Ep 10, the first appearance of Mailbox, we get this whole interaction with him and calculator. I know it’s just a gif but you can go look at the ep if you want to hear it. Calculator’s obviously preferring him here, c’mon. He says Mailbox can join and he actually does, it’s not like some one off bit or something. He’s in it for the rest of the show! Plus, there playful banter as complete strangers just screams gay. 

In EP 11, they have even more banter but it’s just so- Idk- Just look at the way they’re looking at each other. Why is Mailbox standing like that??? It has to be to rizz him up. This interaction is badly disguised flirting for all I care. The gif doesn’t bring it across enough, so please listen to the voice acting. 

NOW EP 15 has the parts that really cemented this whole Calbox thing in my head. Calculator’s mail getting shoved in him- the heart coming out of nowhere, not letting the mail go? 🤨 It’s all kinda... But ok maybe I’m reaching. That is until: 

LATER IN THE EP HE’S RIDING SHOTGUN!! Now, idk about you but actively letting him be in the front seat shows favouritism. On top of that, agreeing with his music choice?!? Oh yeah, Calbox is a thing. I’m convinced. 

And if that wasn’t enough, EP 16 has Calculator siding with him again! I don’t care if it’s supposed to be a one off joke, I’m staring 👀

Not only those scenes, but both of them have moments of vulnerability. Calculator with the three to tree monologue and Mailbox with his “I’m lazy because nobody appreciates me” speech later in the ep. There is no way that both of them have one of those on accident. Coincidence doesn’t exist! THEY! ARE! GAY! I rest my case.

In the world when everything is just slightly opposite. Sun and Moon are assholes. Nexus is just New Moon turned good after the tragic accident (Ruin happens) making Solar has to go to get milk.

It's just a normal day at daycare. You know, kids to babysit, enemies to torment. Sun sat on the couch, calculating how much detergent he would need to clean up the dirt and oil that bastard Eclipse left behind.

Nexus shows up with the angel costume maybe they make for the Halloween with little wings and sparkling.

Sun: Nexus , What are you wearing?

New Moon: Sun, I decide to become OME now.

Sun: Ome?

Nexus: It's the opposite of emo and cringe. I have adopted a life of joy and positivity.

Sun takes a deep breath. He throws his cat out of the window and looks at Nexus very seriously. He stutters.

Sun: What?! Just why? Nexus. There is always something happening with you, isn't it?

Nexus: I have elevated my consciousness and hope to be a source of life in this world.

Sun: Where did I go wrong? Did I not give you enough attention? Have back then, I compared you with Old Moon too much?

I'm having angsty thought about Solomon

Warning: spoilers of OM both the OG and NB up to season 2

So in the newest lesson of NB, we know that our (MC's) and Solomon's magic powers are getting weaker, because our connection with our timeline is becoming weaker. And Solomon says at this rate, he wouldn't be able to get us back to the future and he told us to reforge the pacts with the brothers before RAD'S founding ceremony, or we will be stuck in the past forever.

However, I'm thinking, could Solomon be wrong? It's not like he's infallible. His calculation about the power needed to restore the Night Dagger was a miss back in Lesson 38 in the OG.

So he could be wrong again. What if we manage to reforge the 7 pacts just in time during the founding ceremony, but Solomon's calculation is wrong and he has become too weak to send 2 persons back to the future, i.e. he can only send one person back to the future. So he pushes us through the space-time rift before saying "see you in the future" with a loving smile before the rift closes. I mean, he's an immortal, we will meet him again, right?...right?

I recently found out that when mixing colors in digital art, it applies a calculation that reduces the saturation. 😩

I had been painting with the assumption of color mixing directly on the canvas, so this was a huge shock to me. 😰

It feels like I have to let go of everything I learned about color mixing from my analog days when working with digital colors. 😰😰

Sooo. What are we doing about this?

OM is getting discontinued. There is so much content in the apps, I calculated that at the pace of 3 DG per day it'd still take 2 years to get through the original only.

If (when) the games are getting shutdown some day, the deadline will be too short to archive them. I have an extensive archive of the original and participated in archiving other games so it's not new for me and I have resources like manuals (including video editing, file compression or quality), organised datasheets that can be utilised to speed up the process. I also have a big cloud storage specifically for my private archives. What was lacking was help with the work.

Unfortunately, my previous attempts at archiving were mostly lone wolf work and I gave it up due to the lack of support from others.

I've seen other archiving projects, but they didn't last/weren't aiming for full coverage in the first place. I'd revive my own projects but it's way too much for one person to handle and ensure no mess-ups.

it's funny, for me photography is even more of a casual hobby than drawing is, but i get so giddy whenever people like my photos, it's even greater of a compliment :D are you thinking about film or digital?

for film, i use an Olympus OM-2n with a vivitar series 1 28-90mm f2.8-3.5 lens, but that just happens to be the camera body and lens that i was able to pry out of a relative's closet. before that, i used a point-and-shoot, yashica t4 super... i am quite fond of the olympus om-2n as a camera body because it has a nice level of automation; it has an automatic exposure system that calculates a shutter speed based on aperture. it seems like all of the om system cameras have held up well and have a reputation for good quality

for digital, i use a nikon d3400 with the nikkor 50mm 1.8g lens- again, just an entry-level hobbyist dslr, it's never let me down.

i don't know if i can call myself knowledgeable enough to refer to these as recommendations! for film, it's worth asking family and looking around stores in your area that sell used goods... without falling into the trap of buying a "bargain" that'll cost ten times as much to fix

would much appreciate the advice of people who know more about this than i hehe

I have mathematically determined that Clover from Undertale Yellow is roughly thirty quadrillion ninety-six trillion nine hundred sixty-six billion six hundred million times stronger than the actual biblical God from the old testament. Here's how.

First off, I took this map of the Old Testament Universe I got from wikipedia.

Assuming that the sun as depicted is the size of our real world sun, I used it as a measuring stick to determine how big the universe depicted here would be. The Sun, which has a radius 696,000,000 Meters and a total diameter across of 1,392,000,000 Meters, is 20 pixels across. The total distance of the graph end to end is 360 pixels or 25,056,000,000 Meters.

Then, I divided it by the diameter of the known universe, which is 880,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Meters, to determine this map is 35,121,328,200,000,000 times smaller than our known universe. As such, it must take that much less energy to destroy it.

It takes roughly 282,500,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Joules to destroy the known universe bare minimum. Shinjin

Shinjin is a central concept in Shin Buddhism which indicates a state of mind which totally entrusts oneself to Amitabha Buddha's other-power, having utterly abandoned any form of self-effort or calculation. Nembutsu

In Pure Land Buddhism, the practice of nembutsu is believed to lead to rebirth in the Pure Land of Perfect Bliss. Nembutsu can mean "to recite aloud". This practice involves calling the Buddha's name, either orally or mentally. The Japanese phrase for the oral invocation of the Buddha Amitābha is Namu Amida Butsu, which means "Hail to Amitābha Buddha. Nembutsu as meditation is the Japanese term which means to think on or contemplate the Buddha. It has a long history in Buddhism and has been considered the central core of practice to gain enlightenment Sakyamuni Buddha used this practice in order to gain enlightenment.

 

Bombu

Bombu is a Buddhist term that means "ordinary beings" or "ordinary person". It refers to the human condition of being ignorant or unenlightened, as opposed to being awakened or enlightened like Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. In Shin Buddhist philosophy, the recognition of one's bombu nature is a key part of the religious awakening. This recognition occurs when one awakens to the unconditional love and compassion of Amida Buddha, who saves all beings without discrimination. The bombu paradigm is a feature of Pure Land Buddhism that teaches that total reform is impossible in the world of conditions. It also teaches that the effort to achieve perfection can be counterproductive, leading to spiritual pride.

 

May all practitioners of deep mind single-heartedly accept the Buddha's words and hold fast to the Nembutsu practice, even at the risk of their own lives.

He always thought he would be the cowardly, slow, pathetic octopus ever since he could remember. Everyone else in Coral Sea had shimmering fins, beautiful scales. But for him, all he had was tentacles that would scare off or lead to bullying from others. He thought his entire life he would have to fend for himself, find ways to get revenge on those who wronged him but also live with a constant fear of not being perfect. That was until you came into his life

You were on a ship during a storm, a horrible fate that no one expected to see on what seemed like such a nice day. You fell off of the ship and into the sea and struggled to lift yourself up from the darkness of the ocean. Thankfully, Azul had been close by and rescued you. When you woke up, he was ready to dart away, swim as fast as he could away from you so you didn't have to see his hideous body. But all you did was look at him in awe, the same look he probably gave you when he first saw you. Before you could tell him how cool he looked he fled

Throughout his years in NRC, he didn't think he would see you again, that was until you showed up as a transfer student into his dorm. You didn't recognize him because of how much he had changed, let alone you didn't know his name. But whenever you talked about how an amazing person saved you that fateful day, Azul felt his heart skip a beat

You changed the way he felt about himself that day you looked at him with something other than disgust. He felt...proud of himself. He would remind himself about how you looked at him whenever he heard those voices from his head try to take down his esteem over and over again. Oh only if you knew how much you meant to him he would have been with you every minute of your life

For now though, Azul didn't say anything. He chose to try and woo you with his intellect, with the personality that he carefully curated. But when he broke out of that shell, that was when you truly seemed to like him, once again showing him that it's more important to love yourself for who you are.

Most would see Jade and think he's just a scary eel. He didn't look like he had any weaknesses, but you would be wrong. He was extremely fond of nature, especially the mountains. He never had the chance to go exploring until he ran into you. Literally

You were out in the mountains gathering some mushrooms for research when you heard something scary not too far from your location. Reacting on instinct, you ran the opposite direction and that was when you slammed into Jade. It was then that you two ended up running back down and talking about what you two found in the woods. He never met someone who was as enthusiastic about the mountainside as you

The more he got to talk to you, the more he realized he was slowly falling in love with you. It wasn't just similar interests, but you also treated him as something more than the other half of a pair. You treated him with respect, you let him be loose. For that, he was grateful and he was falling hard for you

Azul and Floyd had an inkling that Jade was dozing in and out of work, often having to call his name multiple times to get his attention. Jade tried his best to not let anyone know about his feelings since he thought it could make him look weak, but Floyd soon said it to him in his face. "You like y/n right?"

Jade would have asked for help in asking you out from the other two, but he denied Floyd's accusations and continued to clean the silverware he was in charge of. You changed the usual cold, calculated twin but perhaps it was something Jade wanted to explore

If there was anyone in NRC that all students were afraid of, it would be Floyd. The man was unpredictable, fast, strong, and a pure menace. But instead of being afraid when he approached you, Ace, and Deuce, you stood your ground and looked at him in his eyes. You even agreed to play a bit of tag with the eel, something most people would warn against

Floyd was starting to like you as a playmate, sort of like he had someone to tease or chase every day. But after playing around with you, the two of you would talk and he would learn more about you. Soon, he started to like you for more than your courage but also all of the little things that you did. Floyd was extremely good at spotting small details (when he wanted to that is). The small laugh you would let out when talking about a fond memory, the way your eyes lit up when he greeted you, all made his heart jump a bit

Floyd walked into Azul's office one day, grabbing a seat and setting his feet up on Azul's desk. "Is there something you wanted? And quit acting so casually in here," Azul looked up from his paperwork to the twin. "Yeah, I have a crush on someone, how do I ask them out?"

Azul nearly spit out his tea all over the contracts he was organizing. Floyd was never one to cut corners, but since when did he have a crush on someone? Azul asked about the details but Floyd soon said that he would rather get advice from someone with dating experience and was quickly ushered out of Azul's office. Floyd would have to find ways to ask you out on his own, which would probably be running up to you, hugging you, and then saying to date

Floyd likes people who are brave, who are able to give him excitement in his life. But you were more than that, you seemed to make him feel soft. He viewed you as something more than just someone else to play tag with, and he wanted to confess these feelings to you as soon as possible

Well, I kinda think MC has the potential to be just as destructive as Satan when it comes to displaying their wrath.

At least, in the later seasons of OG and in NB, MC has a lot of magic they can use. It'd be pretty easy for them to just unleash all of that, I think. Easily causing destruction everywhere they go! The brothers wondering why they ever thought Satan was hard to deal with! Imagine if they both get angry at the same time!?!?!

It'd be chaos, in my opinion.

UNLESS you have a quiet angry MC. An MC who is completely at their wits' end but instead of losing their shit, they just shut down instead. This is dangerous, too, because in the end, emotions tend to finally come out, even if you don't want them to. So if we've got an MC who is suppressing their anger, they might end up doing things magically without meaning to. Like someone says something that pisses them off and a nearby light bulb explodes for no reason.

I think it just depends on the MC. Ciaran, for instance, tends to get argumentative. They will go on an unending tirade if nobody interferes. But that's just like surface level, short tempered type of anger. If we're talking about genuinely angry like deeply upset, I think Ciaran would be the type who isolates. Just up and leaves.

If it was me myself, I would just cry lol. That's my response no matter what emotion I'm feeling. Happy? Sad? Angry? Hungry? Yeah, I'm crying about it. It's actually very annoying and I have to say I kinda hate it about myself. BUT ANYWAY. I think the characters would go into panic mode with an MC who cried as a response.

Then you got cold and calculating MC. If you're dealing with that, then they will also keep their anger to themselves. Only because they're using it as fuel for their evil plans! Er I mean... well okay, we're back to villain!MC lol.

I think generic OM MC is too nice to really lose their minds with anger.

How the characters react would likely depend on how MC displayed their anger, what their anger was caused by, and who was directly involved. And also who was nearby at the time. But I think everybody would try to help, though whether or not they actually do help or if they make it worse is up for debate lol.
