On day three we started with writing the introductions for our film 

Then while Tarunya and Prisha were deciding the font of the title I found the typewriter sound effects for the title.

Edit Day 2

On day 2 we added the sound effects and background music to the product then color graded the product, made folly sound and wrote the subtitles for the product. This was how it looked at first

and then after grading this was the output

We also added a cinema scope of 16:9 to the product to make it look filmy.

Next me and Khwaaish went down to the pantry to record the folly sound of the bottle falling.

Then me and Khwaaish wrote down the subtitles for the film.

Edit Day 1

On day 1 we started with compiling all the final clips together which went up to 18 minutes while we had to make a product of 2 minutes only so we had to cut off many scenes and shots which I had taken, which was very difficult to decide which clips to cut off. When our director and editor were editing me and Khwaaish were finding background music.

First we found the opening music of bell ringing sound on youtube

Which we then download through savefrom.net which only works laptops or computers. Then I airdropped it to our editing computer from where we added it to the product.

Then we found various other background music and downloaded them.

Shoot Day 2

Our second day of shoot was on 9th of February. We started the shoot late as we wanted the corridor and classrooms empty so the actors were called in at 2:30 when Khwaaish started doing their makeup and I started setting up the camera again.

The first shot of the day was a hand held two long shot of Tina watching Rohit exit from the corridor with a gun in his hand.

Next was an OTS of Aryan which was quite a task for me as he was very tall however I coped with it.

Suddenly I imagined a great shot which I couldn't quite explain to Prisha our director so I showed her a visual representation of it by recording the shot on my mobile. 

Prisha approved it right away and we took the shot. It was a low angle mid shot.

After that when Khwaaish started the preparation for the last scene of the day and shoot, me and Prisha went down to the ground floor to take the establishing shot with the tripod.

After this was the time for the last scene where Prisha had an amazing idea of using whoosh pan which also looked good.

Shoot Day 1 II

After-

It is not shaking at all now.

I also used the 180 degree rule of cinematography by not breaking it.

Next we went up to the pantry where we used the tripod for the master shot

Then I took hand held pov of both the characters which was also an OTS shot of Tina from Aaryans POV.

Then we used a really low angle shot to show Tinas reaction and the dropping of the bottle.

Then was the last take of the day which was a static multiple shot of students exiting the college.

Shoot Day 1

Our first shoot day was on 8th February 2023. Our actors started coming in at 9:30 and immediately Khwaaish our production designer started doing make up of the actors while I the cinematographer of the film started preparing the camera and tripods. We had three batteries for the the camera and two batteries of the portable monitor which i put immediately on charging and put the SD card in the camera and then started taking mock shots and adjusting the depth of field and ISO, aperture value and shutter speed.

Then we went down for our first scene of the day in the parking lot where we decided to take hand held shots only as I was prepared for as I had practiced at home by holding 10 Kilograms dumbbells. There first we decided to take a master shot mid long two shot.

After that we took Tina and Aaryan's Over the shoulder shots to show them conversing and thought of using shot reverse shot in the edit.

However while shooting I didn't realize that there was a lot of head space given which was rectified in the edit.

SOUND AND MUSIC  In our film we have used a very fun vibey music to create a mood in the start by using this audio https://youtu.be/V9DAAkoM67o Then for the bell ringing sound we used this audio

Then there were dialogues exchanged between Tina and Aryan and as the come up to the pantry they hear a sound of a gun shot 

Then started a suspenseful music being played to build up the tension.  

and then we used a door creaking sound.

We have also used diegetic, synchronous dialogues, themes and stings, ambient sound  and folly sound.

Post 18 III Sound Sound perspective is the relative distance of the sound to the character eg. a car engine might be heard from a distance allowing the audience to know that the car is away from the character.

Folly sound is when the sound which are produced for the scene separately.

  Post 18 II Sound  Dialogues is the sound of two or more people conversing or exchanging lines.

Voice over is the background narration.

Mode of address- Direct address is when the audience is spoken to directly by the character. Indirect address is when the character refers to the audience in third person.

Sound mixing is matching the background music Sound bridge is when the sound continues from one scene to another.

Ambient sound is the background noise of a particular environment/ location eg. a rural village morning.

RESEARCH AND PLANNING    Post 18 SOUND  There are types of sound used in a film:-  Diegetic sound- Where you know the source of the sound. You can see the sound being made. 

Non Diegetic sound- Is when you don’t know the the source of the sound eg. backdround noise you cant see the source.

Synchronous Sound- Which is in sync with the scene.

Asynchronous sound is when the sound does not match the scene. 

Sound Motif- When the sound is related to the character or a scene

RESEARCH AND PLANNING  Post 17 FILMING EQUIPMENTS  Firstly we used CANON 5D MARK III

Then we used HOLLYLAND MARK C1 for recording audio and dialouges.

Other equipment for lighting was FRX 400

And the monitor used was MONITOR SCREEN LILLIPUT 7 INCH 4K PORTABLE MONITOR

And lasty this was the tripod used.
