theres a greek sports anime boy named zeus iliopoulos help
#im not saying this as a critique bc i havent seen the show hes from i just think its VERY funny#bc its such a fake greek name#like. no one in greece is named zues. zues isnt even a greek name. the god zues is not called that in greek (its dias)#iliopoulos actually is a last name though credit where credit is due but its the name combo that gets me#how do i put it. its like if you were like yes im your average american democracy johnson#i dont think its a big deal tho. again i think its funny. go zues iloppoulos LMAO#my only genuine critique of him as a character as someone who has not seen the show and doesnt plan to is that hes got blonde hair+blue eyes#like dont get me wrong there are some greek ppl with blonde hair. i could name a few ive met i tried#(i could not for the life of me name a single greek person ive met w blue eyes tho. like im sure its happened but. rare.)#but the show seems to be trying to make a character that EMBODIES greece so...#it doesnt fit very well? brown hair brown eyes and a big nose and hairy. that would be it. that would befit the name zues iliopoulos#i will say tho. i like that they gave him a cross. thats actually super accurate greek boys wear those alllll the time#so despite the name being ancient they didnt make the mistake of thinking greek ppl follow hellenism#so credit where credit is due on that one too
