Although it might seems counter intuitive to look away from the floor in this balance posture, looking straight ahead or up is one little trick to keep balance in ardhachandrasana. I’ve been drawn to #Navasana lately. With the legs straight, the abdominals and hip flexors have to fight against the hamstrings to maintain the posture and balance on the tail bone. In Hindu mythology; Manu carried the sacred Vedas, plants, animals and the Seven primal Sages in a boat through the waters of #pralaya and found refuge atop Mount Meru! . There are references of the boat in Ramayana (Lord Rama travels across the river to his exile in the forest). . In the Mahabharata: the fisherwoman satyavati ferries sage Prasara across the river in the boat. . Lord Krishna evokes romance by riding in a boat under the moon. .
