In a very cowboy mood these days 🤠 Finally sorting out the details for Gabban´s western/rdr-inspired verse. So far I've decided he's a sicilian med student that's been smuggled/traded to pay off a debt and is currently being held under lock and key. (Literally one ankle chain so he doesn't run off.) Role is to torture (of course), and help with insurance fraud using corpses.

“I’ll get you a fake ID,” Curt says decidedly, shrugging like it’s no big deal. “The summer’s young; can’t spend it ditching you every time I go out to drink.” “You don’t know how to get a fake ID,” John says, more as a plea than a statement. “Yeah, I do,” he argues, and with the older employees Curt hangs out with when he’s working the bar at the hotel, John’s inclined to believe him. “How?” He tries one last time to trip him up anyway, a weak appeal for mercy, but Curt only grins, reaching a hand out to squish John’s cheeks between his thumb and fingers. “Don’t you know? A lady never tells her secrets, John.” So that’s how John ends up tucked away in a small booth in the corner of some pub that looks lost to the sixties, old signage and other vintage memorabilia lining the wooden walls, cheery neon LED graphics adorning the kegs behind the diner–style bar.

Not that anon who sent you the ask about Jotavdol before but my favorite 'fanwork' of them comes from the OVA character designer himself Junichi Hayama. A lot of people repost his art of Avdol lighting Jotaro's cigarette for him, but not a lot of people include his little dialogue exchange to go along with it.

「いつもすまねぇな」

「キミは未成年だろ？」

「細かいこと言ってるとハゲるぜ」

Which I roughly translate as

Jotaro: Sorry about this [not having a lighter]

Avdol: Aren't you too young to smoke?

Jotaro: If you keep worrying about all the details, your hair will fall out.

It's such a warm and affectionate piece of art, I think about it all the time, and I love the way it fits in like a missing scene for the OVA where Avdol also lights his cigarette for him

god i do love that even without seeing the art itself you can just sense the affection and camaraderie between them. at this point my shipping goggles don't even need to be involved, i'm just glad to be here. that kinda dialogue feels super fitting for them, too, especially considering the end of the jail scene where avdol just Stops fighting and sits down all chill because 'hey i only said i'd get you out and i did 😌' – he started them on the path of subtle teasing and now it's jotaro's turn to dish.

posting this rei from the sketchdump by itself too. Fun fact: Lady Snowblood is an old jidaigeki movie that directly inspired Kill Bill! quentin tarantino had the whole cast watch it with him while they were in production.

in this scene (in a fic i'm writing), rei (shou's mom) and toichiro are watching Lady Snowblood together to help her decompress, because it's a cathartic film for her.

I keep thinking about that Schismist Soldier (because he's a meow meow) and in the possible event that we may never see him again I decided to add a PART THREE to his saga to eventually marry i mean defeat the Young Wizard once and for all. So buckle up for this messed up love/hate story.

We start off on his relaxing vacation that he promised everyone he would take after his second defeat at the hands of his One True Nemesis. He needed a break from his obsession i mean his career and all those thoughts about us isn't really good for him now is it??? So he's going to go to whatever the Wizard version is for Peru to take his mind off things! What fun!

But it doesn't work :((( because everything, EVERYTHING reminds him of The Young Wizard. The sheer AUDACITY to haunt his every waking moment, his thoughts and dreams when he was trying to FORGET you!!! He can't even relax when he's thinking about YOU all the time!!! Ugh!!!

So he just says "Alright fuck it I guess" and he decides (for the 80th time) that he's going to get rid of you PERMANENTLY this time, so that he could finally triumph over you and then be free! So he hatches up a plan, see? A genius plan, a plan that will SURELY cause you the most humiliation and agony possible!!!

He is going to enroll. In the very school that you started out as a fledgling. He will apply to study in your primary Magic School and he will quickly climb the ranks, proving to be a BETTER wizard than you ever were!! He'll RUIN your reputation amongst your peers using his dazzling intellect and unmatched skills, and then when the time is right he'll BEAT you at your own game, making you weep and cry in shame and fright before he FINALLY finishes you off!!! IT'S THE PERFECT CRIME!!!!

Que the Schismist Soldier learning the third rank spell of your primary magic school (Storm Shark in my case) and then he just cackles maniacally with crazed eyes before he fucks off into his dorm to bask in his future glory. The people that know him think he's funny and weird. He mutters our name over and over again at lunch and people just think he's a fan. He draws multiple pictures of us and furiously crosses them out with red ink and nobody gives a shit. Let him have his fun I guess

(I like to imagine that he doesn't even unmask himself when he goes undercover as a student of Ravenwood, he just straight up shows in his Schism armor and people think he's cosplaying as someone they've never heard of before. He truly is pathetic and I love him dearly for it)

Karen has four older brothers and this is Ross! He's the second oldest and he looks rather polite and smiles a lot and when he's at work he can behave most of the time... but he really has such a foul mouth it puts Right to shame.

And Karen when she was a kid couldn't pronounce S's and they sounded like Z's. So when her brothers would be leaving for school she would say "enjoy zool" and just. Could NEVER say Ross's name correctly so he told her to just call him Oz. And it stuck but only with Karen. She's the only one to use it and no one else is allowed.

Destino: I still don’t understand how my parents were able to hide a tunnel to the surface. How does that possibly happen? And from me no less.

Hope: Well, you know how some parents say you can’t enter their room? That’s usually because they’re hiding something. In this case, it’s a giant tunnel.

Destino: … Excuse me for one second.

*Destino begins to leave. Would you like to follow them or stay behind to ask Hope questions?*
