I’ve been getting really into old zelda games recently, but for some reason i’m very, very dedicated to only playing as wolf link. So naturally I made sprite edits of 30 year old games I’ve never played before. And then I made my own artwork of the sprites based on the artwork in the manuals of each game. Which is how normal people play video games, I think? Here’s some sketches

[Legend of Zelda]: 38 years and ongoing.

Happy 38th Anniversary to the game that started the legend - the original Legend of Zelda on the Famicom, released on 21 Feb 1986 [Japan release].

This started as a "quick sketch" to commemorate the release. But I got carried away with the finer details. Especially on the Famicom and NES consoles. I'm really happy with how they turned out.

Link's outfit is a updated version of my 80's fashion design from my old [Fashion Line Up] series for LinkedUniverse AU.

So I'm rarely get time to draw thanks to my job... But I made the time to draw something like this :D. I wanted to challenge myself with something and an idea of drawing old NES Zelda Concept/Art would be a fun idea. So I based this on my au/reimagined version of NES Link aka Mage and here's the results :)

Two days ago I resumed my YouTube Shorts series called Little Lilac Book to celebrate the 39th anniversary of the very first Zelda game, so why not to upload it as a picture? And since these OG Link and Zelda broke the chain of characters from Saga of the Wild, I decided that from now on the characters for this series will be chosen randomly. For example, one video will feature the characters from Twilight Princess, and the next one will have characters from Minish Cap.

By the way, it's been around 5 years since I drew Link from NES era.

Yesterday (February 21st) was Legend of Zelda’s 39th anniversary!! Which I had no clue about it until the evening…so I’m a bit late. In which I decided to draw something from Legend of Zelda (the first game) to celebrate it.

Also I redrew one the of the original arts in my style.
