you're so right about woundworts wasted potential, there was so much like actual humanity to his character in literally every episode except for the ending ones. I especially thought it was weird how they had this set up with woundwort aiming to be liked by the rabbits he ruled like in redstone (I may have misinterpreted this part) it felt like he actually cared for a moment and then everything is just lost immediately?!

I was really optimistic because it was a new side to his character that hadn't really been seen in the other episodes so I was excited to see him under his new identity but nope

and granite and spartina are a whole other issue in my head with their characters both feeling poorly done to me, but they were ABSOLUTELY contributing more than campion

I wish they like actually did stuff about Bigwig acknowledging Hannah as a useful member of the team I swear they did that song and dance like 3 times

AND YEAH THE BLACK RABBIT COMING DOWN AND SUCKING WOUNDWORTS ARMY INTO A HURRICANE OF DEATH WAS ACTUALLY WEIRD

Hazel also felt so out of character man idk if it was just me but like, there was no usage of El Ahrairah's stories, there were no tricks??? it would've made sense if they used tricks to defeat Woundwort but they just charged into it? no tricks were really used that actually did anything which feels really out of character for hazel to me. ALSO HE JUST? LET?? BIGWIG FIGHT WOUNDWORT?? that was actually really crazy to me

every time something happened I thought that was the end of it and every time it just kept going LMAO

"The Great Game" is such a wild episode. It’s mostly comedic and intended as such but there’s so much fucked up shit in there too. The gang spends the episode acting out a myth for the explicit purpose of gaslighting Vervain. Campion gets tortured. Hazel's immediate response is to say "we have to completely destroy Vervain's credibility and sanity." Hannah the mouse pretends to be a wizard. Hawkbit pretends to be a messenger of God. Vervain believes both of these things. The stakes are life and death. Hannah wears a flower as a hat. Need I say again that Campion spent two months getting tortured. There's the intense secondhand embarrassment of Vervain trying to show General freaking Woundwort various magic tricks. Vervain is deemed insane, loses his job, and is arrested and enslaved. Everyone finds this hilarious. Hazel and Primrose propose to Campion but Campion is too hung up on his toxic boss situationship to accept. Ok to be fair that last one isn't exactly how it happens but it's the vibes I get from it. This episode is a joke. This episode is horrifically fucked up. This episode is hilarious. This episode is making me crazy.
