How the “omg lmao i love myself I’m such a narcissist 😆” girls look at me when I tell them every little mistake makes my head spin. I need to prove my worth to myself, that I’m better and more important than those around me. If I don’t I feel powerless and annoying. I need to be in control. I need to be better. If I don’t gain attention from other people I see myself as a god. I tell myself I never needed the attention because clearly I’m much better than them. I’ve convinced myself that I have lived a mediocre life and everything I do is pointless. Living as a mediocre person is pointless. Failure is weakness and my own expectations leave me constantly overwhelmed.

One of our (newer) introjects was staring at our face in the mirror for about 10 minutes. I asked him if he was okay, and he said something I thought I should share, ‘cause it might resonate with some of ya’ll. “This face is wrong. All of this is wrong. None of this looks like it should. struggling with empathy as someone with npd is really difficult. i care a lot about my friends and partners and i care about how they feel, and i care if i upset them. but good god do i struggle to understand

i can reconize when i mess up and i can own up to it. but that doesnt mean i GET it. even if theyre just a little upset and bring it to my attention, im happy to take the criticism and i objectively GET why theyre upset. but at the same time my brain goes, "seriously? youre upset about this? get over it dude"

its insensitive to them. and i DO care about how they feel. like of course i care i made you upset but why are you even upset by this thing in the first place ?? its not that serious

like ill be there 4 u however little question marks will be spinning around my head as i do so

1. LEAVE PEOPLE TF ALONE AND MIND YOUR BUSINESS. "They have a lot of fictives" MIND YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS. "They're self dxd" MIND YOUR DAMN BUSINESS. "B- b- but they don't force their fictives to source separate" MIND. YOUR. BUSINESS. Don't police how other systems work.

2. ✨ system fucking accountability ✨ is a must. like yeah some ppl can't control their alters and their actions, but don't try and avoid responsibility by saying it's another alter.

3. endos are ableist, end of. you can only be a system with trauma.

It’s always genuinely baffling anytime we hear someone say it’s valid to “become a system for attention”. Why would you want to have a debilitating disorder that so heavily impacts your day to day life?
