What is Do Easy

William S. Burroughs' (aka Uncle Bill)"Do Easy" philosophy is a concept centered around approaching tasks and existing every day in a way that promotes a relaxed, deliberate mindset. It emphasizes efficiency and effectiveness through mindful action.

The core principle of "Do Easy" is to perform any activity in the most relaxed and effortless way possible. This doesn't equate to laziness, but rather a conscious effort to avoid unnecessary exertion or force. By minimizing wasted energy and streamlining movements, Burroughs suggests that one can achieve more with less effort. By focusing on deliberate, controlled and fluid movements and avoiding jerky motions, one can find the most efficient way to complete the task. This focus on mindful action can then be extended to all aspects of life.

Do Easy also emphasizes the importance of awareness. By being present in the moment and considering the weight, shape, and function of objects, one can determine the precise movements necessary to handle them effectively. This heightened awareness allows for smoother and more efficient actions in all areas of your life.

Ultimately, Do Easy is a Zen like philosophy, a blueprint for a deliberate, present, aware, and less mentally/existentially stressful way to live on the day-to-day.

In folklore, the witching hour is a time of night that is associated with supernatural events, where witches, demons and ...puppies? appear at their most powerful.

I made this comic a few months back when Georgie would unleash total chaos between 8:30-9:30 pm EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. 😩 It felt like a countdown to madness! Thankfully, we've survived that phase, and things are finally mellowing out. He’s still a piece of work, but it DOES get better!

🎃 𝗔 𝗵𝗼𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 🎃

Saturday night, and she was aflame with desire. A wild Scottish girl, craving chaos. Her fix: a night of revelry, her favorite club, alchol and cocaine, one club after another until she'd fade in Manchester's alleys. A ritual, every Saturday.

But this Saturday was different. At 3 AM, before an enormous kebab sandwich, she met a tall Englishman, dark and enigmatic. "What's your hidden desire?" he whispered. Mumbling, intoxicated, she confessed, "To live every day like this Saturday night! No more miserable jobs, no more shitty problems, just bloody fun!"

In response, he cryptically whispered, "So it shall be."

Morning broke, and she awoke, knowing the dread of Sunday work loomed. The weight of her bills and responsibilities pressed down, forcing her into the reality she couldn't escape. But when she ventured outside, the sky was swathed in unnatural darkness, and the people around her seemed eerie, like apparitions. Her phone rang, and a friend's voice crackled through, "Aren't you coming to the club?" Confusion gripped her as she checked her calendar - it was Saturday again, but how could it be? The next morning, same story again. Desperate, she resigned herself to the loop, repeating the same night, over and over for weeks, maybe months. The hangovers grew stronger, the days darker.

One day she resisted the pull of the club, drugs, and alcohol, attempting to explore the city. But something was undeniably wrong. The world outside led back to the cursed club, swallowed by a pitch-black void, erasing the rest of the city. Driven to madness, she stumbled upon a desolate hill, overlooking the surreal spectacle below. Thousands of small lights glimmered as people repeated their actions in an endless, nightmarish loop. They were like caged animals, bound to their insatiable desires.

With a quiver in her voice, she asked, "What in God's name is happening?"

From behind, the haunting figure of the Englishman materialized, whispering, "You perished in those frigid streets that night, consumed by the unforgiving cold. Here, we don't punish people as they say; we fulfill their deepest desires. They are the architects of their own torment. Welcome to Hell, my dear."

What is Gnosis?

gnosis is an altered state of consciousness that allows you to bypass the limitations of your rational mind and tap into the raw power of your will to achieve a desired outcome. It's a state of focused concentration where all your attention is narrowed down to a single point, shutting out distractions and amplifying your intention. Chaos magicians view this state as essential for working magick because it allows us to bridge the gap between will and results. We of course employ various techniques (potentially limitless in number) to achieve this state.

Sensory deprivation is a method where one deprives the senses of external stimuli to achieve a state of deep focus. This can involve practices as simple as spending time in a darkened room while wearing a blindfold and using earplugs, or as deep as you want to take it. As all distractions fade, your inner world becomes amplified, creating a space for gnosis to emerge.

Emotional Ecstasy is a technique that creates a heightened emotional state through activities like drumming or dancing. This intense emotional energy can act as a gateway to gnosis.

Inhibitory gnosis is a technique that involves entering a meditative state akin to a trance. Utilize slow, rhythmic breathing and progressive muscle relaxation to quiet the mind and body. Techniques like self-hypnosis and visualization can also be employed. In this deeply relaxed state, you become more receptive to gnosis.

Indifferent Vacuity is a method that involves performing a magickal working in a detached, almost nonchalant manner. The idea is to minimize the focus on the desired outcome itself, allowing the subconscious mind to take the lead and move into to gnosis. This generally requires one to be experienced and proficient with performing said ritual.

Approaching gnosis with a trickster mentality. Employ absurdity or silliness to disrupt your usual patterns of thought and open yourself to the unexpected. This can lead to a state of gnosis by breaking down rigid mental barriers.

Examples of a few more complex methods involve achieving gnosis via channeling a servitor's experiences, or via lucid dreaming in tandem with Dream Incubation techniques.

I would go so far as to say it’s a necessary study and essential skill when it comes to being a practicing occultist/witch/chaos magician/ceremonial magician et el

For context, a practicing occultist is one who has taken their work beyond study and into performing the acts themselves.
