crown jewel/stained glass jello cakes are like beautiful angels to me. it's fruity and delicious. it's retro kitsch. it's an edible example of midcentury minimalist art in every cross section.

i understand the 50s housewife appeal here. if i rolled up to the potluck with a fugly cobbler and my neighbor brought one of these i may have to end my stupid sloppy fruit life.

Novembro do ano passado eu achei uma copia baratissima do livro Ziraldo Em Cartaz no Ebay (por sinal autografada)...e não é que ele faleceu esse ano? Depois entrei em um rabbit hole e fui descobrir que ele se meteu em drama político.... muito interessante. Na infância eu adorava o estilo dele, e esse livro tem umas ilustrações FODAS, e achei muito interessante descobrir sobre a cartera de cartazes que ele fez, inclusive propaganda, e a tipografia dele que também é tão Dele. Enfim, nessa inspiração eu fiz desenho com intenção de colorir. e só agora pus umas cores, umas texturas, umas bagunças digitais.

This weekend I brought my childhood Tekno robotic pets back from my parents’ house, removed the old corroded batteries, cleaned them off, and tested them to see if they still work- surprisingly, all of them do! I had the Dino-Chi toys over here already, but checked them over too- and with some needlenose pliers, managed to finally remove the last remaining crumbs of green play-doh i got stuck in the top button of the pterodactyl when i was like, 6, lol.

This was prompted by my inability to find any pictures online of the specific Tekno puppy I own- the dalmatian coloration of Tekno the Robotic Newborn doesnt show up in any of my google searches, so I figured I should upload pictures of mine.

i dont know if any of the accessories these came with still exist- i’ll have to search around my parents’ house more carefully sometime to find out.
