WHAT CAUSES LACK OF MOTIVATION IN THE GYM? So there plenty of reasons why there can be a lack of motivation. They include lack of progress, boredom, or the progress you are getting isn’t what you wanted or expected. Lack of progress can come from not being consistent or taking it easy when you workout plus a lack of good diet. This can be fixed by adding intensity and trying to work harder and pushing your body further than you have been. Boredom can be fixed by trying to change up your workout style or routine and trying to find something that keeps me interested in a way that I want to push myself instead of having to make myself do it. An example is instead of weightlifting, try doing HIIT workouts. They are actually more fun, way more effective, and have so much variety that you can’t get bored. Lastly, not being satisfied is tied to both of those things because you aren’t getting results you want and so you aren’t interested anymore. You wonder why you should even go because you aren’t getting what you want anyways. To fix this, you must stay consistent and challenge yourself everyday! Have fun in the gym and achieve something everyday so the next day you can come back and feel like you can do more! I used to have problems with all of those things. I changed my lifestyle and improved so much and became very very motivated. I quit weightlifting, stopped restricting myself to a very boring routine, and I also eat very healthy and look forward to cooking everyday.
