It's genuinely disgusting to me how myopic their recommendations are. No wonder we keep getting posts asking for books with good female characters or POC or Queers because the image of fantasy you project is cishet dude mantasy slop where women are rape doll incubators(the more underaged the more "realistic") and poc/queers are more mythical than dragons.

New chapter of Bites coming out most likely later this week and even though the story is fully planned out, the reason it's taking a minute is because I'm doing the classic thing of thinking about too many projects at once. Like, the pendulum of focus won't settle, it's an issue.

I'm writing a long one shot exploring a future where He Tian only reappears a couple weeks at a time while they're stuck in an angsty situationship, it's currently sitting at 20k words but no clue where it'll be when I'm done with it, some parts are still pretty unfinished.

I also have started two fics that make me kick my feet in excitement, one being a long enemies to lovers mafia AU with spying and skyscrapers climbing, the other being a babyfic that I'd love to dive into whenever I have the time.

I might want to add a ZhengYi counterpart to Tangerines too, I'll see where the pendulum takes me.

A gilded letter, written on fire-proof paper has arrived and is addressed to Karliah Grimshaw! 'Dearest Lady Grimshaw, I am Abraxis, the God-King of the Gilded Twilight Empire and I am writing to you in the advent of the eve of a movement myself, and my Empire will be undertaking in the Overworld.

What my engineers have dubbed 'Project: Rising Storm' will soon commence, and while many of us within my Empire are looking forward to the wide-spread destruction this will cause the Overworlders, I am loathe to visit such destruction upon others of the same persuasion as my own with the same goals. Any Nether and End Portals in it's range will also continue their normal function and not be disrupted by the Project.

It is called 'Golden Apple Stew' and you will have the only copy of this recipe that has been made. If you notice any citizens under your care showing a paling of the skin, bone or other type to a shade of purple, administer this immediately.
