The Dark Philosopher
29 posts
The musings of a scholar and syllogist, delivering enlightenment to the vox populi. Not suited for the frail and narrow-minded. Tartarean is a term that describes something with infernal and dark attributes of sorts.

“What expression has in common with repression is that its movement is blocked by reality. That movement, and the whole complex of experience of which it is a part, is denied direct communication with its object. […] Each successful expression of the subject, one might say, is a small victory over the play of forces in its own psychology. The pathos of art is bound up with the fact that precisely by withdrawing into imagination it renders the superior power of reality its due, and yet does not resign itself to adaptation, does not prolong external violence in internal deformation. Those who accomplish this, have without exception to pay dearly for it as individuals, left helplessly behind by their expression, which has outstripped their psychology.”
— Theodor W. Adorno, Minima Moralia, 136

Perusing the settings of my fledgeling blog I come across something both curious and maddening in equal measure. The toggle which regulates the kinds of topics allowed to be shown on the website, all intrinsically set to "Hide". Are you not to adjust it to the "Show" option, you shall not encounter discussion of violence, sexual themes and graphic content of an explicit nature. How telling is this petty attempt at censorship, hidden in plain sight for all to see yet forced upon those who are not as inquisitive or thorough enough to check? In the truest sense of the word, this is illustrative of what kind of individuals are responsible for this blogging site, and subsequently why it has amassed the collection of people that sincerely use it and live by it. The discussion of anything deemed "Mature" is shunned, with masses flocking to their "Safe Spaces" instead of confronting reality, leaping to the next best platform they can consort through that enables this deluded behavior. Could the human race have achieved great feats if every attempt at parley was shut down and placed behind bars? The real world is not a "Safe Space". It would do you well to know this.

I have been informed that accenting my written speech with described actions within asterisks suggests the appearance of the scribe of such a text being juvenile or engaging in "Role-playing behavior". I am no individual concerned with role confusion; I am aware of my place within society and have no desire to act out different identities in a virtual space, though I myself cannot fully grasp the correlation between the two. Very well.

As I returned to my own previous posts and re-blogs, I became aware of the name of the account through which I had found the image above. "Sexy Grammatical Errors". Heh. No such thing.
