23.5 Each nation’s captain heart throbbing strategy manual (mini!) p.176
So in between the major foreign school profiles, there are tiny single pages scattered with some fun? interesting info. I decided to have a go at the one that would probably interest most people.
My translations can all be found here.
p. 176
Pressing interview! Each nation's captain heart throbbing strategy manual (mini!) This time's special issue will teach you how to seduce the captains of each country. Let's survey them about the passions of love!
Q1 Teach us your philosophy on love!
Atobe Keigo (Japan MSER) If they are beside ore-sama, someone who feels prideful (TL note: someone who is proud of being next to Atobe? Lol u achieved something girl)
Byoudoin Houo (Japan) I'll just steal any woman I want!
L. Camus De Charpentier (France) Love…that is the light of the world…That is tennis.
Amadeus (Switzerland) With a lover, every day is richer.
Jean Fitzgerald (Australia) A lover is a good life partner.
Ralph Rhinehart (America) Ahaha, let's leave it to your imagination.
Zeus Iliopoulos (Greece) Someone who needs me, that could satisfy me. (TL note: Someone who can satisfy him or he can satisfy??? That last part is hecky.)
Q2 Do you have a lover now? Yes: 2 No: 4 Something else: 1 Tennis: 1 There are players currently in love. It seems some had the power and view to enter tennis as their lover. (TL note: some had the opinion that tennis is a lover)
Q3 What could a woman give you as a present that would impress you?
A plaster bust of me A plaster bust elaborately modeled after my upper half. If the details are well crafted, I want it to decorate my house. (Zeus)
Valentine chocolate In our country, the boys give chocolate to the girls on valentine. I would be surprised and happy. (R.R.)
A moving letter. A nice and warm letter would be nice if I felt down. I'd be grateful if you continued watching me play. (Name withheld) (TL note: A letter with nice and warm fluffy contents)
Postcript: We were really surprised by the global result, but please use this as reference when you attack the captains!

Tomokazu Seki Voices All Seven Players of Greek Team in The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup
It has been officially confirmed that Tomokazu Seki (Domon Kasshu in Mobile Fighter G Gundam, Gilgamesh in Fate/stay night) will play all seven characters of the Greek national team in the forthcoming TV anime The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup.
It was already announced last month that Seki was cast as the role of Zeus Iliopoulos, the captain of the Greek representative team. And it was revealed that he also voices all six remaining players of the team. The characters he will play are - Zeus Iliopoulos, Thalatta Heracles, Papadopoulos Evangelos, Hermes Kounellis, Vulcan Lartius, Apollon Stephanopoulos, and Orion Stephanopoulos.
Seki says, "I wondered what kind of role I would play, then I was so surprised when I looked at the materials (laughs). I never thought I would be playing the entire team by myself!  If it was a dream, I wanted it to wake up (laughs). But it's an opportunity I've been given, and I'm going to enjoy it as much as I can!" You can check out how he plays each character differently in a new PV below.

Honestly if you’d told me a little while ago I would describe a character named after, out of the entire greek pantheon, Zeus, as ‘adorable’ I might have given you a very odd look, and yet here we are.
Colours are obviously just a guess, so I included the greyscale. Which still fits, because hey! Marble!

I forget how to draw every time I am away from my computer for like, more than 24 hours, so I drew the statue children to get some of the vacation stiffness out of my fingers and also to help myself keep their names straight, since the whole name/appearances switcharoo kind if threw me off. Also, a couple of possible colour schemes because I felt like it.
I cannot for the life of me figure out what the Stephanopoulos siblings are based on, so I’m waiting until I figure that out before trying my hand at drawing them. Some more thoughts/name stuff etc. under the readmore.
I asked my greek friend meg to help me figure out what their names would properly read to, but considering Kiko’s last name is ‘barentien’ I am sure official translations will be totally different lol.
Barukan’s name remains a mystery both on first and last name terms, since both Vulcan (Latin equivalent to the greek god Hephaestus)  and Balkan (the geographic region greece is technically part of, but which isn’t... often used to refer to greece that I know of?) are kind of combo-breakers on the greek god theme. His last name is really hard to make out in general so I am utterly confident that one is going to turn out completely different from our guesses, but I have a preference for Laertios atm. So I’ll be tagging him Balkan Laertios until otherwise corrected.
Herakles and Evangelos were introduced with their names in japanese order, while the rest were introduced western order, which is kind of odd and had me a little confused on Herakles’ name for a bit, but since ‘Papadopoulos’ is almost certainly Evangelos’ surname and not the other way around, I figure ‘Taratta’ is Herakles’. I mean, that same page lists Herakles as a middle schooler, which he isn’t either, so I guess the editors just didn’t pay attention to the name order etc. Or maybe they did, but they thought it was in the wrong order and switched it to japanese style, who knows. Anyway, ‘Thalatta’ is apparently an older form of  modern greek  ‘thalassa’, which means ocean. The more you know.
Initially Zeus got put down as a cupid statue because of his round face. but the recent chapter made it a little more clear to me that it was the hair that has been referenced, not the face shape, so I had to readjust my expectations. Unfortunately, closely cropped curly hair is very common in ancient greek statues lol.
Apparently ancient greeks considered blond hair exceptionally beautiful, which is why lots of gods are depicted blond, and they would actually bleach their hair, so theoretically the entire team consisting of blond people wouldn’t be entirely out of place, but I still hope that’s not how it’s gonna turn out. Of course, I will also be very amused if they actually turn out to be statue-coloured.
Initially I thought Evangelos not sharing a name with his statue might just have been Konomi forgetting the statue’s name, but now that we have the names of all 7 greek reps in the vs. Japan lineup I’m starting to think it’s less of a confusion or laziness thing and more of a ‘don’t think these are their greek counterparts just because they look like statues or have a specific name’ kind of thing. Sort of a roundabout disclaimer before anyone gives him trouble about not sticking to mythology canon or something.
(and, I mean, I don’t think we’re actually ever going to see the OTHER 21 greek players. I can think of no other reason beyond Konomi going ‘I don’t want to draw more Greeks than strictly neccesary’ for the Greek team to pit their captain against what is statistically the weakest country in their group league block when there’s a powerhouse like Switzerland breathing down their neck..)
I just really like the greek children ok... they are being such good sports about losing in contrast to the high-tension snooty germans and the jerkass tsube republic people and the USA team that is still missing all but one middle-schooler so far, and they’re being given aCTUAL SCREENTIME INTERACTING WHICH I HAVE BEEN WANTING BETWEEN NEW CHARACTERS
