The dawning of spring has got me thinking a lot about change and how the biggest changes are simply a culmination of tiny steps. Sometimes, so tiny the actualization of them is not even acknowledged, especially when we are constantly looking ahead to new ambitions. Take my journey with homemade dairy-free milk, for example. Having a steady supply was a task that, at one time, felt a little daunting and intimidating. But, as with anything, a little determination and action can go a long way. After many years, it’s now just second nature to have a rotation of almonds, tigernuts and cashews soaking in the fridge. And for the days I don't, I’ll make a quick batch of coconut milk. It’s a goal I have achieved that I completely overlooked because over time it has become an effortless habit. So, wild ones, what changes have you made that may have been overlooked? Take a moment to celebrate yourself and revel in how far you’ve come! And as always, you can find my tigernut and coconut milk recipes on the blog! There's nothing like a steamy bowl of Creamy Tomato Soup to warm the soul and nourish the body.
Growing up, my Dad always had some sort of tomato-based soup brewing on the weekends. So naturally, Homemade Tomato Soup is one of those comfort foods I crave whenever I'm feeling a little low or under the weather. Without fail, this creamy, dreamy Roasted Tomato soup always does the trick.
It's made with minimal real food ingredients and is packed full of nutrients and flavour 👌

This balmy October weather is making me reminisce over this delicious peach pie filling that I made over and over again during that decadent time of late summer.
And in actuality, autumn is a great time to enjoy it since peaches can help dispel cold from the body (Yes, they are more warming than cooling!). Plus, it’s sweetened with maple syrup and a hint of cinnamon, bringing in even more of those those warming notes.
It's perfect for pie, of course, but it's also delicious topped on coconut nice cream, made into a crumble or cobbler, or my favourite, added to oatmeal 🥰
Plus, it’s totally free of dairy, cornstarch, gluten and refined sugar, making it a great anti-inflammatory option 🙌
And you know I gotchu, you can find this recipe on the blog!

As we ride out another heatwave, it’s a wise idea to fuel up on hydrating and cooling foods!
This gut-loving Pineapple smoothie is one of my favourites to enjoy during the dog days of summer 🌞
Here’s Why ↡
🍍Both Pineapple and banana help to rid heat from the body
🍍Pineapple is around 86% water, making it a highly hydrating food
🍍Plus, pineapple is also a great digestive aid. Which, is great for summer, when those icy cold drinks and frozen treats can add up and dampen digestion.

🍑✨It’s Peach Season! ✨🍑
I think I say this every year, but I’ll say it again, this is my favourite time of year!
The abundance is overflowing with ripening fruits, veg and summer sunshine😌
This weekend’s mission is hunting down some local peaches to make my yummy Vegan Peaches & Cream (and, of course, experiment with a new recipe or two 😉)
Here’s just a few reasons I love Peaches ↡
🍑Good Source of Potassium
🍑Rich in Anti-Inflammatory Phytonutrients
🍑Great Source of Vitamin C
🍑Rich in Beta-Carotene (Vitamin A)
I’d love to know, what’s your favourite way to eat peaches? ♡

Finally, it’s Friday!!
Dreaming of lake swims, bonfires and roasting vegan s’mores with these Healthy Homemade Graham’s 🔥
These Homemade Graham Crackers are free of refined sugar, dairy and gluten (as long you use gluten-free oats). But, you would never guess! They taste just like traditional Graham Crackers and are perfectly crisp with just the right amount of crunch.
And Did you know? ↡
Oats are a great source of cholesterol-lowering fibre!
Unlike other grains, the bran and germ remain intact in oats, even through the hulling process, which provides a concentrated source of their fibre, along with other nutrients. Of course, some of this is lost when they’re blended into a flour. However, oat flour is still much richer in fibre than wheat. Which means it’s better for blood sugar, cholesterol and gut health!
P.S. many non-organic oat brands are found to have some of the highest amounts of glyphosate! So, make sure to opt for organic, whenever possible, to avoid nasty carcinogens, hormone disrupters and compounds that wreak havoc on gut health ♡

With all this rain and sunshine we’ve been having, it’s been such an abundant year for the flowers and crops!
This was just some of my Chive Blossom Harvest 😍
These beauties only bloom for a short time in late spring - early summer. That’s why I like to dry them out and store them to use over the cooler months.
Chives and their blossoms actually have a warming effect on the body so they're best enjoyed through the autumn, winter and spring (or whenever there is excess dampness or coolness in the body).
Chive Blossoms look like they would have a sweet flavour but they actually taste just like chive shoots! They have a mild garlicky-onion flavour and make the best infused oils and vinegars.
Here’s some more benefits of Chive Blossoms ↡
🌸 Rich in Antioxidants
🌸 High in Vitamin C
🌸 Good Source of Chlorophyl
🌸 Digestive Stimulant
🌸 Improves Circulation
🌸 Anti-Inflammatory

Keep cool with this yummy Avocado & Moringa Green Smoothie! ✌️😎🌞
Moringa is a true superfood. It's incredibly nutrient-dense, loaded with many vitamins and minerals, protein and antioxidants. Many actually refer to it as the “Miracle Tree” because it has SO many health and healing benefits.
Plus, it's great to consume during the summer as it has a cooling effect on the body!
Moringa is also great for nursing mothers since it stimulates milk production.
On top of all that, this smoothie is filled with fibre and good fats. It's also vegan, gluten-free and contains no added sugar.
