Something about bsd abilities and trauma and also literature as escapism to face reality better. Something about Atsushi's fantasy being all about strength and self healing and a rampaging "beast beneath the moonlight" when reality forces him to rely on others to heal and emphasizes his empathy and "weakness." Something about Dazai's escapist fantasy and character trope as something "no longer human" when he actually is very much human. Something about Yosano's fantasy being a world where "thou shalt not die" when reality keeps making her face death. Something about Kunikida's desires to be a "lone poet" against the world with just him and his ideals realised when reality is full of people he can't abandon. Or Kenji escaping into a world where he is "undefeated by the rain" and putting his entire soul into living that dream out. Or Akutagawa being (philosophically) consumed by his "rashoumon" when reality shows he doesn't always have to devour and overtake....

while I get commissions done, I’m going to throw some things into my queue and schedule a couple posts since I made a lot of text posts recently and I want to brighten the place up with art. do you guys want to see more Robin Hood/Medieval adjacent stuff, or perhaps. some video games fan art. I got Death Mark, Honkai Star Rail, and Thief fan art I can feed into the queue machine. Assassins Creed as well! tbh if it’s a video game I did fan art of before, I probably have more of it somewhere. there’s even js&mn in the vault! however. it got. very scribbly.

so the most recent post from you reminded me- you're not a zosan fan (neither am I tbh) so what DO you support for sanji (in terms of ships or HCs)

I had to sit on this for a bit since I got home but I do have a few ride or dies so we can start there.

SanUso numero um campeao del mundo!! I love love love sanuso so much.... they have a number of really good scenes together and I'm so tired or I'd try and pull them up but off the top of my head in Water 7 when Sanji worries about if Usopp will come back, and earlier in the arc with Enies Lobby calling Usopp their sniper and getting very excited to see him back...

If Oda wasn't a coward post ts or at least post wci Sanji would be fat. Fatness and weight gain as healing is so important and thematically fits for Sanji as a character especially with all of his backstory but alas.

In terms of gender/sexuality I'm pretty fluid on what I headcanon for him. As long as it makes sense for the scenario I don't care all that much. I know bisexual is really common as a hc for him which is great! I also see him as tentatively genderfluid but I don't think he really knows how to articulate it. Probably with weird food and cooking metaphors.

And the last thing I'm going to say because I'm me and its impossible for me to talk about anything without mentioning Enstars but I think he and Niki share similar worldviews when it comes to food, especially when it comes to feeding the needy, what with Sanji giving Gin the food in Baratie despite being enemies and Niki taking in a strange teenage Rinne he found on the street because he looked hungry and both Gin and Rinne feel indebted to their chefs and saviors. I would love to see a One Piece and Ensemble Stars collab with them specifically someday and not just because they're my favorites from each franchise....

I spent a long time in hospital a short while ago for intense pain which is frequent for me. I was given very strong painkillers. Fentanyl and morphine. I was given even more morphine to take home so I could continue easing my pain. From a solid hospital, fully staffed and stocked with medication, to a warm and dry home with a soft bed to lay in.

All I could think about is how greatly someone in my position would suffer without those things. If their hospitals were destroyed and their medication was horrifically expensive, if it even existed. If they could not rely on going home to a safe bed. If they couldn't rest without wondering if it would be the last time they did.

Today I've donated 50 usd and 50 euros across a few campaigns (whichever they were asking for). It probably isn't the "wise" decision for me. I will need to explain to people why I cannot pay them right now and ask for leniency. But I know I will have a roof over my head, food to eat, and pain relief to keep me comfortable. I am grateful that even in my position I can still give to those in need because I am not threatened by such horrors for doing so.

The hardest part of trying to turn your creative passions into a thing that pays the bills is not worrying if people will hate it.

It's worrying if they will care, and if they do...will it be enough to put money down. Will you be comfortable asking them to?

Unless you 'get lucky' and someone with influence and a massive following happens to see what you're doing and draw attention to you. Or you are someone with a massive following already...

You're unlikely to see much in the way of numbers. Even with a publishing company doing much of the heavy lifting, it takes more than screaming from the rooftops and inundating websites with ads for people to care.

They need their friends to care. They need someone they trust to tell them to look at this thing. Or enough strangers looking at it that they feel left out.

This isn't doom-saying here, this is my attempt to make you appreciate the people who do care. Who do buy your things, leave reviews, comments, tell their friends about how awesome they think what your doing is.

It is hard to put yourself out there, more so to do it alone. The constant focus on bigger and bigger numbers isn't helping anyone. Yes, there are bills to pay, and yes you will need to do something else to pay them because creative mediums rarely do.

But if you hope to keep loving it, to not fall into the money pit of despair:

You need to love your fans too, whether you have one or one million.

i watched a compilation of other youtubers complaining about DnP, and when the complaints weren't just "the phandom is annoying," they boiled down to:

DnP are both nice but are aloof/weird/insert other trait that makes talking to them at gatherings difficult.

Phil is nice but Dan's a Bitch who Doesn't Let Phil Talk To Other People (which... Phil is a grown ass man but okay. Maybe he just doesn't want to talk to you but whatever, sure.)

DnP are nice but they queerbait (ig now they're the ultimate queerbaiters since they own a house together lmfao)

DnP are nice but Phil is nicer and Dan is hotter (which,,, I honestly don't know why these clips were included but I'm going to take it as "They're both nice but Dan is more aloof" which is funny because that's a character trait he's said he has for years and as a fellow aloof bitch its very funny to me when people complain about it lmfaooooo)

I'm ngl, the amount of people who were in the compilation just because of the Phandom, or who's complaints boiled down to "DnP are both very nice but very awkward/aloof/stick to themselves" makes me think that they're generally nice and other people just don't understand that not everyone likes talking all the time lmfao

i am undoubtably a pleasure sub(/dom in rare occasions). i barely even like being touched that much. i am just wholly consumed with the idea of getting someone else off and if doing that means getting touched then any pleasure derived from that is incidental (and nothing in comparison to the fulfillment of someone else getting off on me).

okay, but i need to know how the rf1 and frontier divide works with the time loop theory

Honesty here; my thoughts on the Time Loop usually go from rf1 -> rf2, especially with various headcanons of mine that I would be using [Prime example being this blog supports a 'rf2 Kyle is the son of rf1's Lynette', which makes a 'bad ending' Sechs victory in 1 suddenly open up with a million game 2 possibilities- Antagonist Kyle!]

HOWEVER.

Given how there are a couple different thought paths with 1, Frontier, and the rest of the universe, the Time Loop setup I've made could be super fun? For example;

"Rune Factory ends, Raguna unmarried, and we roll right into Frontier." This seems to be what I think is implied!

"Rune Factory ends, something happens and forces Frontier to happen." My personal choice is to see it this way; the move was not voluntary.

"RF1 and Frontier are the same characters but separate." I've toyed with this before, with how the game barely touches on old things, with how we have to re-meet Mist, Rosetta, Lara, etc- and, well. Given that it's a GAME, made by a company, for a then-new console, it makes sense that the scene is standalone. Which means, one can consider it the story, and rf1 a different starting story.

I could see that Time Loop setup causing all 3 of those to be true, in different versions. 1, we chase Raguna right into Trampoli; 2, we have a brand new Anime Dead Wife opportunity; 3, we keep him out of Kardia altogether, what happens then?

Now that you HAVE me thinking as I type, though...

Given how Frontier, rf3 and rf4 talk so much about the depleting rune energy in the entire damn world, how you are punished so heavily for ignoring that balance in Frontier if you ignore the Runeys.... I think it could be very fun to imagine that Frontier events have to happen.

Stopping the extra depletion of rune energy could give extra time for Aquaticus to work on his area's problem, and also buy Venti a few more years to live as the 4 events are put into place..

Which also leaves some wonderful open doors for "Raguna had to live on the run" theories I've seen (esp from friends of mine) that come from the Ethelberd violence that ramps up between 1 and 4. Earthmates being hunted down and whatnot. Raguna was already chased from Kardia, and Trampoli isn't exactly a fort of safety, especially when Empire eyes have already discovered it... A super tiny town he'd rather have be safe...

So. Maybe Frontier has to be a "Fixed Point" in the universe (NOTE; I don't watch Doctor Who, but I've always recalled that term as it is so useful). We need it to happen. And maybe that means accidentally erasing family happiness from 1 in order to for sure chase the boy into Frontier!

All this being fun speculation, of course, and thank you for the chance to think about it!! As I genuinely had not factored in that game into my thinking!!
