Random thought: Do you think the team at Bankova makes sure Ze hears all the songs that mention him?
Thinking of the one that goes "Вова, їбаш їх блять"
What a banger😂

I'm going stargazing in the mountains (meteor shower) at about 1 am, for a few hours. About 30 minutes from home.
Am I still taking my Ukraine survival gear? You betcha.

Trying to do a wellfare check on a friend in Ukraine after receiving worrying news. Like, not the obvious war-news. But personal worrying news. I don't know what to think.

If anyone was wondering, I was 2/3 high when I wrote this.
...but I might just stand by it.
New theory...
What if the law 12414 outrage was PART OF THE PLAN?
Hear me out:
The Goal:
1) To implement stricter requirements in NABU AND SAPO to get rid of ruzzian influence, without protest.
BUT there were actually TWO laws lined up: One that was sure to outrage people, aka law 12414. And one that is the one we have as of tonight.
The first one went public first; the other one remained secret.
Then, the public outcry "forces" the administration to offer something else. Ergo, the second lined up law.
It's less striping of independence, yet still requires serious adjustments to monitor ruzzian influence. Like regular lie detector tests. The ethics of lie detector tests —while admitted in most courts— is still an issue. Many people consider lie detectors to be an invasion of privacy.
But compared to "gutting" the complete independence of an anti-corruption department—which was inadmissible/didn't sit well with Ukrainians, to whom the word "independence" means so much more since 1991, 2014, and 2022— a "mere" lie detector test is a breeze.
It was a Door-in-the-Face Technique!!
Freaking brilliant.
And bonus goal:
2) To prove again to the world, the allies, that Ukraine is a democracy. The president listened to the citizens after they exercised their freedom of speech and opinion; the president gave the issue just enough time for credibility, then "quickly came up" with a new solution.
If this is the case: BRAVO, BRAVA, AND RESPECT.
