I would love to see Buck going to Tommy's house for something and sitting on his couch and just looking very uncomfortable. Like visibly uncomfortable. Just knowing Tommy's great and all, but his couch is not Buck's perfect couch, you know? But you know who has a super comfortable couch? A couch you could fall asleep on? You got it! Eddie. So yeah. Random thoughts.

⭕🎲
Porygon is a species of Pokémon made by Silph Co. decades in the past. This is an irrefutable fact, and Silph is quick to quash rumors otherwise. Every Porygon comes embedded with copy protection, after all!
The Porygon roaming in the wild MUST be released from trainers.
The depictions of Porygon from the ancient north MUST be fabricated.
No one can know the truth.

Small town murder mystery where it eventually turns out that literally everyone in town is a member of some secret society or sinister cult – except it's not one big secret society, it's a bunch of little ones, ranging from as many as a couple dozen members to as few as three. Each secret society is aware of their own immediate allies and rivals, but none of them have the complete picture of how extensive the town's secret society problem is, nor do they know that every single resident is a member of at least one. Some residents are members of multiple secret societies. Some residents are unwittingly members of multiple secret societies, having mistakenly concluded that Secret Society A is Secret Society B's hidden inner circle, when in fact they're unrelated. There's at least one pair of secret societies whose leaders each believe that the other is a false front that they set up to distract their enemies. This goes on for five seasons.

Y'all I am hooked on this story!!
Essentially one woman had a massive influence on HOW soy sauce is fermented and distributed, back in WWII. But there is very little trace/proof that she ever truely existed and had this influence. Like no official documents or records. Inneskeeper is on a mission to find out if she does exist and if she was really this influential.
And let me just tell you, there seems to be some conspiracy level bs going on here. And I am here for it!!
Goodluck Inneskeeper! Can't wait to see where the search takes you next.
I am now having to follow two entirely distinct leads at once. Appleton may actually exist because there's at least one contemporary news article referencing her by name and working for the GHQ. But the alleged photograph of Appleton also has Toshihiro Shoda, an heir to a major brewery, standing next to her.
Shoda Shoyu was set to inherit Kikkoman company assets in a trustbusting investigation which found Kikkoman and four other major brewery corporations guilty of price fixing. There's also a growing pile of evidence of major dissension intracompany at Kikkoman during this period of rapid expansion into American markets during postwar, at which point the clan leader of Kikkoman family interests got involved with the U.S. Supreme Court. I can't say for certain but there might very well be illegal aspects/involvement with organized crime in this story at its root.
I'm a fucking fashion design major. Why is this happening to me. No I'm not going to stop until I get to the bottom of this, but still.

So there's this Flat Earther who said he was traveling to the Ice Wall last September to prove the Earth was flat. He has not posted since.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here are some theories on his current whereabouts:
He fell off
Too busy partying on the continent of Geminia to post anymore
He discovered a second, bigger ice wall
He died alone in the frigid wastes of Antarctica, aware at last of his folly as he slowly, painfully expired, his body never again to be seen by human eyes
Here be dragons (they ate him)

The second you start talking about some mysterious "they" that are controlling society in some fashion, you are engaging in dangerous conspiratorial thinking even if you're being woke about it. "They" did not institute the 40 hour work week specifically so you would be too tired to revolt. "They" did not invent the sleek minimalist aesthetic in order to crush the spirit of art in the common people. "They" are not pushing mediocre media into the mainstream in order to poison people's critical thinking skills.
Your best case scenario after that is you talk to someone who actually knows what the fuck they're talking about and you get embarrassed because you can't answer basic questions about your own ideology because you never learned anything past "the ruling class/capitalists/politicians are making things bad and if we got rid of them the bad things would all go away!"
Your worst case scenario is obviously the woo-to-fascist pipeline and you end up believing Jews are poisoning American food supplies with GMOs in order to turn us all into beta cucks, so like . . . maybe just stop blaming "them" before you fall down that route.
Obligatory round of disclaimers: Yes, sometimes people do bad things. Be specific about exactly who is doing what instead of ascribing it to some vague group of shadowy elites. Yes, sometimes things in society are bad. Learn to identify the root causes of complex social issues instead of assuming that they're actually extremely simple to fix and we're just not doing it because of some vague group of shadowy elites. Yes, minimalism isn't for everyone. Learn that some people don't share your tastes and get the fuck over it for the love of god.

Something unremittingly bleak about a goddamn country starting "crisis actor" conspiracy theories to deny their crimes. A term invented to deny the deaths of children at Sandy Hook in 2012 is now used to deny the deaths of children in Gaza in 2023.
As the community note says, this isn't a crisis actor. This is a guy who posts on Instagram. A influencer who posts videos online of breaking events...is seen at a lot of breaking events. To Israel, this is a sign of a conspiracy. In fact, some of those images aren't even him, or aren't even related to Palestine at all; one image included in other posts targeting Saleh Aljafarawi is a Halloween costume from Thailand. That article says "pro-Israeli accounts" tweeted this, but it's the literal, official Twitter account of Israel posting this shit, next to their comedy sketches that somehow make trans people the punchline bc fascists only have one joke the whole world wide I guess
Like. It's not new for a government to deny the reality of its atrocities. It is new for that government to outright use a conspiracy theory term devised by Alex fucking Jones, or to, when called on doing so, defend it as a "meme" (also bizarre to see hardcore Zionists use a term crafted for especially antisemitic conspiracy theories). Everything rancid about the world in 2023 congealed into a single tweet, right here
