funnily enough i think 1Pcana 2Pame is actually likely to go well together haha.... maybe at first cana is like wow (T_T) hes even more of an asshole than the ame i know... then blablabla WHAT?! he is being sincere transparent ?!?!?!?! the bewilderment of seeing a version of ur brother without his constant effort into projecting a specific image... i think cana is always. a little fascinated by these kinds of moments from ame but its moments he has to wrestle out of or comes after a kind of peak of things building up... and here it just comes out of this new ame?! without prompting?!? only awhile after they just met?!?! so heres the little weird bonding theyd have afterwards... easing of first impression hostilities.... and 2Pame is like haha a polite cana can u imagine... haha lol... haha hes sooo nicer and accomodates to me hahaa.. on the opposite end i think 1Pame and 2Pcana would just not like each other LOL i think i mentioned them before, finding what they could be interesting. i still find them interesting but in the way that i really dont think theyd get along and its really funny to me. just from first impression theyre like i dont like this guy... and then upon spending more time theyre like i REALLY dont like this guy... from 1Pame specifically i think hes just someone who doesnt mesh well with tough or more hostile demeanor guys i think... he doesnt like accomodating people and hes definitely not interested in this. this jerk?! (he was also kindof a jerk). especially since he looks like cana... i think he can deal with people who are colder like that if there is a semblance of attention or affection there.. with this new cana hes like u wont be nice to me and u wont even pay attention to me. Hello! He, sure, why not, let me try and guess a bit about them. Its from my understanding from them though, so please bear with me.

Keegan He strikes me as a slightly typical and at the same moment an atypical Taurus. Taurus people are most noted for their dependability, patience and perseverance. Their quiet strength and determination inspires others to trust them. But they can also get suspicious and stingy if you handle them the wrong way and are quite easily angered if your rub certain red flags into their paths. So yeah, Keegan is dependable, patient, he has to be as a sniper. He is ambitious as well and though Taurus people are said to only take change in slight doses they can plan for, he is striving and fighting for change. At least change in some aspects of his life and the life of others.

And hey, its said that Taurus' most erogenous zones are the neck an throat. ^^

Graves Alright, I have to admit I was a bit torn about his sun sign. First I thought, Leo because its lust and love on live, striving to life everything to its fullest and damn the consequences. But, there was also Scorpio, which also has so many facets that would fit into my own understanding of Graves. In the end, if i had to choose, which I have to here, I would choose Scorpio. Scorpio is the sign of extremes, the best and the worst humanity can offer all put and pushed into one sign. Scorpios need a positive outlet for themselves or else they can easily show signs of brooding, jealousy and vengefulness. And if Graves isnt showing that, I dont know. He must have felt pushed down and corraled in red tape and constrictions without being able to do anything to help in a way he knew he could, but was never allowed to, that he had to make the change himself. A small excerpt i found very fitting is this: When positive emotions are engaged the Scorpion energy, drive and endurance shine through. I also headcannoned her name as Zara Robotik because it sounded both Arabic and Slavic/Russian like Stone and Robotnik's names plus it's just adorable, and my hc voice for her is Lara Jill Miller aka Fink from Ok KO because I thought it was fitting for her smarmy little self.

I don't know when exactly I realized I was drunk, but it might have been around the same time I started to walk toward my crush, George Weasley. When I'm sober, I would've never done this, I'm incredibly awkward and not straight forward at all. I prefer to stare longingly from across the room when it comes to crushes of mine.

Something about the fire whiskey coursing through my veins gave me a newfound confidence. This too was super unlike me. I never drink. But having to stare at George for so long knowing I'm not with him and he most likely doesn't feel the same way really got me craving some. I was invited to this Gryffindor party by Ginny, who I'm relatively close with. Ginny knows about my crush on her brother, and she constantly tells me to confess and that I might be surprised with the outcome. But I was never able to decipher if I would be surprised in a good way or a bad way. I just assume it would be in a bad way because if George really did like me back, Ginny would tell me.

I snap out of my thoughts when I realized I had walked into a chair that's in the middle of the common room. I look up slowly hoping nobody saw but much to my dismay as I look around, I make eye contact with George, who is smirking at me. His brown eyes bore into mine and I want to disappear right then and there. Suddenly I see his mouth slowly open, and he begins to say something. I mentally prepare myself to be completely and utterly embarrassed by the next thing that comes out of his mouth. " Oi y/n I reckon there's a chair there." before I can even process what he said to me I begin to speak, what I thought at the time, to be a clever comeback. " Oi y/N I ReCkON therEs a cHaiR theRe InNIt." I smack my hand over my mouth, just as shocked with my response as George is. Suddenly he bursts into a fit of laughter and says, " I didn't even say innit you goof." he pauses to catch his breath and then speaks once more. " Your british accent is weak love, I think you might need me to give you some lessons." I stand there awkwardly and then speak up again "YoUr BRiiSh AcCenT Is WeAK LOv , I FiNk i MIgHt NeEdA GivE yA sOM LeSsOns." He only chuckles this time, but Fred begins to Laugh like a hyena beside him.

"MAN, SHE SOUNDS JUST LIKE YOU HA." George glances at Fred and back to me and then back to Fred, "Shove off, mate. You're british too." Regardless of him telling off Fred he still supports a small smirk. I decide to sit down in the chair I ran into.

I close my eyes for a second rethinking my previous decisions when I suddenly feel a small tap on my shoulder. I open my eyes and am met with George kneeled Infront of me. "Why do you never talk to me?"

Huh? He speaks to me only to ask why I never talk to him? What is this? "I just did." I respond. He only scoffs a bit, still smiling though. "No not like that, I mean like, actually talk to me. I know you're friends with Ginny, and I know you speak with Ron, and Fred. But you never talk to ME. And then you make fun of me when I speak to you. What is up with that?"

I don't know what to say. Do I confess? Do I make something up?

I ultimately decide to answer his question with my own question. " Does it bother you?" His eyes go wide, and his face flushes a light pink. " Uh-no... yes. I, I...... fancy you y/n and its fine if you don't feel the same. I would be fine with you just being my friend, but it hurts that you only talk to my siblings and never me, what did i do?" I don't know how to respond, and I don't know what to do. My face drops and my head goes blank. I only stare into his eyes. He begins to search my face for any sign of any kind of response. " I like you too George. So much. I don't speak to you because I'm extremely awkward and I knew I would embarrass myself... kind of like I did tonight." I smile at him and its almost like his pupils turn into hearts. The whole demeanor of his face changes. His eyes soften and the small smile on his face begins to grow wider. " You didn't embarrass yourself. I thought it was cute... and funny." He winks at me, and I feel my face get hot.

He reaches up and places his hand on top of my hand. As his hand is on mine I think of Ginny, why didn't she tell me? "George, did Ginny know you like me?" George stares at our hands and then looks up and responds “Yes, did Ginny know you liked me?"

My mouth drops "Yes!! Why didn't she tell me you like me?!?" George lets out a nervous giggle and then responds, " I kind of told her that if she told you about my feelings that I would prank her like there's no tomorrow." I chuckle and then kiss his cheek. He speaks up after I pull away "So... does that mean you would want to go on a date with me ??" I pause and stare at him for a second, both of us blushing and smiling big. "Mmmmmm no" I respond as I place a kiss on his lips.

The West Midlands Police were kind enough to upload a high-rez of their surveillance camera control room to Flickr under a CC license (they've since deleted it), and it was the perfect frame for dozens of repeating clown images with HAL9000 red noses. This worked out great. The clown face is from a 1940s ad for novelty masks.

I spent an absurd amount of time transforming a photo I took of three pinball machines into union-busting themed tables, pulling in a bunch of images from old Soviet propaganda art. I hand-made the eight-segment TILT displays.

Bosch's "Garden of Earthly Delights" makes for an excellent, public domain hellscape fit for a nonconensual pitch about the miracle of capitalism.

There's no better image for stories about techbros scamming rubes than Bosch's 'The Conjurer.' Throw in Jeff Bezos's head and an Amazon logo and you're off to the races. I boobytrapped this image by adding as many fingers as I could fit onto each of these figures in the hopes that someone could falsely accuse me of AI-generating this. No one did.

Once again, it's Bosch to the rescue. I really struggle to come up with images for my linkdump posts. I'm running out of ways to illustrate assortments and varieties. I got to noodling with a Kellogg's mini-cereal variety pack and I realized it was the perfect place for a vicious gorilla image I'd just found online in a WWI propaganda poster headed 'Destroy This Mad Brute.' I put so many fake AI tells in this one – extra pupils, extra fingers, a super-AI-esque Kellogg's logo.

The more I think on it, the more I believe Wild Robot is arguably the perfect Dreamworks' movie for myself.

Roz & Brightbill feeling like outsiders to their respective origins really sells the weight of how truly lost and lonely both are in their pursuit of understanding what to make of it all. Their dynamic being brought together through heartbreaking misfortune is immensely profound. Makes me reflect upon what own my mother went through trying to fit in with her family, but never could. Just as I have always been insecure about trying to figure out my own place, when she brought me into this world and a big family. In retrospect, we both felt "defective" for our own reasons.

Usually, I don't cry often at movies, or anything for that matter, but their internal struggle of acting like a natural mother & son drives a knife through my heart in the best manner. A surreal mirror of my own life struggling to feel okay with being myself. Further reinforcing how much I love my mother went above and beyond to give me a life of happiness, in spite of whatever bumps in the road happened.

"The accident that killed your family saved you. Funny how life works...?"

The Wild Robot's biggest feat, if not one of many, is managing to make all the denizens of this island not feel insanely mean spirited. It is more so capturing that harsh aspect of nature's morbid atmosphere. In this regard, those chances of Brightbill making it as the runt of that litter were practically nonexistent without Roz's unexpected arrival. He likely would've been either killed by nature's intense elements, a lurking predator of some kind, or end with his biological mother giving up on helping him learn to fly. It served to emphasize nature's survival instincts, in contrast to Roz's evolving compassion for Brightbill. No one else wanted to help the poor kid out because all they saw was dead meat, more or less. Even Fink, despite warming up to Brightbill, wanted to eat him right off the bat after coming across his egg.

Brightbill's weak wings weren't psychically capable in achieving normal flight, much less even a full on migration. However, Roz's determination allowed him to be able to survive from winter, just like the rest of his species. It's the beauty of showing kindness, even to those who may or not like you that can inspire emotional growth. Learning to stay optimistic in an unforgiving environment can bring out the best surprises from places you'd least expect it.

"This is my migration. And when it is time I promise I will find my way home."

The Wild Robot's heavily endearing lesson about kindness persevering makes its ending feel entirely earned. The animals don't just get along with each other right off the bat. Almost dying from that terrible winter storm was a serious wake up call they can't rely on being by themselves forever. Survival instincts or not, it's about opening yourself up to the possibility of trusting and relying upon genuine emotions. Much like Brightbill's entire character was learning to accept Roz did genuinely care for his well being as his mother. Tragedy may have created their situation, but it doesn't define whatever comes next in building a heartfelt connection.

Honestly, it's why I believe The Wild Robot is among Dreamworks' very finest stories they've animated to life. Taking basic ideas spicing them up to feel more emotionally introspective about ourselves. Hell, I'd probably place at it the very top of my number one spot in my favorite Dreamworks' content. It seriously affected me in ways I didn't expect. A bold statement to be sure, but that alone should be a damn great enough reason, as far as I'm concerned.

A simple story about parenthood can do wonders. Especially when it's executed in this caliber of writing. Chris Sanders and his team are legends in their own making.

I just saw Wild Robot in theaters and I am absolutely enamored by every aspect of it.

[YAP SESSION WITH SPOILERS AHEAD]

There were so many beautiful lessons and themes in the whole film that it’s hard to just pick out and label them because doing so would disservice the film in its entirety.

-Roz: From the very start I felt such a strong connection to her. She never really ‘fits in’ anywhere, and faces isolation from those she wants so desperately to form a connection with. It takes her awhile to adapt and understand things outside of her ‘program’, and even then it’s a learning curve for her, change is difficult to process and understand. But eventually she gets to a point where she’s stuck at a crossroads, she still isn’t quite synchronous with the community around her, but they’ve begun to understand and accept her, and she knows that she would be out of place if she returned to her maker. Her love and care for Brightbill and Fink are difficult for her to express verbally, but she expresses through her actions, eventually getting the vocabulary she needs and yearned for. She took her programming, and used it to create a life she truly wanted, not just a husk of a being.

-Brightbill: I saw this film with my dad and my stepmom. My stepmom raised me, she is just Mom for me, but there was a moment where I didn’t understand why I never really got to spend time with my biological mother, and I held a lot of animosity surrounding that for a long time. Eventually I grew to understand that she wasn’t to blame, the situation was out of her control, she simply adjusted her sails to save me, becoming my Mom without hesitation even if it was difficult as first. She was the Roz to my Brightbill, and sacrificed so much of her time to learn and adapt to raise me, and now she has to watch me grow up and live a life of my own.

-Fink: I wasn’t expecting to like him as much as I did, I feel like fox characters tend to fall into a very specific mold and seem flat and under developed. But seeing his growth through the film was lovely. They made it clear that it wasn’t an instantaneous change. He went through lapses where he would self isolate his honest thoughts again, not even sharing them with Roz. But as he spends more time with Roz and Brightbill, he starts to grasp the fact that there are people who WILL care about him with no strings attached. And that he is allowed to get close to others and love them without the fear of it being transactional.

Disability Representation: I was not expecting this at all, and it may not have even been entirely intentional, but elements of this story spoke a truth that rang into my bones as a disabled person. When Roz loses a foot she adapts her surroundings to suit her needs so she can still navigate while training Brightbill to fly. Paddler even makes her a prosthesis to replace the section of the leg she lost. The isolation all three face from their peers for being different and out of place hit so close to home. Being isolated from others because you were “too odd” is something my family and I, and so many other neurodivergent people have experienced, and sometimes you start to lose hope on finding a community that will accept you, until you find them in the most unexpected places.

Going off of that, Brightbill being significantly smaller than the other geese and the criticism he faces for something out of his control was written so well. There are people who will write you, and your capabilities, off without question once they realize that you are disabled and ‘not normal’. He has to do considerably more work and put in more effort to be seen in an equal standing as his able bodied peers. That’s why I think the lesson he learns (along the lines) of “you can do anything I can do, even if it has to look different to fit you” was so important. Disabled people CAN and SHOULD be given the same respect and consideration as able bodied people, and the end result should be the object of value- not the accommodation it took to get there.

I have so many more thoughts but I will contain myself, I do want to see it again sometime soon though :]

I need some help! I spent most of my life in the UK, but I'm living in the States. I miss it. And I may have keyed in a few changes to make me feel at home. But, I dunno, I feel different, mate. What do you fink is happen'?

Mate, you've made a few adjustments to get back to living life as a chav like you did in Newcastle. But "Young", "Stupid", "Lazy" and "Constantly Horny" admittedly leads straight to a cheap haircut, tracksuit and fake Louis Vuitton hip bag at the bus stop in the UK. But you're in Los Angeles… The clocks tick differently there. You won't be a scally. You become more of a muscle bro. No interest in soccer, just football. No beer drinking and no chain smoking. American jocks are so boring. I'm glad you contacted me.

You're standing in front of the mirror. Flawless white teeth, buzzcut, toned and tanned muscles. Ey, not everything is bad. But that has nothing to do with homesickness. And the constant "bruh" and "dude" also annoys you… One of your gym bruhs calls and asks what's up. You ask "Mate, what dee ya say to a pint in the pub?" Your bruh asks if everything is okay with you. Alcohol? And at this time of day? He wanted to go to the gym and then to the beach. "Nah, mate! i was goin' to break for lunch na n' then i havta get 'ack to work here." Back to work? You're in college. And it's Spring Break…. Fuck, of course not. You're a carpenter. Interning at an interior design company here in the US. Fuck, the quality here really sucks. You should have tried to get an internship in Scandinavia. Or even better in Germany. There you can already drink beer for breakfast. And not some light stuff like here…

You have to burp. You made yourself a great English breakfast this morning in your dorm. None of that high-protein low-carb crap. Eggs, bacon, beans. Whatever a real man needs in the morning. Shit, beans always make you fart…

Your basketball shorts become work pants. Your tank top becomes a t-shirt. Your cool Apple Watch becomes a cheap almost real gold swank watch. On the other wrist you wear a matching bracelet. Your cell phone vibrates. "Mate, us're meetin' for a booze-up at the bus stop na. Are ya comin'?" You reply that the bloody pigs should fuck off, you're in fucking America and you still have work to do. You take a selfie and send it to your mates.

"mate, hav ya bin under the tannin' 'ed?" "you look like a 'each propa lad!" "come 'ack soon, ya're nit gettin' enough weed!"

You just answer with "I miss ya fuckers". It's time to go home. A chav like you just doesn't fit in California.

My favorite genre of characters is the trope of two sides of the same coin. (Pt.1 Charlie and Cameron)

Charlie and Cameron:

Charlie is the delinquent of the story. He is the rebel and he is admired for that by classmates and even the fan base. He searches for validation in Mr.Keating because he needs that. Charlie as a character search’s for validation and attention through lashing out and breaking rules. And from the way the movie is set up and his conversation with Neil we can assume that Charlie doesn’t get that by his parents. This is more shown when he threatens to get expelled by Mr Nolan and Mr keating shares his displeasure with that. Charlie’s response is “I’d thought you’d like that”. This shows such a new part of Charlie’s character. Charlie inadvertently through this line is telling us that he seeks validation in higher authority he looks up too. Charlie has no conception of his consequences even after being beaten. He wants so deeply to be noticed and treated as what he preserves himself to be and through that he hurts himself. He is “choking on the bone” as Mr. Keating says which directly contrasts with Cameron.

Cameron is the tattle of the story. He is not the scapegoat but the butt of the joke. He is the up-tight “fink” who sucks up to teachers. Like Charlie he craves attention but not from Keating but from Nolan. Cameron wants attention and he does that through Mr Nolan by getting good grades and being the model student. But to no avail. He goes unnoticed and pushed in the background despite being Mr Nolans model student. Cameron works to be liked upon higher authority which is shown when he is the only one writing down the J. Evan’s Pritchard scale and how Keating describes his walk as trying to fit in. Cause that’s what Cameron wants to do. He wants to fit in and conceptualized himself to be better perceived by others of higher authority and intelligence. He never acts out of line and even when he does with the secret meetings he does it to insure the best interest in his friend group. Cameron notices the consequences of his actions and acts upon making them better.

Cameron and Charlie are two separable people who share such similar angsts. Charlie is defiant while Cameron is obedient. Charlie is a rule breaker while Cameron is a rule follower. In an outside perspective they are polar opposites but that is so far from the truth. They both share a major commonality that is the true message of the movie. They both are victims of conformity.

Charlie conforms himself in fitting outside the box (acting out for action do higher powers) unlike cameron who conforms himself to fit in. They both went to Mr. Keating class and they both learned the same thing. But why did Charlie end in a more favorable position at the end? It’s because Charlie had support. He will always be seen as a defined system of seizing the day while cameron will always be defined as a subject of conformity. Cameron every time he speaks or expresses his way of seizing the day he gets out down cause that’s unconventional. But Charlie expresses his way of seizing the day and he is loved. That’s why Charlie ends on a better note than cameron because he has SUPPORT!!!!

Charlie can sieze the day because he is what’s expected but Cameron can’t cause he is what everyone else is striving away from being.

Yes cameron did learn and hear what Mr keating was saying just like Charlie . But he saw the bad, he saw the reality of choking on the bone while Charlie is blind to it till told by his role model. Charlie doesn’t see the consequences of his actions when Neil passed but Cameron did. He saw Neil’s death as a direct consequence of him expressing himself outside of social norms. That’s why he got defensive.

Charlie is the tail of the coin. The sees the world blindly from behind while Cameron the head of the coin sees the world as it truly is.

Here's a sneak peek at a one or two shot idea I had. I was wondering if a few people could read it and tell me if it's completely incomprehensible and I need to tone it down, or if it's readable.

Hiccup has been turned into a toddler by a druid hired by Viggo.

Hiccup wiped at his face before placing his hand on Toothless’ snout. “It otay, Toobwiss.” 

Astrid petted his hair soothingly. “How much do you remember?” 

“Ebe’yting.” He pointed at her. “Youh Astwid, das Snotwout, Fisswegs, Heaber, Wuffnut an’ Tubnut!” 

“Oh my heart would melt if this wasn’t terrible,” said Heather. 

“Bee-go anna dwiud casted a spehwah on me,” he explained, nodding vigorously. 

“‘Viggo and a Druid cast a spell on me’” Fishlegs translated. “I’m pretty sure that’s what he said, at least. I babysat my niece a lot back on Berk.” 

“So how old do you reckon you are, H?” Asked Tuff. 

“Um…I fink I tree.” 

“You think you’re a tree?” 

“No! Tree!” 

“That’s what I said.” 

“I said tree!” 

Fishlegs sighed. “Three, Tuff. He thinks he��s three. Some sounds are hard for little kids. Definitely the ‘Th’ sound. Sounds like Hiccup struggles with Ls and Rs.” 

“Foh seberal yeawhs,” said Hiccup, frowning at how incomprehensible he was. 

“For several years, got it,” said Astrid. 

“Say ‘Terrible Terror’,” demanded Tuff. 

“Tehbobo Tewhoa,” Hiccup replied, only to frown afterwards. 

Astrid tsked, then crossed her arms. “So, Hiccup’s mind in the body of a three year old? That’s what we’re working with?” 

“It seems like he has the emotional maturity of a three year old too. He might just have our current Hiccup’s memories,” observed Fishlegs. 

“Only one way to find out!” Said Tuff. “What’s six times three?” 

Hiccup pouted before answering, “Um…eighteen?” 

“Oh, so close, better luck next time!” 

“Eighteen is the right answer, muttonhead,” Snotlout snarked. 

“Oh. Maybe someone else should quiz him.” 

“Let’s worry about that later. Right now, I need to send another Terror to Berk.” 

“I’ll take care of it, if the Twins wrestle another Terror,” Snotlout shot them a look. “Little Hiccy needs some babysittin’ and I’m not that kind of guy.” 

“I don’ need babensittin!” Hiccup protested. 

“Sorry H, you’re way too cute, I can’t take you seriously.” 

“I not toot!” He yelled, his eyes watering again. 

“Don’t let them get to you,” Astrid comforted. “But you are rather adorable, Hiccup.” 

“Ooh!” He lamented, burying his face in his hands. 

“Well, without your leg and Toothless’ tailfin, I don’t think either of you are getting around much independently. And even though you shrunk, I think Toothless is still too small to carry you.” 

Toothless, in response, curled up against Hiccup, and rested his head in his lap. Hiccup pet him with his little baby hands. “He’s da size of a Night Tewhoa.” 

“Yeah, maybe a little bigger than Smidvarg.” 

Hiccup frowned harder, his little mouth trembling. “Whadder we gonna do? I tant heahp wike dis.” 

“Nor would we want you to go out when you’re so vulnerable. I already sent for Gothi. Hopefully it’s temporary.” 

“What if it’s not? Astwid, whaddif I stuck fibteen years younder dan you duys?” 

“Then you’re younger than us. We’ll figure it out. As we always have.” 

“I fink imma try again.” 

“Try what?” 

Tears started rolling down his cheeks and he helplessly sobbed. 

Oh ‘cry’. Sounded like he had trouble with the ‘k’ sounds too. 

“Oh Hiccup…” she sighed. 

He held his arms out, asking for a hug. 

She picked him up again, holding him as he cried. It wasn’t a screaming sob like earlier, just weak moans and sniffles. 

She stood, still holding him. “Alright, first thing we need to do is find you something to wear that fits. That tunic is a little too big for you.” 

Mostly in the sleeves, as his hands were where his elbows would be. The bottom of the tunic almost came down to his ankles. 

He sniffed. “Da test in da torner,” he pointed to the corner of the room. 

“Oh, the chest in the corner,” said Fishlegs, going to it. 

“I hab my owed gween tunit.” 

“This?” Fishlegs held up the green tunic Hiccup used to wear before his growth spurt. 

Hiccup held his hands out for it, making a grabby motion. 

“Let me help—“ Fishlegs reached for him. 

“I do it myself!” Hiccup demanded. “Down!” 

“So demanding…” Astrid chuckled to herself. She set him on the floor where he could kneel and Fishlegs gave him the tunic. 

Hiccup started to pull the red tunic off, when he realized the rest of his clothes were still on the bed. “I nated! Tuwn awound!” 

“What?” 

“He’s naked under there, and wants us to turn around.” 

“Oh.” The girls sheepishly turned their backs to give the toddler some privacy, but Astrid wondered at what point he would realize he needed help, especially with his leg. 

They listened as he huffed and grunted, wrestling with the clothes. 

“You okay?” Astrid asked. 

“Neber been so hawd to det dwessed!” Never been so hard to get dressed. Astrid was starting to understand some of his words. 

“Otay!” He called.
