Notes: A lot of this fic was me just laughing at Marco, poor guy. Thank god Izou comes to the rescue—I'm pretty sure Marco wasn't gonna survive much longer. It's so good, so sweet, they're so in love and i want to cry. the plot is FANTASTIC i was hanging on every word. I can't explain how much i loved this—every single twist, every single moment of agony and happiness, there was no tearing me away from this. It is worth every single one of the 21 chapters and the 268,722 words within them. 1000/10. im never recovering. i need to leave five hundred comments once i regain brain function

Contrary to what most people believed, hell was a rather cold place. Zoro had been quite used to it, the lack of light, the vast glaciers, his body no longer as fragile as it was eons ago, and so a simple touch like this from Luffy, from the sun, made him feel like his flesh was scorched—melting away easily like winter in summer’s heat.

They were close, so close that their foreheads were almost touching, and despite the burn of it, Zoro didn’t push him away. He smirked, his one eye glowing just as red as Luffy’s.

“Don’t decide something on your own, idiot.”

The thing they do is kind of like a game, because Luffy likes games, but it’s also kind of a competition because Zoro can’t not turn anything and everything into a competition. It doesn’t have a name and there are only two rules, because more than two would just be making things boring and overcomplicated.

2. Whoever is the loser has to do whatever the winner says

This mystery date of his, he’s there in his memories, but there’s a thick haze over him, like trying to look through morning fog.

A modern ZoLu AU but with a dash of forgotten gods and plenty of hedonism. (In which Zoro finds god in the form of a drunken fling with a certain self-indulgent deity.)

LETS GET STARTED! - - - Chapter 121, page 3; Shortly after the two Giants of Elbaf begin to fight the second time, Mr. 5 (First seen on Whiskey Peak.) finds Luffy, Usopp and Vivi and proceeds to beat them up, telling Luffy that all of his other friends have been captured. To this, Luffy replies; "Caught Zoro? You would be cut to pieces." Chapter 121, page 13; Mr. 5 brings Vivi to Mr. 3 and announces that he has 'killed' Luffy, at this Zoro smirks and replies; "You did? Ha." Chapter 122, page 19; When Luffy digs himself out from under the skeleton and rushes to his Nakama's rescue, he finds them stuck in the candle trap and Nami and Vivi call out for his help. He turns to Zoro and askes him he needs help too, and Zoro says no. Nami then draws attention to his nearly sawn off legs that are bleeding all over the place and, but he only asks Luffy to break the pillar so he can help fight. Chapter 123, page 5; When Broggy asks why Zoro is no longer fighting, he replies; "Because there is someone else who's willing to fight for us." Chapter 124, page 6; Zoro calls Luffy Innocent.
