This started as a background practice, but then I hated it. I didn't want to start over, though, because I had just spent over an hour on just the grass. So, I added Link and Zelda to balance it out (because their inclusion boosts my work exponentially). (EDIT: Also, this apparently my 100th post on this blog!! 🎊)

super mild totk spoilers >>> when I found Link's hairband in Zelda's secret study I had this headcanon that she helps him tie his hair all the time 😭 and that he loves the feeling of someone playing with his hair but is too shy to tell her... so they just have this lil routine.

Chapter 1

Hyrule was an idyllic village, nestled within the mountains. Until one fateful day, a dragon made a cavern by the nearby Lake Hylia its home. Ravaging the village, it terrorized its people, eating many alive. The king struck a deal with the dragon: one animal sacrifice each day to spare his people.

That sated the dragon until one day, all the animals had been sacrificed and there were none left to offer up to secure the dragon's good graces.
