i think the real reason Lucanis has a coffee addiction is so the animators had an excuse to show just how good they are at making characters hold cups now.

like look at that. its not floating 6 inches away from his palms. it goes up and down with his hands. he's even got one hand on the handle itself! we've come so far since the hilarious joining chalice animation in Origins and Solas's cup of misery tea that floats 4 seconds behind his arm movements

Which I think we need to take a moment to analyze.#It's probably easiest to look at this as ship-tease but I think it's far more in line with how WWX's mask is slipping.#He knows full well how poorly touching LWJ's headband went in the past.#But somehow - in this moment of his anger being targeted at JZX - that crucial information is forgotten.#He's got tunnel vision over something so small...and what do we know about emotions that don't suit the supposed cause?#Why that would be displacement. Something is bothering him and it sure is *not* just Jin Zixuan's fancy ass.#WWX came back but he didn't come back the same. It's rather unsettling how it feels like he's putting on a performance of himself here.

i feel like if binghe was shen yuan’s shizun, they would have to live in the same house by necessity. binghe’s disciple keeps running off into the wilderness with no regard to personal safety; binghe needs to keep an eye on the child, or he’ll get punched by the sect leader and his vicious wife for neglect. the kid’s slippery!!!

meanwhile shen yuan has multiple crises and reaches enlightenment in several matters on his very first day in shizun’s house, which prompts him to run away more. this ends up exacerbating the issue because shizun just floated the idea of tying him to the house in jest and shen yuan very much didn’t know he was capable of such filthy, aberrant thoughts.

Mulan and Legend!! This one was so much fun! I definitely challenged myself with the background, but my favorite scene from the original Disney cartoon was the scene where Mulan's father sits with her on the stone bench beneath the cherry blossoms and encourages her. So, I kinda wanted to honor that in this one!!

I think that Legend would really respect Mulan; not only is she caring, smart, and kind, but she is also super tough and strong and a brave warrior!! She definitely could hold her own as Hero of Courage. So I think that Legend would really listen to her advice and her words of wisdom.

Sooooo I know the LU fandom loves to torture poor Legend, but I wanted to give him a break here 😂 He deserves it for sure!! Also, the pink flowers would perhaps remind him of... someone else, which would be a bittersweet moment for him.

I imagine that in this scene he kinda opens up to her about his own troubles and she encourages him with her own stories of her trials and successes, and how it all worked out in the end!
