Is it weird to think about what someone will feel about you when you're dead?

Yesterday was our former prime minister, Rajiv Gandhi's 74th birth anniversary. He hailed from a formidable family, the Nehru-Gandhis, which has produced 3 prime ministers till date, and which India owes a lot of her development to. Rajiv Gandhi is famous for revolutionizing the it section and telecommunications in India, making education more easily accessible and available to the masses and lowering the minimum age for voting from 21 to 18. He was assassinated in May 1991, at the age of 46, by a suicide bomber that killed at least 14 other, and was a part of the Sri Lankan separatist group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. At that time, India had just her involvement, through the Indian peace keeping force, with the Sri Lankan civil war.

1st picture: This is one of the most celebrated freedom fighters of all time, who opposed Gandhi's ideology by choosing the method of armed resistance against the British, but was the first person to call him the 'Father of the Nation'. A young Shubhash Chandra Bose
2nd picture: As I have highlighted before, even after having opposing ideologies, Bose and Gandhi had tremendous respect for each other. Bose was even the Indian National Congress president for a while. In this picture, they are seen sharing a light moment with each other.
3rd picture: This is the last picture of Bhagat Singh, who was executed at the mere age of 23. He was involved in two major plots against the British. He, and his two comrades had requested a death by firing squad, but their request was unheard. Walking to the gallows, he sang out "Dil se niklegi na marker bhi watan ki ulfat / Meri mittee se bhi Khushbue watan aegi" ("When we are dead there would be still patriotism left in us / Even my corpse will emit the fragrance of my motherland")
4th picture: Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi needs no introduction, the little girl sitting beside him however, is unrecognisable as the future prime minister, the iron lady of India. Smt. Indira Gandhi.
5th picture: Famously called the nightingale of India, Sarojini Naidu, one of the most important freedom fighters, and advocates for women's rights, with Gandhi.
6th picture: Rabindranath Tagore, perhaps the most celebrated author, poet and playwright of India, performing in his own play.
7th picture: Rabindranath Tagore with Helen Keller

This doesn't have anything to do with dark academia, but this woman is badass and her life and story very relevant to the era I'm obsessed with. This is Phoolan Devi.
Phoolan endured extreme poverty, caste based discrimination, child marriage and marital rape when she was just a teenager. Unable to beat her suffering any longer, she ran away from her home and joined a gang of bandits. She was the only woman in that gang, and her relationship with one gang member, coupled with caste difference, caused a gunfight between gang members. The members abducted her, and raped her for weeks. After escaping, Phoolan rejoined the remnants of her dead lover's faction and continued with banditry. A few months later, her new gang descended upon the village of Behmai to exact revenge for what she had suffered. As many as twenty-two men belonging to that village were shot dead by Phoolan's gang.
Phoolan evaded capture for two years after the massacre before she and her few surviving gang-members surrendered to the police in 1983. She was charged with 48 crimes, including multiple murders, plunder, arson and kidnapping for ransom. Phoolan spent the next eleven years in jail, as the various charges against her were tried in court. Her act of revenge was portrayed by the press as an act of righteous rebellion. The respectful sobriquet 'Devi' meaning 'Goddess' was conferred upon her by the media and public at this point.
In 1994, the state government of the Samajwadi Party summarily withdrew all charges against her and Phoolan was released. She then stood for election to parliament as a candidate of the Samajwadi Party and was twice elected to the Lok Sabha as the Member of Parliament for Mirzapur.

Conversation
Camille: Come on. You know he's using you!
Cheri: Then what are you doing?
Camille: That's different. I never claimed to love you. Our relationship, is mutually beneficial. You give me a platform to clear my reputation, and I get you views. Logan, on the other hand, just profits off of your success without bringing anything to the table.
Cheri: He does.
Camille: Profit off of your success?
Cheri: No. Bring something to the table. Love. Emotional support. When I'm distraught over the fact that my own sister even talks to me for her own gain, he comforts me, makes me smile. And I already get views. You are the one that has been cancelled, that does not get any brand deals or endorsements. You, are at my mercy. And it's adorable that you think that you can possibly manipulate me.
