartment(a blessing to kate, who's used to the grimy cold proxy cabin miles into the forest) and just lays down till the pain subsides.

i think if nina wanted to actually look at christmas lights w kate, she'd have to be VERY picky/selective about the neighborhoods she chooses. none with those strobe lights, nothing flashing, mostly just those simple hanging lights + some inflatable stuff.
