"It's not about the taste," she murmured quietly, as if what he'd said was utter nonsense. Not quite willing to speak out or disagree, too unsure of herself and others who seemed incomprehensible. The ingredients in the stew didn't matter, it was the brutality of it all. The way flesh reddened and swelled, blisters popping and skin hardening as nerves sang. Screamed before dying, serving as but a toy towards the ecstasy of murder.

Brightening up with the clear goal and something she actually could answer. Shaky fingers fumbled with her pack, extracting a map pressed carefully between the pages of an empty book she'd been using as a journal. Keeping track of things was difficult enough as it was, and writing it down helped.

"Here, at the edge of the forest. She marked it for me," There was a heart lovingly marked onto the map where they'd find Ethel's teahouse. The old woman had been a flirt, leaving Alya's cheeks burning. "Can we go there first?" We. Already she was including him, familiar in his unfamiliarity. Everyone else seemed content to let her pick and choose where they went next. It was a relief to find someone else to make the final choice.

A question lingered in his thoughts. The feral hound developed into a puppy with eyes that pleaded for a belly scratch. It would take him off guard for a few seconds when she was alongside him, his gaze fixed on her as he listened to her talk. Prioritizing her remarks above others' suggestions—but not in the sense of leadership, but rather of attention. Sure, he elevated the feminine, but he still felt as if he had more power deep within the swamp of thinking.

Names were simple to learn. Playing kind was a norm, despite the fact that he lacked the desire to push it ahead. He wondered whether anyone else was alive—perhaps Cyrillus, who was like a bug and could withstand anything thrown at him despite his foolish behavior. Alya seems to have bombarded him with inquiries, leaving him hungry for the answers.

" Auntie's? She's probably wearing a glamour, you know that, right? I don't typically trust potion makers, but if you insist....If there's any blood shed along the way, I don't mind getting my hands dirty. "

Oh, he knew as soon as he saw the elderly woman. It was written all over her face, smelling like sour milk and growing like mildew. Bad people and things were always the same, and Dhaunafein took delight in being the blackest sheep in the flock. Self-righteousness sprang from the fact that certain things had lost their purity. He wouldn't be shocked if 'Auntie' had the same desire for chaotic devastation as the others.

Flicking back out of his thought process, he'd listen to her next hushed words. He let out a short snicker of delight at the slide of old personality qualities he had always appreciated. " Yeah? " He'd mock the extras, playing around with it whether she realised or not.

Clearly, he was not rejecting her because of her idealistic beliefs. Softer with her, even in his monotone-drenched voice, as if he did not care or did not want to cope with anything.

" Did she give you directions? " Posing a query. He was brilliant at tracing down people and understanding the ins and outs of unfamiliar locales because of his line of work.

Perhaps the only time where you could admire your boyfriend without getting embarrassingly hot in the face was when he was asleep. You weren’t sure how it was possible for someone to be so handsome, but Sunghoon surpassed perfection in many areas, so you had grown to accept it. The first morning light had just started to seep through the window, shining softly over Sunghoon’s face.

And, god, he just looked so pretty. His hair fell over his forehead, eyelids closed, lips slightly parted letting soft breaths out. You were practically hypnotised by him. Usually you weren’t so utterly down bad for him (well, no, you were), but you simply couldn’t take your eyes off of him this morning. 

You silently brushed his hair away from his face, your touch light and gentle so as to not disturb him. The light from the window hit his now exposed forehead and eyebrows, warming up his cool toned skin and taking your breath away. You would never not be in love with him.

Your eyes shifted to his perfect nose, and the little brown mole that dotted the side of his nose bridge. You gave in to the immediate urge to press a gentle kiss to it, despite knowing that the action would probably wake him up. He was bound to wake up sooner or later from the light anyway, and you knew he always liked waking up to your kisses.

Your hand cupped his cheek, a finger softly tracing his jawline and then eyebrow, as if you were memorising his every feature. When you lifted your hand, intent on bringing it back to rest by your side, your wrist was caught midway by Sunghoon’s fingers. Although his eyes were still closed, he guided your hand back to the side of his face, a silent plea for you to continue your gentle touch. 

Instead of opening his eyes, his lip twitched, threatening to lift up into a smile. He tried to suppress it, but he too was struggling with the butterflies that your touch gave him. When it was just you two, he felt like he was floating, heart completely caught in your hold. Just when he thought he was the happiest he ever could be, you proved him wrong.

He gave in, letting the breathless laugh that was fighting to emerge, out, gracing your ears with the sound. When he opened his eyes, he was met with his favourite sight, one that he was sure he would never get tired of. Sunghoon was well aware that he was debilitatingly in love with you, but he faced the feeling with pride. He allowed you to invade his every thought, direct his every decision, and dwell at the very centre of his universe. It was where you belonged. 

There were no words needed between you two. All sentiments were delivered through your eyes, as you both could read each other like it was second nature.

Sunghoon’s ebony eyes sparkled with many messages, the most obvious of which was I love you. After years of dating him, that was one you could never miss. There was rarely a time where you didn’t see it reflected in his irises. It had become a constant for Sunghoon. Loving you was simply a part of his identity. He wasn’t himself without the love that you brought out of him. 

Your fingers danced on his cheek again, committing the feeling of his smooth skin to memory. He had a busy day ahead of him, and you knew you wouldn’t be seeing his face again until the middle of the night, so you took your time, soaking him in for as long as you could. Sunghoon was attentive to this as well, but had something else on his mind regarding how to spend the time he had left with you. He caught your wrist, this time using it to bring you closer to him, your nose almost brushing against his.

“Let me kiss you.” Came his soft request, his voice deep and slightly raspy from sleep. You smiled, meeting his lips immediately. There would never be a time when you would refuse his wish to kiss you. You sighed when he kissed you back, the warmth of his love reaching you from his lips.

You bit his bottom lip gently, making him gasp. His lips parted just enough to allow your tongue past them, the movement causing goosebumps to rise on his skin. His hands slipped to your waist under the covers, circling his thumb over your skin under your pyjama shirt (which just so happened to be one of his old t-shirts). 

Sunghoon knew he would have to break away from you sooner than he wished in order to allow time to get ready for the day. This only urged him to kiss you deeper, drowning in the feeling of you. His tongue circled yours, the dance of lip and tongue feeling as natural as breathing. He knew exactly how you liked to be kissed, years of perfecting his skills ever clearer to you as he pulled you closer.

He wished he could kiss you for eternity. He wished he didn’t have to leave you or the bed. He wished he could call the day off and stay— stay with you for the rest of his life. He was sure he would do that, but not in the way he currently wanted to right now. His work was far too important to miss, as he had several important shoots to attend. He had to cut his losses, no matter how hard it was to leave you for the entire day.

So, he pulled away, although it broke his heart to do it. You let out a quiet whine, knowing that he had to leave soon and dreading it as much as he did. He soothed you with a few quick kisses to your cheek and nose, hand squeezing your hip before he sat up, eyes lingering on your figure under the covers.

He checked the time, panicking slightly when he realized that he may have kissed you for a minute or two longer than he should have. He’d have to cut his shower short. He grabbed the clothes he had picked out the night before and rushed to the bathroom, giving you a quick smile as he closed the door. You heard the shower run for no longer than 3 minutes, and the hurried movements of him brushing his teeth and changing. 

He emerged exactly 6 minutes later, grabbing his bag and blowing you a kiss before he left. You sighed, eyes focused on a random spot on the ceiling. The taste of Sunghoon’s lips lingered on yours, making you smile slightly. You already missed him, and it hadn’t been a minute since he left. You were so down bad for him.

You rolled over to his side of the bed, squishing your face into his pillow (which smelled just like him) and falling back asleep.

Sanemi is ALWAYS the one cooking

I’m sorry but I can only see Giyuu fucking up scrambled eggs or something. Sanemi cooks (or bakes) like a professional

Giyuu having a bedhead (he’s adorable) and Sanemi waking him up by either:

throwing a pillow on his face

running his hands through his hair and a “good morning, shithead”

One or the other, no in betweens

Sanemi usually does the chores like laundry, cooking, etc (malewife<33)

Giyuu can do things if given clear instructions tho

Hmm showering together just as a habit

If either of them were mad at the other (or they js fought) before bed, they’ll probably distance themself on the futon

When they wake up they’re always cuddling though

ouugh yes they share a bed

(it was so awkward at first like “ok… i’ll have this side” but then they got comfy and steal each other’s pillows (so romantic smh))

Sanemi definitely holds a longer grudge

Giyuu gets upset if he gets ignore too long, though, and Sanemi eventually caves

Why do I feel like Sanemi would just take pictures or videos of Giyuu randomly

When he’s asleep, when he’s just woken up, when he’s eating, doesn’t matter

Because Sanemi’s in charge of meals usually, Giyuu only gets salmon daikon once a week (which is already a lot as is, but he begs Sanemi for it so…)

Sanemi used to braid/put up his siblings hair a lot and when the two are cuddling, sometimes he makes little braids in Giyuu’s hair, or pulls it up in a high ponytail (often Giyuu wakes up with braids and his hair gets a lil wavy when he takes it out later)

Giyuu’s the baby in the relationship you cant change my mind. He’s the little spoon; he’s being carried because he’s tired; he’s given breakfast in bed.

Sanemi honestly doesn’t mind (he’s used to this) but likes teasing Giyuu about it

Giyuu has a bow of Tsutako’s (he stole a spare) and wears it to formal places always. (job interview? bow. prom? bow. work? bow.)

Sometimes Giyuu helps Sanemi hang up the laundry but they somehow end up hugging always (Giyuu goes on the other side of the clothing line and ThEIr lEgS juST mOVed By THemSElf)

On weekends, when there’s nothing to do, Sanemi will just scroll through his phone and Giyuu watching TV

Giyuu can NEVER not fall asleep during a movie though. depends on the day but he’ll either fall asleep 20 mins in or half way through

Sanemi doesn’t really watch movies and just slowly turns down the volume then off to not startle him awake

I can see Sanemi just volunteering to babysit for their friends (for free<3) and just having a box full of children’s toys for when they come over

Giyuu once overfed a baby to near sickness (“I thought her grabby hands were for more :(“ - “YOU IDIOT, SHE WAS TRYING TO PUSH AWAY THE BOTTLE!!”) and was thereafter forbidden to care for the children (unless they were older than, like, 12)

After a stressful day at work, Giyuu likes flopping down on the couch and having Sanemi run his hands through his hair and hum a bit, maybe small talk

I think Giyuu is actually an open book and horrible at hiding his emotions (like canonically as a child he was like that, only the deaths changed him sooo) whilst Sanemi is better at hiding things

But like after years of living with Sanemi/js being with him, Giyuu has been able to see small telltales

When he’s lying, Sanemi’s eyes flick every so slightly away (so subtly that only a few have caught it before), when he’s upset, he’s a little clingier or his voice is calmer (though many people interpret it as tiredness), when he’s angry but trying to stay calm he’ll probably have a lot of clenched fists (his hand opening and closing x100) but behind his back haha

Why can I see them both as dry texters tho.

Giyuu tries to sound more upbeat by adding emojis/emoticons but overall it’s basically just “Ok 😁👍❤️😋😚✨����🎉🎊🎏🍩🔥” // 😭 yeah he doesn’t have a lot of people to text…

I can also see Sanemi being a little old fashioned in a way, idk… He knows perfectly fine how to use a phone and shit but for some time mostly sent letters (except for casual/small talk ofc)

• sam lets josh do her hair every once in awhile!! it’s mostly braids because he finds the process relaxing and he can just admire sam while doing it…so sappy josh hehe…normally it comes loose after an hour or so because well i never said he was good just that he enjoys it…he thinks she’s looks SO adorable with them though. josh tends to call her anna (from frozen) and it annoys her a bit bc it’s not even the right hair color 😒 he knows though teehee.

• they do NOT mess around when it comes to overcooked. they are the absolute power couple in games despite the times they bicker or poke fun at each others skill or mess around they work so well together. half the time neither of them even has to say more than a word because they’ve played together so much. when it’s just them they play great but if other people join it falls apart…sam tries to keep everyone calm and not yelling at each other while josh is messing around behind her back and throwing food away to get everyone more riled up hehe

• sam and josh own an off-roader and you best bet those two love going up into the mountain. well sam moreso than josh but he comes along! he usually trails behind her since he feels more comfortable that way, sam likes to lead things a lot more when it comes to nature. josh brings his camera and takes about 500 million photos of the trees and sam and then prints them out later to hang up around his room…sam makes SURE she brings proper snacks and hydration too. that’s always her main rule: be prepared. they venture out more when it’s warmer though just because josh prefers that..

• josh still loves pranking her. obviously not to the extent of the game but little things. like moving the stuff on her desk off ever so slightly or hiding fake spiders in the cupboards and laughing when she gets scared opening them…there’s always a new thing each day. he likes really bad ones too like prank calling her pretending to be a 10 year old and asking “is your fridge running” and she’s like “josh i know that’s you i can hear you in the other room. and this is your phone number” and he starts giggling but still goes on with the joke LMFAOO it’s so painfully unfunny he loves it..he can’t get enough

• they LOVE making sweets for each other. if sam is having a really bad day josh will whip up some lemon cupcakes for her (it’s her favorite) and vice versa sam will bake some banana bread for him (guess what. ITS HIS FAVORITE!!!). they stock up on a shit tom of baking goods for that reason whenever they run out of flour or sugar it is an absolute EMERGENCY!!!!!!! CRITICAL ALERT!!!!!!!! that rarely ever happens though unless either one of them bakes something for the crew and misjudges how much they used…

• josh is just a little addicted to caffeine while sam doesn’t really drink it..she’s much more of a water drinker (just like me fr) and knows too much is bad but joshy boy doesn’t listen smh…he goes to tim hortons every morning and afternoon and orders the same exact medium coffee with 1 creamer & sugar, with 2 pumps of caramel syrup. every. morning. sometimes he’ll grab sam a donut if he’s feeling nice hehe..regardless sam is always telling him how it’s not good and that he should have more water but he’s like “ehhhhhh ill be good”
