Our August Book Review:
Her Royal Spyness Solves Her First Case  by Rhys Bowen
(Book 1 of A Royal Spyness Mystery Series)
It's a great Cozy Mystery set in 1930s London, during the Great Depression & Prince Edward's affair with Wallis Simpson. And did I mention the main character is a (fictional) member of the royal family?

"If you have a gun hanging on the wall in the first act, then it must be fired in a later act. If it's not going to be fired, then it shouldn't be there."

HRH The Duchess of Sussex has guest-edited the September issue of British Vogue. The issue is titled, “Forces for Change” and highlights female changemakers, who are making a difference around the world.
“Through this lens I hope you’ll feel the strength of the collective in the diverse selection of women chosen for the cover as well as the team of support I called upon within the issue to help bring this to light. I hope readers feel as inspired as I do, by the ‘Forces for Change’ they’ll find within these pages.”

I find it's helpful to think about my character's home and it's layout when writing. Not only does it help you stage scenes, but homes are an important extension of a character and the story's setting.
