Just moved into my new place this morning. It took 4 friends and 5 vehicles but we got it done. And this is now my lovely bed that may not match, but is so soft I don't even care. I have bamboo sheets and a fleece blanket softer than any I've ever felt. The ruby colored throw was a Xmas gift from my best friend that I just can't do without. My body aches, my feet are red and swollen and inflamed, and my head hurts. I know I haven't even begun to feel the real kick back. BUT, I'm thankful for my new place. I'm thankful for amazing friends who help me in ways I could never repay them for. I am thankful for my wonderful Edgar who is getting happier and happier here because he realizes he now has a huge backyard. I'm thankful for the opportunity this will provide me to save money, and I'm thankful that I get to spend tomorrow morning with my girl. Growth and change always come with pain, but I'm okay with that. So, something very terrible & scary happened close to my home last night. I mean a stone's throw. I have issues with #anxiety as many of you know. My anxiety isn't just being nervous or scared or upset. I have a real, biologically based form of anxiety. So, although I take medication to help control it I still have to deal with issues in real life. So I created this piece in #acrylics to try to calm myself down. My Art has always helped me to manage what's happening in my life. Today is no exception. I posted this a year ago on Facebook. It's still true every time. Weather affects me like this. I have just been so busy lately that I haven't paid attention to it's rhythm. But I feel very connected to mother nature & the earth bc I feel her moods more acutely. Post below --- So....this is why I have felt so bad the last couple of days. Now that it's here - #sweetrelief is in my bones! The #rain has been my fav since I was a kid. My happiest moments were lying in bed next to the window as the old panes rattled from the #thunder rolling across the #Kansas plains. We'd count, trying to guess how far away the heart of the storm was. #Lightning would light up the sky, silhouetting the trees and buildings in an electrified outline - showing us the brilliance of daylight again. The clouds poured their sorrows onto the windows, creating relief from their swollen ache and a smile on my face that stayed with me into sleep and the next morning. Somehow, I felt cozy, warm, even safe in the middle of a storm. I was always happiest tracking how close it was, excited when it was over the top of us, and gleefully thrilled - hands clasped together in ethereal pleasure at the power of nature and the earth showing me its strength. #happiness #power #rheum #arthritis #fibro #chroniclife #purejoy #mindfulness #InTheMoment

Today is a #notamused day. Low filtering ability due to soul exhaustion and intense emotional week. I have a very biting humor on days like this & don't filter out scathing remarks to people who usually deserve it but I normally have patience with. My next 3 weeks are going to be intense & exciting & challenging. I'm going to filter out all the extra noise, people, and activities so I can accomplish my goal. That will be a part of my #selfcare. Except the #pride event here. That will be my gift to myself. But either way, I'm #sorrynotsorry on days like this. I give out plenty of love & compassion to others. With all I juggle in my #ChronicLife I deserve to have that same kindness paid in return. Those who truly love & care for me will understand.
