Challenge Word Day 7: FALL Sometimes you have to FALL back and Smile. With so much trauma and negativity going on in the world today and even in our own personal lives, it’s ok to just share a Smile. Fall back from things that cause you grief. Fall back from things that draw your life two steps backwards instead of forward. Fall back from the table if weight and health are issues. Fall back from people that have proven to drive in a different direction than you are striving to go. Fall back from situations that drain your energy. My Challenge Word for Day 4 was: FOLLOW I searched and searched for something that spoke to my soul and it wasn’t until I captured this photo. Music is the rhythm of my beat! It speaks to me like no other and I FOLLOW where it leads. God has allowed me the opportunity to use music as an escape. When I don’t follow it...it follows me! It’s how I made it through school. It’s my favorite way to speak to Jehovah other than prayer- I sing HIS praises as I follow His guidance. It’s how I cope when the world around me just doesn’t understand. It calms me when my own thoughts won’t. It follows me on my drive to work in traffic and doesn’t leave my side as I zone out into a strenuous workout or training. Challenge Day 3: Season When the seasons change- take time to reflect, settle down, and unwind. When it’s your season, you will know. When it’s a season of change, you will know. I always praise God 1st for what He’s doing in this season , no matter what, because I never want him to do it without me!!!! (Love that song 🎶) Do what works best for you. Try something new....be random....step out of your comfort zone....rest often - seasons happen for a reason and they change without notice. On this day, I chose to appreciate time and breathe. At this moment- I was at peace. The chaotic world around me had stopped and the white noise was quiet. As I spent time renewing my mind, I didn’t forget to uplift others, check in, and even support a small business in my own city. Life is as great as you allow it to be. Take advantage and make the best of all situations, including self care. For me...exercise, food, and good conversation sets my mood straight. Challenge Day 1: “Start” Remembering where we came from and only imagining what lies ahead. He is my “Start”....no longer about me! Enlightening him on where our phone technology started and how things used to be. Imagine how smart our phones are now compared to how smart we had to be then! We would sneak on the phone late at night, taking notes with a pen. The fact that we had rotary phones exhibits the start to real determination....the start to genuine conversation. No texting or digital screens...you were it...the main idea....the #1 squeeze, because call waiting didn’t exist- if you know what I mean. It all started with time and patience- prank calls with no Caller ID and deeper understanding of number memorization.
