Natsu : Okay, guys. Look straight! Gotta be cool for this year's movie!

Gray : I'm getting my bling-blings on for the part of this movie! Gotta look tough, gotta stay cool! Gotta make those eyes sparkle!

Natsu : Hey, man. Vampires don't sparkle, we're gonna play this year's movie, it's going to be a huge hit!

Wendy : You guys are gonna look great. How to explicit this movie's rating, will it be PG-13? Or rated R?

Natsu : You tell me, it's gonna be super chick-flick movie. I'm just making sure that our movie is going to be called the Dragon's Cry, it's a movie about us that will search an artifact called the Dragon's Cry, it's definitely not igneel that is crying like some pokemon, but it's an artifact that is originally a ribbon.

Gray : Yeah, it's probably gonna be set before the final arc.

Wendy : I don't know about this guys. We've come along way to see this part of the movie, but we needed the definite attire if we're going to participate in this year's movie.

Hiro Mashima : I don't know about that much of having a block buster into a movie in the worldwide international release. But, this is going to be a great movie for us. Of course, you'll like it, fans will love it. It's a good deduction on my work on how this movie is officially canon. Hold up, it's my agent. I better make sure that I have get in with a little talk-to-talk with the editors.

Natsu : Yeah, man. Don't forget I'm getting a pair of drips when my movie's released.

Hiro Mashima : It'll come out, eventually.

Gray : Nothing's better than with to chill out with the bros. It's always clear, that mother has taught me the ways of dressed fancy, and I will be that outsmarted by you. Don't get all to cocky of who are you dealing with. Erza and Lucy are going to looking great at the film.

Natsu : Huh. Well, I wonder how that's gonna look great on these two when they have to dress as spies for the clothing.

Happy the Cat : Like one of them spy movies? (imagines himself as James Bond) Think of someone as the most coolest spy in the world where I take actions on stopping a mad scientist or an evil organization.

*Throws tomato+man grunts in pain*

Happy the Cat : That would be so awesome! But you did gave the right outfits as spies did you, dressing like you guys would make you the perfect spies.

Natsu : Yep. And I go like to be...(as James Bond) Dragneel, Natsu Dragneel.

Gray : (as James Bond) And Fullbuster, Gray Fullbuster.

Natsu : (normally) Something like that.

Erza : Hey, guys. Does this outfit make me look fat?

Gray : What's the problem now Erza and...Why are you in a bunny girl suit?

Erza : This is not what the director told me about being a spy in the part of the movie. I can't believe Mashima had to make me wear this, as a waitress at a bar? That's real comedy gold for ya, REAL. COMEDY. GOLD!

Gray : What? It looks great, you just had to be the spy of wearing that outfit, and it makes you look good. What's the problem about that? It doesn't make you look fat.

Erza : Well, you're right about that, I do look cool of being a bunny girl at casino, I don't know why Japan loves making girls wear a bunny costume. This is totally not my style.

Gray : I'm sure you'll live with it.

Lucy : Hey, Natsu. I just had to come over here after so many men had to giving their selves a perverted look on this outfit. So I helped Virgo out to clog the nosebleeding. Thank goodness, Mashima had my advice to give me an outfit that make me ook gorgeous in the part of my gig.

Natsu : Looks are gorgeous, Lucy. But looks don't matter when you--

*BOING+SHATTER+SUBALUWA*

(their jaws drop)

Natsu : Oh. My. God.

Gray : Dude. That is one gorgeous outfit.

(cues Sexy no Jutsu music)

Lucy in her Dancer Outfit : Well, guys. I sure hope this outfit suits me well. What'd you think? Don't I look cute, gorgeous, (in a passionate voice) And very stunning?

Wendy : Wow...That is a gorgeous look.

Erza : (covers Wendy's eyes) Shield eyes, Wendy.

Lucy : This new dancer outfit that Mashima gave me feels so good on my skin, I might feel very attractive. Don't I look cool.

Natsu : Totally. (both him and Gray melts)

Gray : I can sure deal with that!

*SMACK X2*

Natsu : Ow, Erza! The heck did you do that for!?

Gray : Yeah, what gives?!

Erza : CAN ANY OF YOU CUT THE STUPID TRICKS, YOU HEAR ME!? THIS IS YOUR LAST AND FINAL WARNING!!!

Natsu : Okay! Okay! Lucy will do your part and you'll play yours in the bar scene.

Gray : Fine, ma! Have it your way, we'll take parts in each of the scenes in the movie, let's get this over with before Edens Zero is going to have it's first adapation by the year 2021, this is going to be a great farewell to the end of Fairy Tail, but we'll come back in a year or two. When I say two, I meant 2024, that's how will get the gang back together again.

Natsu : Agree. Also, that dancer's outfit make you look totally appeal.

Director : Fairy Tail, we need you to be on set!

Natsu : Let's go guys! It's movie time!

*one filming the movie later*

Guy : Fairy Tail Movie : Dragon Cry Final Scene tail slate.

(Applause)

Director : That's a wrap.

Natsu : Woo! That felt good! This could be perfect! Hey, guys! That was great! Awesome, epic movie! Yeah, you all thank us too!

Gray : Dude! We are a hit! So, Mashima. Now that we're ready to show this movie to the world, we will make it to the top! Plus, Lucy's Dancer outfit has now become a fan-favorite, I totally nailed it!

Lucy : Right, it doesn't have to tell why Gray made me wear it.

Gray : Because it looks good, girl! You were dancing amazingly, and you've become very attractive that it went on the internet!

Lucy : You uploaded my dancing scene to make it viral!? Wha--I--How is that even possible!? Great, now I'm gonna be a Belly Dancer for Ara--

*THUNDER CRASHING*

Lucy : I mean...Great, now I'm gonna be a belly dancer that is very attractive to drunken men at a bar. This is what I get for alluring with men all the time.

Natsu : Relax, Lucy. You look great in that outfit and it became popular, besides. You were so amazing in that outfit i think it's kinda cute and charmingly.

Lucy : (blushes) You really mean it?

Natsu : Absolutely.

Lucy : Why...Why thank you, Natsu. I could never doubt that you would be amazed in that scene, it's kind perfect that the belly dancing scene would made a total distraction for a bunch of boys who are in a haze attracted to my dancing. Although, I haven't thought of something if I would be attractive to you, Natsu.

Natsu : Oh, that's what I'm talking about.

Happy the Cat : You never told anyone that you were seducing Zash Caine with your seductive dancing, Luce.

Lucy : Uhh, excuse me? Who in the world is Zash?

Erza : Oh yeah, I forgot. I have his ring that took from him. Must've snooping around when we were meddling at Kingdom of Stella's bar.

Lucy : Oh...I get it. You win some, you lose some. Eh, it was totally a shot since you have that ring.

Zash Caine : Hey! I would like to have my ring back, please.

Erza : Ehh, okay. Here. (gives Zash's ring back to him)

Zash Caine : And I never want to see you meddling at Kingdom of Stella's bar again! (leaves) Meddling brats.

Lucy : What a jerk. (to Nastsu) What did you know about the Dragon's Cry artifact?

Natsu : Oh, yeah...about that. Let's just about one thing about the Dragon's Cry. (sighs) The Dragon's Cry artificat we were looking for, is just a ribbon.

Lucy : You mean we went all for that life-threatening adventure in the movie, that nearly costs us all of our lives for a ONE LOUSY RIBBON!?!

Natsu : Well, yes. Actually, this is a girl's ribbon. The Dragon Cry artifact is just a ribbon for Sonya.

Gray : Now I truly understand what this movie is about, it's all about stopping some baddie wanted to use a girl's hair ribbon to destroy the world with magic. How's that surprisingly good?

Sonya : So, can I please have my ribbon back now.

(the gang looks at each other)

Natsu : (Sighs) Fine, you earned it. Here's your ribbon back, Sonya. Hope you have it useful.

Sonya : Thank you.

Natsu : Now that we finally finished the movie, let's just continue to the final arc and just chill out on our pads.

Gray : Great to hear.

Erza : Not so fast, for the damages that Zash Caine caused during the final battle against him, I suggest that I would need some girls that we're needed to pay up.

Lucy : [thinking] *ding* I have a better idea.

Natsu : This is not what I have to be expected to pay all of this. Making up the money to pay all the damages I caused, no idea how this was gonna turn out.

Gray : Don't get me started on this one, bro. We are totally comfortable in our selves.

Lucy : Come on, guys. Lighten up. I'm sorry that I had to make you clean up the damages that you caused. But this is what you really need to do, helping us by making lots of cash!

Natsu : Worst experience in my life ever.

Gray : Totally.

Happy : It's so thoughtful that we definitely agree that our movie was a hit wonder. Also, the belly dancer outfit Lucy was wearing is now viral on the internet and they're making some dirty adult stuff like NSFW all over the web.

Natsu : What?

Happy : Yep. I just had no idea that this outfit she wore in the movie would be so fan-favorite that wants fanservice in a movie. I didn't even recognize that Mashima wanted the fanservice in the movie. They pictured her booty up in 3D.

Natsu : I have no idea what that means.

(Iris out)

i decided to post it here anyway

I think I was looking at dialogue prompts somewhere long ago and had come across “So tell me, what was it like to die?” and I believe that was the motivator for this particular chapter.

Rating: T? Nothing too crazy, really, unless you don’t like to read about someone getting shot a time or two. Nothing graphic.

*This takes place before Gray and Juvia entered into a relationship*

Gray squinted as his eyes opened, the bright, fluorescent lights flooding his pupils painfully. Why the hell were the lights so bright? Where was he? And why was he feeling so relaxed? That was… rare.

His eyes finally adjusted after blinking for about a minute and he realized he was in a hospital room, hooked up to all sorts of machines. The door opened and in stepped a woman with long, indigo hair. She was checking a clipboard when she looked up and saw him staring at her.

“Oh! You’re awake,” she said, brown eyes brightening. She hurried over to the bed and began checking his heart rate and blood pressure. “My name’s Wendy Marvell. I’ll go and get your friends.” Before Gray could ask anything, she was gone.

When the door opened again, he saw Natsu. He looked exhausted; dark bags under his eyes, his pink hair was a scraggly mess, and his right arm was in a sling. He looked flat out awful, and Gray tried to tell him so, but his mouth was incredibly dry. He saw a cup of ice chips at his bedside and popped a few in his mouth.

“What the hell happened to you?” Gray tried, and his voice sounded weaker than he would have liked. Instead of an argument, Natsu shrugged.

“No sleep.”

“No sleep? Since when do you have a problem sleeping?” Natsu was silent, and when he reached the bed, he promptly slugged Gray in the jaw. Hard.

“What the fuck?” Gray shouted. He made to sit up more, but groaned loudly as pain shot through his side and fell back again. He raised a hand to rub at his jaw.

“That’s for being a fucking idiot,” Natsu said through clenched teeth. Gray stared at him with furrowed brows. He wracked his brain in hopes of remembering what happened on yesterday’s mission but, unfortunately, his mind was foggy and a headache was surfacing. Natsu seemed to relax after a moment, exhaustion catching up with him. He slouched in a chair next to the hospital bed with a heavy sigh. He propped his left elbow on the arm rest and held his head up with his hand. Gray decided to stop thinking about what may have happened on the mission, wanting to avoid any further strain on himself.

“Where’s Juvia?” The blunette surely had to be here. At least, that’s what he hoped.

“I made her get something to eat. She’s gonna kill me when she finds out she was gone when you woke up.” So she wasn’t eating much. Must mean he’s been here a while, which explained how tired Natsu looked. It was just like the two of them to worry too much, but he’d have been the same way if either of them were in his position.

“So,” Natsu began, and Gray looked over at him again, “tell me, what was it like to die?”

Gray’s eyes widened and his brows furrowed.

“What… what are you talking about?” This time Natsu looked confused. He sat up a little straighter.

“You mean you don’t remember?” Though, if he died like Natsu mentioned, would it really be something he’d remember? Even so, he sighed and rest his head back against the pillow, closing his eyes and trying his damndest to remember. Slowly, bits and pieces began fading into his consciousness until it all came together.

Three days ago

“Natsu!” Gray shouted as he watched his comrade drop his gun and grab his right arm with a pained outcry. Juvia came from behind him and took out the man ready to take another shot at the pink haired agent.

“I’m fine,” Natsu said through grit teeth. “Just go after the letters!”

Gray watched him for a moment, then glanced to the direction the group was heading.

“Yeah, sure. Just… don’t die on me,” he muttered, then hurried off with Juvia, who was tucking something into her pocket.

“Medical evac is on their way. If Natsu stays where he is and doesn’t get into anymore trouble, he’ll be fine,” Juvia said as they entered a rundown building. Gray scoffed as he looked around.

“Natsu staying out of trouble? Right.” He glanced over at Juvia and his features softened at the worried look on her face, no matter how hard she tried to mask it. “Hey, he’s gonna be fine. It was just a shot to the arm. It didn’t look too bad from what I saw.”

“Right,” she said with a single nod, and he could tell she relaxed a little. “But he’ll be following us. He’s not going to stop fighting until the mission’s over.”

“He’s already right outside the building, waiting for us to go in further before he follows,” Gray muttered. He would normally turn and yell at Natsu for not staying behind, but it would be futile and only succeed in causing a scene and giving away their position to any potential threat.

As they advanced further within the shoddy structure as quietly as they could, Gray saw Juvia looking around their surroundings, a furrow to her brow.

“This place looks like it’s about to collapse any moment.”

“Wouldn’t be surprised if it did. The wind isn’t being too kind to it right now, either, so we need to get the letters and get the hell out of here,” Gray said. Juvia nodded, tightening her grip on her gun.

A shot rang out, a bullet burying itself in a nearby wooden pillar near the duo. Without hesitation, Juvia turned to the direction from which it came and fired a few rounds. Gray caught sight of movement through a collapsing archway that had been held up by said pillar. They truly did mean to tear this building apart as a way to get away.

The structures around them began to fall, and Gray made a beeline for the archway.

“Gray, what are you doing?!” Natsu shouted, making himself known.

“They’re right through there! If we don’t go in now, we’ll lose ‘em!”

“Gray, no!”

But the calls of his comrades went ignored as he reached the crumbling archway. As it fell, he only had one chance of sliding through on the ground at the risk of being crushed, but made it to the other side just in the nick of time. He heard Juvia call out for him again as he pulled himself off the ground, but continued onward in pursuit of the assailant that likely holds the letters containing information on the whereabouts of the agency’s target, Zash Caine.

Gray chased the man through the building, shooting when he thought he could incapacitate the man, but never quite hitting his target, much to his own frustration. Eventually, the man ran out of the building, and Gray followed. Finally, he got a clear shot and took the man down. He searched the man’s pockets and finally found a small stack of opened envelopes. Triumph coursed through his veins alongside the adrenaline, but he made the grave mistake of letting his guard down, which made him an easy target for another man to take a shot at him.

And his mark was not missed.

With a loud cry, Gray fell to the ground, hands clutching at his side where the bullet passed through him. His heartbeat pounded in his ears, and he only just registered the anguished scream of his name. Another shot rang through the air, and Gray braced himself for impact, but it never came. He wondered if it was Natsu or Juvia taking out the man who shot him.

“Gray! Gray!” The voice sounded so distant - so quiet. How far away were they? Who was calling for him?

Blue entered his vision, and despite how it was blurring, his mind filled in the spots and he saw Juvia, tears falling from her eyes and mouth moving as she supposedly called out for him.

Juvia.

She was so beautiful. So kind and loving and smart and so damn amazing at her job, and -

He loved her.

But he couldn’t tell her. He couldn’t breathe. He could hardly see.

He was losing her, and was helpless to do anything about it.

“The look on your face tells me you remember something.” Gray blinked, dry eyes burning. He didn’t know what to say, so Natsu continued. “It’s a damn good think Juvia called medical evac when she did after I got shot. Had it been called when we saw you get hit… well, you would be long gone.”

“So, for three days, Juvia and I have been here, waiting for you to wake up. Erza was in for a while, but had to get back. I’ll have to contact her soon.” At his boss’s name being spoken, Gray flinched.

“Erza -”

“Oh, she’s pissed. You’re suspended indefinitely.” Gray sighed. Figured, he thought. Natsu shook his head. “What you did was perhaps the worst thing you could have done. Reinforcements were coming, Gray.”

“There may not have been time. I did what I had to do. It’s our job. Those letters contained critical information about where to find -”

“And what if they had killed you and you stayed dead? Or they captured you? Then we’d have been down an agent and the letters! We fucking watched you die, man! We were right there!”

Gray clenched his jaw. He registered the look on Juvia’s face as she watched him fall, broken and in disbelief, as though she were begging with her eyes for it to be a dream; a horrid nightmare that she would wake from in any second.

“We got the letters, and that’s all that matters.” Natsu slammed his fist against the arm of the chair.

“But dammit, Gray, at what cost?!”

Just then, the door to his room opened, and in stepped Juvia. Her hair was pulled into a high ponytail, and she looked even more worn out than Natsu. Still, she looked so beautiful and Gray found it hard to breathe once more. She was there.

“Juvia ate a yogurt. Is that good enou -” The blunette looked up and met Gray’s eyes. Her own widened, and quickly shimmered with tears.

Next thing Gray knew, he was being wrapped tightly in her arms, and he felt tears fall to his bare shoulder. He was quick to wrap his arms around her in return, but shortly after, Juvia pulled back, and swiftly slapped him across the cheek. Gray began to shout, but realized soon enough that he most certainly deserved the hit. Her brows, drawn in anger, softened as the tears came again and she grabbed him in yet another hug.

“Don’t you ever do something so horribly stupid like that again,” she muttered into his neck. “Juvia will kill you.”

Gray wanted to remark with something snarky in an attempt to lighten the mood, but he couldn’t find it in him to do so. He couldn’t even bring himself to speak. Instead, he held her close, as though she’d disappear if he let go.

What was it like to die?

It was awful.

The looks on their faces were so terrifyingly haunting, and it was finally hitting him that he’d have never gotten the chance to hold Juvia again. He’d never tell her how he felt, and there would be no future for them.

He didn’t want to die - he wanted to continue living - for everyone. And he’d make sure he wouldn’t fuck up this second chance.

Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry Thoughts

the time has finally come to give my thoughts on the movie Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry, and alot of you might be wondering what my thoughts are on the movie.. Well let’s go ahead and dive straight into the canon material that connects this movie to the manga specifically between The Avatar Arc and The Alvarez Arc. 

Without going into any spoilers the premise of the movie revolves around The “Dragon Cry” a magical artifact that was forged around the era of when the Dragon died and remained deep within Domus Flau beneath the Grand Magic Games until it was stolen by the traitor, Zash Caine and given to King Animus with the help of his aid, Sonya. Which is where Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza, Wendy, Happy, and Carla are are asked by Toma Fiore to retrieve the staff before the world plunges into chaos.  To say the very least Zasch, Sonya, and Animus all have different motives when it comes to Dragon Cry, and it is pretty interesting to see how it unfolds. I will say of the new characters introduced Sonya was definitely the more intriguing one from the bunch. The way this movie connects into the canon is rather unique in some ways, and leave me wondering about how the anime will be handled whenever it does make it’s return this year. Aside from that, that is overall premise when it comes to Fairy Tail Dragon Cry, pretty simple not overly complex and that’s not a bad thing it actually does work in it’s favor to be perfectly honest. 

Overall, Fairy Tail Dragon gets a Good+ rating because while the plot is relatively simple  the animation is just gorgeous to look along with the voiceacting and the music is just spot on, but in terms of the criticism there are a couple things, 1. the fanservice bits can be distracting at times, and 2. the pacing can move a little too fast depending on your perspective. All in all that’s pretty all I got say when it comes to Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry.

Okay, so I don't know why I'm making this post like over two months after the fact, but I'm gonna.

So I was fortunate enough to go see FT: Dragon Cry in theaters. I was incredibly fortunate to have gone to see it with my soul sister @sirdragneel whom I was able to fly out here to Cali for a weekend in order to hang out and see the movie together. The movie of course was great, and we loved the experience except for ONE teeny bit of it in a scene that involved Zash Caine and Natsu (it was more a nitpicky pet peeve moment for us than anything else and it's kind of a running joke with us now), but that's not what I'm here to say.

As soon as the credits started up and the music started playing when the movie was over, a guy in our row bolted to his feet and yelled, "HELL YEAH; THAT'S THE MOVIE I CAME TO SEE!!" and people around us started whooping and cheering and going like "Yeaaaah!" (There was actually lots of cheering in that theater. When the nostalgic OST from the first anime series started playing? Every time a scene from the trailers popped up? That moment when Natsu went half-dragon? When Lucy embraced Natsu in her arms after he made sure he didn't scare her with his dragonization? Magical moments indeed; it was so great.)

But yeah that was the highlight of that movie viewing and I am so grateful to have gotten that opportunity.

And sis, you made it all the better with your commentary throughout, even if it did make me miss some important lines of dialogue. XD You're the greatest and I'm so glad I got to watch the movie with you! ♡

*facepalm* I know the Royal Family doesn't have a good track record, but leaving a weapon of mass destruction "out in the open" is a pretty damn stupid move, even for them. Not everyone might know how to get down to the dragons' graveyard, but I don't think the place was guarded.... :P

If you liked Dragon Cry, great. As for me, I'm reading the summary and shaking my head a lot... Especially when I read this bit.

"stopping Zash from using Lucy Heartfilia as a blood sacrifice for his magic" >.> Lucy always ends up in shit like this. And people wonder why I like Erza so much better. Erza found herself in a situation like this two times, to my memory. Once with Jellal trying to use her as a sacrifice, and the other when Crawford spirited her away to Tartaros's base, to be tortured for Jellal's location. Lucy, on the other hand, has this tendency to get kidnapped or to need saving.

A lot of people dig that scenario, apparently. Probably because it shows that Natsu "cares" enough about her to save her again and again. If that appeals to you, great. From my perspective, though, Natsu saves anyone that he can, even tries to save his enemies; so it's natural that he would keep saving Lucy - because she keeps winding up in such situations.

I like Erza because she wrecks that damsel-in-distress stereotype, very rarely needing it. That's just my tastes. Does she have the opposite problem of "winning all the time"? Maybe. But I will take Erza over Lucy any day. >.>

Now that my curiosity about Dragon Cry has been sated, time to go back to ignoring its existence~. Just like OVA 9~.

[Update] FAIRY TAIL - DRAGON CRY - new cast reveal!!

“With Fairy Tail -DC- movie, I’ll be voicing the role as Animus. I'd never played this kind of role before, but I’m really glad and looking forward to it! Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu!”

Furukawa Makoto (known for voicing Saitama from One-Punch Man) will voiced King Animus, the king of Stella kingdom.

Yuuki Aoi (known for voicing Asui Tsuyu from Boku no Hero Academia & Diane from Nanatsu no Tazai) will voiced Sonya, an aide to King Animus.

And Saito Jiro (known for voicing Toppo from Dragon Ball Super) will voiced Zash Caine, the minister of state of Stella Kingdom.

Anyway, I hope you guys like this mini update of them revealing the new cast.  

Now, I have something to look forward to besides it’s a Fairy Tail movie, but it’s because Makonyan (my current fave seiyuu) will voiced King Animus (๑°꒵°๑)･*♡

So I just rewatched Dragon Cry and it took the second watch-through for me to realize that Zash is rockin’ a pornstache. Seriously, look at that facial hair! Though, given how he treats women in the movie and his views on them, adding the idea of porn seems eerily fitting.
