I’ve really been getting into the magical girl genre lately. Idk why, but there’s something satisfying about seeing a scary evil villain getting beat up by a 16 year old girl in a glittery dress.

You know what would be the funniest way for a fantasy show to have one of their characters come out? Those evil mermaid/siren storylines. Let me explain:

Mermaids/sirens use their voice (and utter hotness) to lure sailors to their death. Now it’s debated on whether or not this works on women so a lot of people believe that you’d have to be attracted to whatever gender the mermaid/siren is portraying in order to be under their spell.

Now imagine that your main characters are traveling on a ship and they come across these mermaid infested waters, and they obviously start with their siren songs .The female characters are like “It’s ok lol they can’t put us under their spe-“ then suddenly Jessica the elf swan dives into the water.

Everyone is covering their ears besides Bob the Gnome (who is Aro/ace) and the mermaids are PISSED.

I was talking with my friends about Stella from Helluvaboss and I thought I’d be really funny if one of the characters called her a homophobe and she get REALLY offended like: “HOW DARE YOU I HATE YOU BECAUSE I’M CLASSIST NOT HOMOPHOBIC THERES A DIFFERENCE!!!” Then proceeds to be the fiercest ally imaginable. Kinda like the “I may be a villain but I’m not a monster” trope lol.
