okay i think i've got it. instead of running from his role, aang feels like he's failing at his role. no decision he makes is the right decision. the decision to take a break on appa meant that he wasn't there to help the air nomads. the decision to research on kyoshi island brought the fire nation there. the decision to be close to his friends got them stuck in the spirit world. he looks at the ruins of the northern water tribe and says "i did this." everything he does feels like a failure bc of the first failure. so aang has to let go of his past failures so he can start succeeding in the future. his journey isn't learning how to stand his ground, it's how to let go.

Kyoko and Junko are two sides of the same coin, in terms of their Ultimate abilities.

Junko is the Ultimate Analyst, which lets her analyze and learn Talents, sure, but most importantly lets her predict what's going to happen in the future based on the data she has. Trends, people, interactions, relationships - all of that is something she can mentally and easily comb through to accurately guess at what will happen in the next step, two steps, three steps.

Junko's Talent lets her predict the future. Accurately.

Kyoko is the Ultimate Detective, which lets her analyze the past and figure out what happened to get people where they are now. She can look at people and determine their current everything and accurately determine how that grew out of their past everything. She observes to find motives to explain a current murder by gathering details that show what previously happened.

Kyoko's Talent lets her retrace the past. Accurately.

Between the two of them, they can see everything.

I've said this before but the thing about how destiel played out is that pre- and during 15x18 you can buy that Dean believes that him and Cas are best friends, that he just wants to be platonic best-friends-forever with this guy, and spend all sorts of time together and share all his favourite things with him and know that Cas is never very far away. As friends do.

But after 15x18. Dean processes what Cas said to him. That Cas loves him. Is in love with him. And he makes that part of who he is. He decides to be the man that Cas was in love with. That's what his parting line to Chuck was all about. And maybe he still doesn't think in terms of romance, because why would he, why would he torture himself with hypotheticals, Cas died and Cas loved him. And Dean can be that guy. He holds on to Cas' love. It's his. He makes it part of himself.

So then when he sees Cas again. And he’s confronted with what Cas loving him and wanting him means practically. What can he do? What else can he do besides love Cas back? When Cas' love is already part of him? How could he be anything else but in love with the guy?

WIP Wednesday

Thanks for the "early" (by which I mean it was the middle of Wednesday for me but well before WIP Wednesday usually kicks off) tag, @getmehighonmagic, and to @suseagull04 for one at a slightly more expected time 🤣

I feel a little mean for sharing this? I am asking y'all to a) trust me; b) trust the process; c) trust that any stylistic quirks or inconsistencies, both within itself and in comparison to the rest of my back catalogue, are part of the process. I guess that's all I'll say for now 👀

There were a great many things Alex did not enjoy about waking up.  There was the act itself, of course; blinking his eyes open only to be momentarily blinded by the sun pouring in through a crack in the curtains no matter how tightly he shut them the night before. There was the way his dreams slipped away from him as he woke, trailing through his memory like snowflakes, impossible to catch for more than a moment before melting into nothing. There was the immediate caffeine craving his body inflicted upon him, despite it having only been eight or so hours since his evening cup of coffee. Seven hours, perhaps. Certainly at least five, most nights. Though worst of all was the way his phone would light up with notifications—no matter how early he set his alarm, politics was a nonstop calling, all day, every day.   Still. Perhaps if Alex had known how few opportunities he would have left to do so, he could have found it in himself to embrace the sensations of returning to consciousness a little more.

So I got the ending in Theodora where I saved my soul but my memories were erased I didn't cry I swear and she saw Lawrence's ghost or wtvr and made a vow to find him babe he's dead but then I remembered that Theodora had a twin brother so if his lineage continued to present day (2019), is there a chance Theodora could have met her great great great grandnephews/grandnieces? Even if on accident?

Just imagine: she's been walking around a park, and she sees someone who is actually distantly related to her. A small part of her feels drawn to this person without knowing why. At first, she might assume that they were people in her past before she had amnesia, but she talks to them, and they say they've never met her.

Then, for the rest of her life, she hangs onto this interaction, absolutely confused, or at least, until she bumps into someone (a S3 LI or "John") who recognizes her and-

season five of Teen Wolf really is such a fascinating viewing experience. the conclusions that we arrive at throughout the story could and Would make sense, if the groundwork had been even kind of laid properly. but because they bravely opted to Not do that, it just ends up feeling like I'm being mowed down by a semi truck on repeat.
