One of my friends, Leo, has been made homeless and organisations that are supposed to help are siding with his abuser - it makes me really sad that this is coming on top of all the issues he's faced thus far

Him and his partner, Alex, would really appreciate any donations or sharing of this, they're both such incredible people!

I met Alex in 2020 at an LGBT under 18s group, and Leo in 2021 at the same group. Ever since then, I've spoken to them at group almost every week, we moved to the adults group together, met up to play board games at a geek hangout for literal hours (leading to them eventually dating), spent the entire day together around a shopping centre, and have just had so many laughs

They're the types of people that you can be around and be yourself entirely without worry, and they've both been to hell and back because people suck. They are incredible friends and I'll always be greatful for the unhinged conversations and absolute chaos. They are both such generous souls and I really hope they're able to get Leo somewhere to stay quickly

There is not enough support for 🗺️s and there needs to be.

When people are faced with high CSA stats, their reaction is to kill all 🗺️s, as if that'll fix anything (non-🗺️s can commit CSA and most 🗺️s do not offend) and as if that's even possible. Why does it feel like nobody can see the blaringly obvious failure of the mental health system here?

Some studies say 1 in 6, others say 20%, others say the range could be anywhere from 2-24%, and the majority of those stats are just on men in Western countries who are willing to admit that they are 🗺️s in a world that hates them for it.

Around 1-5% of people experience exclusive or near-exclusive 🗺️ attraction and they will likely receive no support for the difficulties that come with that - having to live a life where you only experience attraction to people you cannot legally partner with.

Some studies also indicate that the difference between pro-contact offenders and anti-contact offenders may be barely distinguishable. Yes, even people who believe what they're doing is morally wrong are in a position where they're doing it anyway. These people need support and they're not getting it. I know how much self-hatred comes with seeing your feelings as morally reprehensible, and they're feeling that and still feeling a need to offend.

🗺️s have higher rates of depression, suicidal thoughts, and other mental health complications. Plenty of 🗺️s struggle with agoraphobia or having to make active efforts to avoid the objects of their attraction out of the distress it brings them to even feel that attraction. We are not inherently doomed to the fate of offending and even less of us would be if you actually. fucking. helped us. If you actually let us talk to one another about it. If you actually let us have our resources and share them with one another instead of reporting every 🗺️ you see just for being a 🗺️.

Me saying this doesn't mean I'm justifying any actions. I'm simply advocating for a prevention measure that I know would be helpful, and that is more support for 🗺️s and people experiencing urges to offend.

A CompID in which you feel compelled to identify with a certain contact stance unwillingly. This could be due to trauma, mental disorders, delusions, lack of acceptance, or otherwise just not being able to have a different stance

Someone who is CompContact may feel compelled to identify with a certain stance even if it doesn't accurately describe their views

In order: CompAntiC, CompProC CompComplexC, CompNeutralC, CompStanceless (unwillingly having no contact stance)

Based on the CompID flag. Feel free to make alts based on pre-existing contact stance flags because I couldn't find any myself. Might make ForceID versions one day

Non-Contact / No-Contact / NC Flag

I didn't coin this term. It's been in use in the para community for a long time to refer to when you personally aren't going to make contact for one (or all) of your paras, so I made a flag for it

What counts as 'making contact' varies per individual, but most of the time I don't see people counting fiction or roleplay, just the real thing. You also don't need to be anti-contact to be non-contact

People always wanna act like the groups they don't like have a reason for 'being that way' and they'll always say it's because they 'have no friends' or 'have no life'. It's the only way they can justify hating someone for something they can't control - act like they can control it, they just need to 'get a life' or 'touch grass' or 'find god'

I always use my partner as an example with this stuff because they really show that radqueers and transid users and paraphiles live whole damn lives

I can visit my partner pretty easily within a few hours of travel. They're bi-gaybian, transfemmasc, intersex, neurodivergent, south asian + middle eastern, polyamorous, a husband to a trans woman, a parent to a HSN autistic son, a joyfriend to a non-binary aroace, a child to a Filipina-as-fuck mother, and they're radqueer

The people in their life are not 'worse off' or being 'radicalised' or 'brainwashed'. They're incredible people, I've met most of them by now. Some would fit the definition of radqueer, others wouldn't, but they all love my partner and accept them because they're good people who listen to how others feel and believe them and know when something is harmless.

so close! yesterday I went to my friend's house, who lives in my city, it's a system, it's a 🐾 and 💀 and of legal age (chrono)-

we smoked 🍃 , we drank some vodka (I thought it was horrible), he dyed my hair pink, I took a shower at his house (and I couldn't turn the shower off), he even lent me a little dress saying he thought I would look cute in it, and we recorded some videos together

I don't know what you guys think radqueers are like outside of the internet, but we're not super weirdos that no one wants to talk to, most of us have other characteristics besides being radqueer, we are... perfectly normal? we also have family, friends, school....
