yeaaa so you know that thing where systems find themselves in different places than they were before with no memory of why or how they got there ??

four years ago we got into a fatal car crash, our hosts mother was driving us along with our 3 younger siblings. it was traumatic, we all had ptsd from it, the usual stuff. our dad blamed US for getting into a car crash?!

anyway we had this whole fear of getting into a car after that, and we were in a new car one day and i was terrified and holding onto my seatbelt. other cars were driving crazy around us. and suddenly, the scenery around us was changing, we were panicking, knowing who we were one second and who we were with, and the next we had no idea where we were. it couldve been minutes or hours later, who knows?

anyway apparently my parents noticed the panic and disorientation because my mom was asking if i was okay and then my dad was like "oh dont worry, im driving safe, im not gonna get us into a car crash like your mom did." and that kinda snapped us back to reality. we got so mad that we were grounded back to reality, lol.

promptly forgot about that for years, only reason why we remember now is because we're currently in a car (and are able to recall memories collectively)--

so we were scheduled to have a video call meeting with a friend of mine. (Kai.) Naturally, I should've been in the meeting. but no, the brain decided Pixie would front?! he already knows that were a system, and we've spoken to him a little about some of our trauma, which was quite the dreary experience. but he's also indian, and somethings we say in english he simply doesn't understand, so we kinda keep the more intricate details under wraps. but this is the first time he's met someone that wasn't me, and god was it embarrassing kinda. Pixie was literally panicking and trying to force switch me back in, and i didn't really know what was going on at all, lol, all the while pixie was apologizing for being there and he was trying to be as understanding as possible. oh god. and then i came in and apologized for everything, and he was like super happy that me, his best friend, was back, but goshlsdmcd i really do hate this disorder fuckskdsflm

so far we've told around 6 people about our osdd-1. (one was a system themselves, but we didnt know until then and we ended up revealing we were a system at the same time, we have system friends now, cool) 4 out of 6 knew us from childhood, and all of their reactions were basically along the lines of "yea, you've been traumatized horribly, that checks out" lmao

i mean of course they were more sympathetic and understanding than that, but it just puts it into perspective. we all really are here, we really were put through severe childhood trauma by our parents, and fuck we still have to see them everyday, and that makes it worse.

i wish this wasnt real. it's scary. it's horrible.

but our loved ones accepting us as a system outright, it makes everything feel like we're going to heal someday with the support we need. one day we'll move out and we'll truly heal from everything.

i do just wish things had been better.
