ZamZam 10 - Disciples - Freedom Fighter/Dub Fighter

I have found myself digging through the reggae and dub crates again and have picked myself up some lovely new bits for the summer including this superb 7" from the legendary 'Disciples' on the very exciting new 'Zam Zam Sounds' label from Portland USA.

I always like to purchase records where it is obvious the work has been put in, not only by the recording artist/producer but also by the label in terms of mastering, presentation and artwork. Zam Zam Sounds have really gone all out with their wonderful run of very fresh dub music, on excellent pressings, with beautifully hand crafted artwork and sleeves.

'Freedom Fighter' is yet another classic Disciples production, Russ D's slick work on the board and use of space and reverb within his mixes really is a joy to the ears. The melodies of the melodica making this one perfect for the hot summer days of late. On the flip is a ruff tuff dubwise version, replacing the melodica for more percussive elements and effects. Both sides absolute fiyahhh, guaranteed to mash up any dance...

Limited to 500 copies I managed to bag one last week and there are still a few copies left on the internet, but you have to look! Get one quick!
