{Vergil x reader} I will always be there...

|I have this idea swimming in my head for Vergil from DMC all day and thought heck why not write it. Also if you are new to fanfiction we sometimes said fuck cannon and rewrite the story. I may not be very good but Tumblr tells me to go for it and if it fails just try again|

{The idea is like Lucrecia mixed with Steven's universe mom. Where She is still alive but in another person}

[I do write in a female pov I am sorry but feel free to change the Pronouns for your liking. I do use a name for my writing it just helps me be I will have a (y/n) beside it so you can change the name to whatever you like Of course, I don't own any of these characters that I am about to write about/with. This is my first attempt at writing for Vergil hope it turns out ok]

The night was cold and wet but there was a strange calmness to it. A woman rocked herself back and forth in a rocking chair rubbing her belly smiling but behind the smile was sadness. She know when her son was born that she could not be with him. All the book on witchcraft was no help either. She wanted to see her son grow up but knew that this form of her couldn't she had to find a way to somehow become someone else but how?

-----Time skip-----

Nero walked around the destroyed town thinking no one was alive when he hear a sheep cry for help then a loud scream of anger or frustration he couldn't tell. He did however could tell where it was coming from of course he had to check it out. He ran as fast as he could to see humans fighting multiple demons while one was hiding behind a broken wall. He Jumped down to help. With Nero's help, they made quick work of the demons. He approached one of the females that seem to be the leader of this little group.

"Is everyone okay?" Nero ask looking around for anyone that was injured.

"Nope I think we're all good" The female helped up on her fellow group members "Whatcha name kid?" She asked Nero

"Nero and yours?" He questions

"I'm Serah, that is Alistro" Points to a guy with a red ponytail, "Abby and her brother Tera their mother thought she was having twin girls" Serah points to a guy with short cut hair that was jet black helping up Abby his sister which he couldn't tell if it was abby or tera. "and that" She looks around "guys where (y/n) Raven?" Serah was looking around for this said, person.

"I'm here" (y/n) Raven said coming out from the broken wall. "exactly where you left me (your pn)" (y/n) Raven Said sheeple.

Serah walks over to (your pn) them and hugs them tightly "This is my baby (sister/brother/PN) (y/n) Raven. I don't know what so special about her that makes every demon drawn to her"

"Maybe she (Your PN) is an Angel!!" Alastor said happily

"Maybe or maybe She (your Pn) is something else?" Tera question

"Whatever she (Your PN) is she still my baby sis nothing going to change that" Serah smiled at (y/n) Raven.

Nero looks at (y/n) Raven seeing a scared girl. (y/n) Raven was playing with her hair timidly not really saying a word to anyone.

"she (Y/PN) is naturally shy so when she (Y/PN) does talk we all try to be supportive and not downing her (Y/PN)" She said looking over at another person in the group Nero has not met yet.

"why are you looking at me for?" he said while cleaning his blade

"That Zack or Zachariah he goes by Zack cause he hates Zachariah" Serah chuckles

"Why do you have to do me like that?" Zack asks frowning at Serah

"Because if you had not put (y/n) Raven down then we all would have been comfortable in a bed by now but no Zack knows everything" Serah scold Zack

"Okay fair that was my bad for losing my temper and taking it out on (y/n) Raven but she should not have run off!" Zack rise his voice almost yelling at Serah which made (y/n) Raven cover her ears Shaking. (y/n) Raven close (y/Pn) she closed her eyes and was taking deep breaths. She (y/Pn) tried to calm herself down.

Serah stop arguing with Zack knowing it was not going anywhere. "we have to move it getting dark and you know how the temperature downs around here" She said holding (y/n) Raven close to her.

Nero agreed and followed them to their hideout. Tera and Abby went to their shared room and stay in there for the rest of the night. Zack headed to the room that he shared with Alastor who just so happens to be brothers Alastor is older by a day. Serah got some food for her, Nero, and (y/n) Raven to eat. While they ate Serah pulled out a syringe filled with a blueish liquid. She injected it into (y/n) Raven's arm which made Raven's (y/n) eyes grow for a short second and then stopped. After they ate Serah lay(y/n) down for bed and tugged her in. Raven (y/n) went right to sleep before Serah could even leave the room. Serah walk out to Nero who was confused about what just happened with the liquid and Raven (y/n).

"you have a question and I have answers," Serah said sitting down grabbing a beer.

"Why did you inject that liquid into her and why did her eyes glow for a short second" Nero questioned

"Well me and the rest of the people here are lab rats. Doctors had their "agents" come and kidnap us from our homes which were orphanages and great places for lab rats cause no one would come looking for them. I and (y/n) Raven were sisters even then people picked on her for no reason she stay to herself and didn't bother anyone. I watched her once play fairy princess once all by herself. She was even now so pure for this fucked up world we lived in that is why I started standing up for her. She needs someone who always had her back. I and (y/n) Raven were walking back to the orphanage cause it was our turn to go buy candy and toys with the money we saved up for doing our chores in the orphanage. That is when they grab us. They separated us it was torture. I could hear (y/n) Raven's screams from where I was in that building. They fucked her up the worst I don't know what they did but it fucked her up. We were 18 when we all escape that lab. but we all were changed for the worst or for the better I don't know but we promised each other we would stay together no matter what. only us lab rats know how to put each other down" Serah said finally taking a sip of her beer.

Nero's mouth hangs open in shock at the story. He did not know what to say. What could you say to a story like that? Nero hears the pitter-patter of bare feet on the tile floor. He looks up to see (y/n) Raven in the doorway of the hallway.

"(y/n) I thought you were asleep already," Serah said confused

(Y/N) Raven walks past Serah and sits in front of Nero. Her eyes widen in awe. "It's...actually you," She said in a somewhat whisper.

Nero was taken aback by the comment and the way her voice sounded. It was (y/n) Raven but wasn't. There was another voice behind (y/n) Raven's voice. She touches his cheek and smiles. "It's really you" Tears fall down her cheek. Somehow (y/n) Raven's touch did not feel like her own. Nero was stunned by (y/n) Raven's actions. "right I look different, sound different and you've never seen me except when you were a little baby" (y/n) Raven said happily

"Who are you and what did u do to my sister?" Serah asks angrily

"She fine Serah she is asleep in a safe place for the time being. My name is not important." The "ghost" that harbors (Y/n) Raven's body Smiles. "My little boy is all grown up into a man now"

"Wait are you saying your my mother!?" Nero asks almost shouting

"yes, I had to...well fall into a deep slumber for you to live on but I found a way to be here to see you and watch you from far away" The "ghost," Said with sadness "I wanted to be there and help you grow up but my physical form could not bear it."

"wait then how are you-" Before Serah finishes her sentence the "ghost" hold up a finger to shush Serah.

"When (y/n) Raven was in that lab she was close to death. She was calling for help. The poor child was scared alone and was about to die so I stepped in to keep her safe. That is why she started to be the scientist's favorite" The "ghost" said

The "ghost" touched Nero's cheek smiling "I am sorry I left you alone in this cruel world" With those words (y/n) Raven's body fell right in Nero's arms. Of course, Nero caught (y/n) Raven's body so it did not hit the floor. (y/n) Raven's eyes flutter open and she leans up looking around. "wasn't I in bed?" She questions

"Yeah well umm see here the thing I think you got possessed by Nero's mother," Serah said with confusion trying to figure out what just happen.

" Um yeah, do u remember anything before you came out here?" Nero asks (y/n) Raven

"I just remember the nightmare that I had which is the same one every night. I was back at the hospital or Alsyum whatever you want to call that place." (y/n) Raven said while thinking

They all seat there in awkward silence for a bit. All three of them processed what happened. Not one could figure out why Nero's mother want to come to him now of all times. All three of them just went straight to bed without another word. (y/n) Raven was the one that could not fall asleep something was bothering her. She felt like she is not alone in her own body. She felt like someone was watching her using her own two eyes. She was scared of her own being. She had to figure out what going on with her. Why Serah and Nero said that Nero's mother came to him through Raven. The only person Raven knew to go find an answer or at least start asking questions was a Gypsy woman known as Alamina Pettigrove. So Raven pack a supply bag and some weapons and set off on her journey. Raven was scared of what answer she would find but was ready to face it.

--Morning--

Serah woke up before everyone else. She usually was the one to wake up first to get breakfast started for everyone in the household. She did not wake Raven due to she wanted her little sister to get some sleep. She walk into the kitchen and made coffee. While that brew she started getting out the tools and food she needed for breakfast. The smell of brewed coffee started waking Serah up a bit which help with getting breakfast done. The first one to wake was Zack then Nero. They sat at the table and talked while Serah was making the food. Nero told Zack about what happened last night with Raven. Which confused Zack too. Abby and Tera came into the kitchen and sat with the other two. They got filled in on what happened last night as well. Alastor came in right before they started talking about last night. Serah set out the food and pour everyone a cup of coffee and took her seat. Serah made her plate then made Raven's plate. She yelled for Raven to come to get breakfast which usually woke her up When Raven did not appear after a few seconds or even the second time Serah yell for her, that was when Serah's stomach flipped. She got up and went into their shared room. She turn on the light and went to Raven's bed which looked like Raven was in bed but when the cover where pulled back to reveal a pillow in place of Raven she knew something was up. She ran back to the Kitchen where everyone was.

"Raven is missing," Serah said

"Are you sure she didn't sneak into Alastor's bed and got comfortable with him" Zack Joked

"I am sure Zack!" Serah said angrily giving him the death stare.

"oh, your serious she actually missing?" Tera said in shock"She could be in her usual hiding-" Serah cut off Tera "I am sure you know she would not use a pillow to hide the fact she is not in bed when she goes there"

"I have a bad feeling about this let's get ready and head out maybe stop by those gypsy sisters. They might know something or saw her?" Abby said getting up to go get ready.

Everyone but Nero left the kitchen and got ready. Nero made a quick to a friend of his for a ride they could all use so they didn't have to go on foot. Nico arrive shortly after the call Nero place to her.

"Well isn't it my favorite asshole" Nico chuckled seeing Nero come out of the hideout he was in.

"Nice to see you too Nico," Nero said

Serah and her group came out behind Nero. "Meet some new friends of mine Nico. Their leader Serah, The two trouble makers Abby and Tera both twins, Zach also known as Zachariah, and his brother Alastor the jester and the jokers." Nero smiles at the group, Serrah like the introduction Nero gave.

"Can people not use Zachariah please I hate that name" Zack said with a bitter tone

Nero opens the door to the van "Why not it funny when you get mad" Alastor said getting into the van. Zach shakes his has and follows his brother into the Van. Abby got in behind Zach and Tera follow suit. Serah took a deep breath and got into the van. All she thinks about is the bad things that could happen to Raven. Serah grabs her necklace and rubs it. Nero got in the passager seat and they seat off.

--Hours before--

Raven walks up to the Gypsy caravan door. She was about to knock when they open the door. "Welcome Raven we've been expecting you for quite some time now." they chuckle.

Raven gulped "You have?" she question

"Oh yes we know that you question who you are" They smile and move to the side to the side to let her in. She went into the caravan and sat on the plush couch. "Now take a sip from this tea" They gave her a cup of tea which she took sips from. " you have a lot of hidden secrets inside you Raven," They said together.

Raven looks at them confused "What do u mean" She took couple more sips from her tea.

"Well for starters you harbor two souls." They chuckle "One is yours and one is someone else's." They look at each other and then back at Raven. "The two souls are starting to come together to form one being."

Raven finishes her tea and set it on the coffee table. One of the sisters grabbed the cup and look at the leaves. "ooh this is some spicy tea" She chuckled "I wonder what he would think of this dear sister" She show her sister the tea leaves.

Raven's Vision start to become blurry. "what was in that tea?" she question as the room started to spin around her.

"oh nothing special." they smile as they Watch Raven trying to stand up. "but there is a mighty fine dollar on you Raven. So they came to us for help" They smiles. Raven reach for her phone to call for help but one of the sisters snatch it away before she could grab it. Raven fell to the floor.

"You sold me?"Raven said angrily as she started to fade in between consciousness.

"Sold is a harsh word but yes. They must find him so you important" Those were the final words Raven heard before she fell unconscious. Two men came in and carried Raven's body away. A nice well dress came in and handed the sister a suitcase of 100 dollars bills.

"Pleasure doing busy with you ladies," He said as he left. Back into a car with tinted black windows.

-hours later-

The group that trying to find Raven arrives at the gypsy sister caravan. Serah and Nero went to the door and went to knock but like before they open up the door before they could. "well well well isn't it Serah the brave knight of Raven." they said mocking her

"you already know why we are here where is my sister," Serah said pushing past the sister into their caravan.

"you just missed her an hour too late," they said turning towards Serah "She wanted an answer that we could not give her just yet so she went on a self-discovery journey" They gave Serah a piece of paper that was a map of sort on where her sister was going. "that should leave you to her. now go on we have other business to attend to the shud Serah out the door closing it and locking it. Both Nero and Serah went back to the van. Alastor ran up to them "Those sisters lie to you."

"What?" Serah said as they came to the van with Zack holding up Raven's supplies bag and phone. "an older gypsy told us that they were paid off by a good dress man." Zack said piss offed.

There were storms of rage in Serah's eyes. AS she spon on her heels and march back to the sister caravan. Nero was about to go after her but Zack stopped him. "She going to get an answer and will karma come to collect," Zack said as Serah punched open the sister's door yelling at them where her sister was.

-an hour later-

Everyone was in the van in silence. Serah still fuming from the gypsy betrayal. Abby was asleep using her brother's lap. She jerked away yelling out Raven's name. Which startled every in the van almost causing Nico to wreck the van.

"What's wrong Abby" Tera was trying to calm her

"I saw Raven she was being swallowed by the darkness she yell for help but I couldn't reach her," Abby said tears streaming down her cheeks.

Serah was mixed with fear and anger. Scared they weren't going make it to Raven in time. Nico and Nero had to make a stop somewhere. Which added another person to the group. {of course, it would not be a DMC fanfiction without} Dante Sparda's climbing into the back with the group which made Abby fan girl from hell. Serah would have if she wasn't so worried about her sister. They got back to driving filling Dante in on what had been happening. Of course, he shooked every one hand but not Serah she was focused on her sister. Once Dante shook Abby's hand she got a vision. Tera was trying to call his sister back and she came back shocked and breathing heavily. "I saw Raven with someone." That made Serah perk up "he had the same hair color as Dante but he was wearing a blue jacket he was shacking asking where someone was."

"well that sounded like my brother," Dante said thinking.

-time skip to the factory-

Nico slams on the brakes jerking everyone in the van. "There is a huge ass creator with a damage Factory in the middle of it."

Serah looks out the window "Let's get out and have a look around and see what we can find."

Every one climbed out and made it down safely into the creator. Dante and Serah were tasked to look into the damaged factory. "so you really care for your sister?" Dante asks Serah

"When I close my eyes I can still hear her scream my name out for help. I can still see the look of her giving up. I can still see her laying on her floor barely moving. I thought she was dead at times. I promised I would protect her whenever we got out of that hell hole. Thanks to the gypsy sister and my friends we all got out we never looked back since then. We were lab rats that know how to kill each other." Serah said looking around.

That hit Dante hard. He had no words to say to Serah after that. They search in silence for clues that Raven was there. They got to this big room with a platform and four pletal stood around it. Serah went onto the platform and dipped her finger in the blood and tasted it. "It's Raven's blood," she told Dante.

"look someone or something was chained over here" he called to her

They hear a gasp for air coming from under the rumble of the ceiling collapse. They started clearing the rumble way to see a barely alive man under the rumble. They got him out and started patching him up.

Abby came into the room to fetch Dante and Serah. She stopped right on the platform seeing the story of what happened there. Seeing the death the lies and the star. She came back from the vision and ran to Serah. "Raven was here but the person guy who that Dante said must be his Brother took her with him away from a dead beast that was absorbed by Raven."

"She absorbed the best?!?" Serah said

"Yes she did"

-Raven's pov- She awoke in a strange place her head ache. Her body ached and was sore. She lends up in bed looking around the dimly lit room trying to get her bearings. "awake I see" a familiar voice rings out in the room as she looked for the source. Her eyes fell on a person in the corner of the room. "who are you where am I. How did I-" he hold his hand stepping into the light. "You don't remember anything, Raven?"

"How did u-" Raven was cut off again "Lucrecia does that name ring a bell," he asked. Raven's eyes teared up as she covers her mouth. as she remembered what happened. She and Lucrecia had to become one to destroy the monster of the stars. Meaning Lucrecia was gone. "she was your lover Vergil wasn't she?" Raven looked at the man in front of her. He just shook his head yes. "I am sorry I could not save her I-"

Clerra hints in FF7 Rebirth so far

I have been wanting to continue writing more, but I was waiting for the script of Act 4 Chapter 7 Part 2 of DFFOO to release at dff.ooo, but that still hasn't happened...so I'll ignore it for now.

The demo footage from the Tokyo Game Show has arrived. I originally didn't expect anything, but it makes sense that the demo shows the flashback and Junon since they were shown in the trailers already.

Here's a list of general stuff followed by miscellaneous Clerra stuff (#7 is biggest):

Climbing is a part of this game.

You can swim in basically any source of water to reach islands.

Yuffie is recruited during the boss fight that involves Priscilla and it seems like the artificial respiration minigame will be done with Yuffie (?maybe?). They were playing it safe there I suppose.

A giant bird creature (i'll just call it "the condor") snatches one of the black cloaked figures. I feel there was always a hint that Zack should be snatched up by something bird-like and fall on some flowers thanks to what the WoFF DLC scene involving Serah showed (search it up on YouTube if you want) and the fact that the condor appeared before Zack's scene in Intergrade's ending (which is why I mention it). There is a little more information about birds and Shinra involving the "Fonadu" enemy. Also, Fort Condor is now an island (it's may be important for Clerra, but that's a long story).

Priscilla is similar to Rikku. In fact, I felt she was so similar that I can literally just say that my crazy theory has been proven right. Rikku is designed after Yuffie and Priscilla, which is why both of them are now involved in the same scene and already know each other. It may not seem important now, but if Rikku appears in DFFOO, it will be. Plus, it's "lore"...in a way. My original theory started with why the concept art of Priscilla looked similar to Rikku (specifically the hair) and why in X-2 Rikku says she once had a crush on someone which was never ever figured out to be anyone except one guy which couldn't possibly be (yes, it's actually Cloud, thanks Nomura).

Rhonda, the mayor for the town under Junon has clothing that is similar in composition to Terra. She has the pink cloak "scarf" around her neck, interesting earrings, a ponytail, and a piece of clothing wrapped around her waist mimicking Terra's sash. She has a tattoo on her left arm as well, but I didn't know what it was. I'd assume there'll be something involving her with this Clerra storyline in Cloud's timeline. The hair bangs of Tifa, Priscilla, and Yuffie are also similar...they may be imitating Cloud's hair in a way. This isn't a new thing since Terra's hair in Dissidia (2008) also imitates Cloud hair (it's very subtle, but you won't un-see it once you notice it and how it goes away in Dissidia NT). Another character will likely be Kyrie in Zack's timeline (and maybe Jessie again if she exists). Priscilla's hair and clothing look more like Terra's now.

The synergy attack with Cloud & Aerith ("Firework Blade") looks like Terra's "Riot Blade" attack from FF6 (three energy beams are shot from Cloud's sword)...however, the most important detail is extremely important. The attack has the 5-petal flower spammed into existence. This flower is always found on Terra's hints: the flowers on Miss Folia's shirt, a promotional Dissidia Arcade image with Cloud, Terra, and Onion Knight, on the New Year 2020 card with mouse Terra, and on Yuffie's clothing in Advent Children. I think this flower is one of the many 5-petaled ones on Terra's leggings.

So, it looks like Riot Blade, and it only has this specific flower involved in it...this is the most important Clerra clue so far, period, in anything. Sure, it could just be a five petaled flower because it's Aerith's attack, but the main difference is that it is MANY. The Yuffie flower hint is very old, btw.

Now, about Zack's timeline...

In Zack's timeline, Elmyra hints that the world may be "ending". The tornado that destroys and incapacitates the others in that timeline is involved in the end of FF7 with Meteor coming close. The case may be that Zack's timeline is Sephiroth winning.

With Sephiroth's words at the end of the trailer, this means that instead of "going to another world", he will bring two worlds together (FF6 and FF7's worlds). This is hinted at in Opera Omnia where worlds actually are merged into one ALL THE TIME, although Sephiroth mentions he wants to travel to other worlds. It could be that Terra (and maybe others) will just appear in the world, but it seems a bit silly to think of it like that...for now (it was one of my original joke theories from early 2020).

Many people were surprised by what Sephiroth said about the Reunion being "worlds merging" and the general assumption is that the timelines are the worlds, but no one is anticipating anything related to Clerra despite all the hints that have been ignored.

The thing is, following the pattern, Cloud in his timeline is with Aerith doing the "FF7 game story". It makes sense that Zack would be doing the opposite thing with Terra in the "FF6 game story" that Cloud is missing from (as he's the original main character of FF6 and Zack was the originally planned "personality" of Cloud for FF7 before they decided on FF6 Cloud and made a big mystery on who's "the real Cloud").

I know that's hard for anyone to believe, but I guess you'll see for yourself...

Still, I don't know WHEN Terra will appear, but it's completely possible it will happen in Rebirth as all the puzzle pieces are set with Zack's timeline along with DFFOO chapter 4 is building up something and the hints are getting too strong for them to continue the secret for four or so more years. Also that Terra statue will be shipped soon that costs as much as a car...obviously, that can't be ignored (will it ship November 2023? I remember it being that.)

Many people like to focus on Cloud, Zack, and Sephiroth (theorists especially), but don't seem to notice that the three are distinctly tied to Terra, Aerith, and Jenova.

Of course we've got the power couple Snerah, serah is one the popular beauty guru channels out there while Snow became a vlogger much later and all his videos feature him and the wife and their cat (who is also named snow).

Fanille, Fang isn't a vlogger since she has a job that defo wouldn't work out with being a youtuber. Vanille on the other hand has a DIY YouTube channel when it comes to making basic things in life. Like how to make your own laundry detergent, and longer lasting soap, and home-made toothpaste. Cuz fuck corporations and save the environment.

Outside of YouTube, prompto has a patreon for his photography which include different advanced techniques for photo stuff with different programs at different tiers.

Prompto isn't currently dating anyone but boy oh boy is he head over heels in love with Cindy Aurum.

AerTi are together and next to Fang and Vanille have been together the longest. Tifa runs a channel with dance choreography (since she's a part time dancer as an actual job) and she occasionally shows off her fighting abilities against Gladio or Fang (sometimes both) when it's the yearly Brawl of the Fittest.

Aerith runs a gardening and an overall nature aesthetic YouTube with her personal Spotify playlist that helps calm the nerves.

Aerith often collabs with Vanille because of similarities in their channels and also because they are both high key enviromentalists.

Ignis has a cooking channel (ofc he does) that has different tiers of difficulty. He usually does this on the weekends when the bros aren't filming their usual content.

He's currently dating Aranea (I'm a highspecs shipper sue me) and while Aranea isn't a youtuber, she's featured on his instagram story a lot and unwittingly gives him ideas for new recipes.

Rinoa and Selphie have a twitch channel called "Two Clueless Girls" in which they play a game neither of them have heard of and stream it on the weekends. They are the more recent couple that have gotten together.

Lightning isn't really a youtuber, but she's in everyones channel at some point because they all like to drag light out of her apartment and make her do things with them.

Of course her and her boyfriend Ravus are usually the victims of Zacks pranks and while they have tried to retaliate, Zack the Puppy remains diligent and three steps ahead of them.

Luna is also a youtuber and like Serah she's a beauty Guru type of youtuber with the occasional video ft her singing voice. She's currently dating Nyx (who has zero social media and hasn't really been seen in her videos so he's a total mystery and the fans are dying to know about him).

Okay so I may have gotten a little carried away with this ask but I'm just so fucking excited that someone asked about it okay?

Also I might have missed a ship or two and I'll remember them and probably add it to this post. At some point. Probably.

If all of your favorite shippings from different fandoms had a movie night together (yes, shippings, I think that's way more fun!), who would show up (there is no limit) and how would it play out?

Oh my gosh. This is a hard, but fun question. LOL. Though I’m worried the answer will end up more boring than you’re hoping for, but let’s hope not.

I’ll also probably only limit this to my top top ships, because I have way too many. Though there will still be a lot here! Also, let’s just assume that everyone will get along for some reason, even though some of them would have reason not to.

So, SoKai’s there (from Kingdom Hearts). Because of course they are. And while Sora and Kairi really are there to watch the movie--and cuddle, because they’ve earned it--Sora can’t help talking to everyone throughout and trying to get to know them, because he’s just a sociable person like that. And Kairi mostly joins in with that. But because of this, they probably have people telling them to shut up during it. Though RokuShi, Namiku, and probably NeShiki come to their defense.

Roxas and Xion (KH) are super into the movie, because they’re still kind of amazed at the existence of films in general. Since they were essentially babies in the Organization, who knew nothing about life. And while they know more now--like when Roxas had those false memories in the Virtual Twilight Town--they’re still amazed by the simple things.

Riku and Naminé (KH)... Naminé is drawing, of course. Probably things from the film. And Riku is by her side, just happy that she’s happy. But he (aside from Buffy) is probably the one person on edge, judging everyone because he doesn’t think some things are right about some of these people Lawlight.

Yes, Light and L (Death Note) are there... And they’re probably bored of the movie. It’s not clever enough for them. They’d much rather watch some murder investigation and try and figure it out--also, can I say what a miracle it is that L ventured out in the first place?--and this is when Riku begins to get uncomfortable and Buffy probably says something like, “Okay, if I hear one more thing about murder, some serious slayage is about to occur.”

So... Bangel (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). So, this is some happy-isa ending after Angel takes on Wolfram & Hart and doesn’t die. The curse is still a thing. But Buffy and Angel have decided to try and be together without it, since Buffy almost lost Angel. They’re happy to be together enjoying the movie, of course. And a lot of cuddling is happening. But not too much, because they can’t get too worked up. Because again: curse. Also, if they’re watching some crappy movie--which they probably are--Buffy pipes in every now and then to give the characters wittier lines than they actually had, and everyone actually appreciates her for that. Angel may also notice Naminé’s artwork, praise her for it, and begin drawing during the movie himself... He draws Buffy watching it, of course.

Jace and Clary from The Mortal Instruments. They’re doing more PDA than anyone... but still nothing too bad, that would anger most people. And Clary might have joined in on giving the characters better lines with Buffy. Buffy and Clary probably strike up a friendship. Jace is really the person annoying everyone during the film, because he can’t keep pointing out everyone’s stupid choices and the lack of logic... which is true, but come on my man.

Max and Logan from Dark Angel. So, bored with the movie--as I said above--L and Light begin trying to solve a case while everyone else is engrossed. Logan notices this and joins in as Eyes Only. He and L also become friends, when they realize how much they have in common... I want this to be a happy AU where Light isn’t Kira, or has been redeemed, but it’s probably not. And he’s now worrying that Logan could be a threat to him too, and probably plotting to kill him. Max somehow senses this and throws food at him, though she plays it subtle. Like, “Hey, stop making me waste good food to get you to stop glaring at my hubby.” Oh, and Max is making herself at home with all the food. Because our girl loves to eat, and to relax. She and L might get into a fight over the sweets, though. And our transgenic super-soldier girl would of course win.

Madoka and Homura from Madoka Magica. It’s probably at this point, that Homura also notices something is wrong with Light. And she wants to get Madoka away from this scene to protect her. Because of course she does. But Madoka turns her down. And for the most part, Homura will never do anything that Madoka doesn’t want her to do. Madoka probably is somewhere between bonding over drawing with Naminé and Angel, and asking if she can be friends with Buffy and Clary and try and say funny things, too. They agree, of course. So Homura is sandwiched between Madoka and all her new friends, and she really can’t complain about that at all.

Noctis and Luna from Final Fantasy XV are also snuggled together, and they write secret notes to each other during the whole thing. Because even though they’re now finally together in person, they’ve just sort of gotten used to communicating that way.

Zack and Aerith from Crisis Core are probably being disasters, who are trying to build a flower wagon while everyone else is watching a film. But, hey. That’s just them. Aerith also probably joins in on the ad-libbing the movie thing.

Meanwhile, Cloud and Tifa from Final Fantasy VII are really close to the screen--Cloud is in love with this movie--and Tifa is trying to help explain things to him. Why? Because On the Way to a Smile talks about how Cloud doesn’t even know some vegetables and fruits’ names, because he decided to try out for SOLDIER at a young age and then had his mind shattered because of Mako poisoning, trauma, etc. So... if they’re watching a movie about cooking or something, Cloud could seriously make a mistake like, “Oh, so they’re using sour cream for this baked good. I didn’t know you could do that. But I guess it makes sense.” Tifa - “No, Cloud. They’re using cream cheese.”

Neku and Shiki (The World Ends With You) are enjoying watching the movie close together. And Neku is quietly humming during a lot of the singing parts, which makes Shiki blush and her crush on Neku grow even stronger (he may even be singing to her). And no one cares, because Neku actually has a nice singing voice. During the film, Shiki might attempt to make clothes based on the main characters’ outfits, that everyone is then amazed by.

And maybe I’ll add Tidus and Yuna in from Final Fantasy X. Tidus is trying to convince Yuna to just have a good time with him and have fun watching the movie--and she wants to--but she also senses something is wrong. And is prepared to pull her pistols out to stop someone from doing someone heinous, or to perform a Sending if someone dies here... whichever comes first.

And what the heck, did I just write? LOL.

Some other pairings I love that weren’t featured here, because I didn’t know how to fit them in and this probably already has too many people: Zidane and Garnet from Final Fantasy IX, Percy and Annabeth from Percy Jackson, Will and Elizabeth from Pirates of the Caribbean, Raoul and Christine from Phantom of the Opera, Eren and Mikasa from Attack on Titan, Snow and Serah from Final Fantasy XIII, perhaps Clark and Lana from Smallville. And maybe even Yozora and Nameless Star from Verum Rex, even though them and Noctluna are cut from the same cloth, etc.:)

summer waxes poetically about her favorite aeris gainsborough ships:

i never reblogged that five ships meme because...well i don’t have five aeris ships i care about lol. however, i was challenged(tm) so here is something close to it. i do feel like it is fitting to make this post on here since aeris was actually the first muse i truly started writing a ship on after asking someone first ( and i had been writing on tumblr for like...5 years on and off before that for context. anything before that was just..maybe flirting - nothing i felt invested in ).

aeris & happiness.

   the most important ship. the OTP. no other can compare. i think the biggest tragedy of aeris’ death is that so much was taken from her. she had so much to live for, so much to do, and her life was brutally and suddenly ripped away when she was finally getting the chance to figure herself out and rise to her full potential. i don’t want to aeris to die in the remake ( especially because everything about the whispers would’ve felt like a waste of time if nothing significant changes and aeris living is probably as significant as you can get ) but if it happens, it happens - i’ll just be really sad and disappointed by it lol. i’ve always been very clear that aeris’ death is not a bad one despite my blog canon essentially retconning it. there’s a reason she dies and it’s not to further cloud’s man pain ( he had enough of his own trauma already ); she dies because she’s a legitimate threat to sephiroth’s plans. she’s actually an example of a character death, especially a female one, done incredibly well, especially compared to SE’s recent output ( serah, luna, etc. ). also anyone who says she was created just to die is also wrong. barret was originally written to die first and they decided to change it.

    anyway, the point of me bringing all of this up is that i didn’t decide to do away with her death because i think SE sucks and they hate women. i did away with it because a lot of aeris’ character development ( her learning about the cetra at cosmo canyon, figuring out what the white materia does, etc ) is implied / off-screen since we never know her point of view and then well...she dies. i wanted to explore what her feelings would be if she woke up alive after being attacked while meteor is slowly drawing closer to the planet. how would she handle that? how would she feel? would she feel like a failure? would she be angry? what would she do after meteor is destroyed? would she travel the world? join the w.r.o? tell everyone to fuck off and then move to a cottage in the middle of nowhere and live the rest of her life in peace? these are the questions i wanted answered when i thought about aeris living. i don’t care if she ends up with cloud, or zack, or whoever because they don’t matter: aeris matters. she’s her own person with goals, desires, wishes, and more. no one talks about what she would want and do if she had lived. all people care about is what ‘man’ she belongs to as if she’s a prize to be exchanged between them.

   the second reason is simple that she fucking deserves it. she deserves it after living in a lab for 7 years and watching her mother die just trying to get her out. she deserves after having to deal with being stalked by the same company responsible for a lot of her suffering. she deserves to finally be around friends that make her feel loved, accepted, and cared for. she deserves to not feel alone, or like an outcast, or a freak because of her powers. she deserves to be able to go to icicle inn too and see footage of her father for the first time. she deserves to be able to go back to kalm and see her mom again. she deserves to live happily just like everyone else gets to do. her life has been filled with so much tragedy and pain yet she never lets it define her. she blooms in the face of adversity. she keeps smiling even up until the end of her life. she deserves happiness as her end-game and if i don’t get it in canon, i’m going to create it here myself.

aeris & cloud.

    i disliked this ship for a long time. it actually wasn’t because of the ship itself but due to some of my experiences with the shippers. i won’t go into my fandom experiences but i ran an account dedicated to ti.fa for almost six years so i’ve seen how...unpretty both sides of the 'ship war’ can get and it turned me off. a lot. when i decided to write aeris, i immediately started a replay of the the original game with an ‘aeris-lens’ ( analyzing her character, her relationships, making sure i got her date, etc. ). it made me look at her relationship with cloud in a different light since i had never really paid attention to it as heavily before since i avoided the ship tbh. i ended up enjoying their dynamic a lot. they have a natural chemistry with each other but there’s also this unspoken distance between them which is fully intentional - she has her own walls up and he has his. 

    they have a very ‘tragic love’ since well...she dies before anything can fully go to the next level. their relationship in canon is a very ‘what if’ and as a result, i often see people who don’t like the ship claim that they wouldn’t work because aeris wouldn’t be able to ‘deal’ with cloud and would’ve left. to be blunt, this a bad take considering supporting one another is prevalent throughout their relationship: 

aeris: i learned a lot. the elders taught me many things. about the cetra... and the promised land... i'm...... alone... i'm all alone now... cloud: but i'm...... we're here for you, right? aeris: i know. i know, but... i am the only...... cetra. cloud: does that mean we can't help?

cloud: ...i gave the black materia to sephiroth...? wha... what did I do... tell me, aeris. aeris: cloud... be strong, ok? He writhes and clutches his head. cloud urrrrrrgh... what have I done!? aeris: cloud... you haven't done anything. it's not your fault.

cloud: yeah, I hear you. sorry for what happened. aeris: don't worry about it. cloud: ...i can't help it... aeris: oh... then, why don't you REALLY worry about it? and let me handle sephiroth. and cloud, you take care of yourself. so you don't have a breakdown, okay?

    the remake only reinforces everything i like about their relationship: their banter is great, aeris gently takes his hand during one of his ‘moments’ and supports him, she confides in him about talking to her flowers, and he never treats her differently ( which is a big deal when just two nights before, he told someone to ‘get help’ when they claimed they could hear the planet lol ). they have so much in common as well: they both have struggled with loneliness, being an outcast, and not having a lot of friends. i’ll always find it incredibly interesting how cloud is repeatedly not invited to be apart of group functions in the remake ( he wasn’t allowed to celebrate with avalanche and had to sit outside jessie’s house as the others ate pizza ) until he met aeris and she invited him to have dinner with her and her mom. despite the ‘bodyguard’ dynamic to their relationship, they always feel like equals to me.

aeris: today’s special!!! cloud: why? aeris: because i met you, you dumb binch!!!

aeris: *says cryptic stuff and tells him that they can’t fall in love* ( i’m saying they because apparently in japanese / other languages she says ‘we can’t fall in love’, not just ‘you can’t fall in love with me’. ) cloud: uh....how about i do anyway??? also i’m saving you so...see you tomorrow at 11. bye.

me: their relationship never gets to a serious level because the opportunity was taken away from them de to unfortunate circumstances. 

also me: they’re just just...dumb and in love!!!! i’m sorry, that’s just the way it is!!!! she literally tells him that meeting him again was special to her and the silly boi doesn’t get it!!!! one of the composers of the game even said a tracks that plays with them is meant to have a romantic vibe!! when she pulls away from him, he reaches out for her because he doesn’t want her to let go!! the lyrics of hollow is literally ‘this time i’ll never LET YOU GO’ AAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!

    anyway, i’ve also noticed this weird trend in the fandom where it feels like cloud is never allowed to just has his own dedicated feelings about aeris - and i’m not even talking about romantic feelings. i feel like whenever there is talk about cloud’s relationship with za.ck or ti.fa, no one inserts aeris into it. they’re allowed to have their individual relationships with him yet with aeris it feels like you cannot talk about how much she meant to him and vice versa without other characters being thrown in. i don’t know if it’s because of shipping and people don’t want to acknowledge that like...characters can have feelings for multiple people or what but the reality is that cloud did feel something for her. she did mean a lot to him; so much so that he slept in her church two years after she was dead and went to her burial place alone. he missed her.  maybe it was just as a friend, maybe it was because of something more but i really dislike how their relationship and importance to each other, regardless of whether it’s platonic or romantic, is constantly invalidated.

     when kas / @castershot first created channels for gene and aeris in our rp server last year, i honestly did not think these two would have a serious relationship at all. i figured maybe they would have a fling or something at best / aeris would be the equivalent of a filler character in a few episodes of the show and then they would go their separate ways. ...that didn’t happen but i’m glad it didn’t! i didn’t know a gosh diddly darn thing about outlaw star but i’m very good at researching and aggressively reading wikis so i was able to whip up a verse ( and someone who watched the show thought i had actually watched it after reading my verse so i guess i did a darn good job! ). anyway, i feel like when writing aeris it’s very easy to...hmm...fall into very certain dynamics and considering gene’s line of work ( doing odd jobs, being a bodyguard for hire, a general jack of all trades ), i didn’t want it to be the ‘he’s a bodyguard, she gets protected, blah blah blah’ dynamic but in space. so their relationship ( at least in my head - there’s a lot going on in there tbh!!! ) basically became somewhat of a deconstruction of cl.erith + ( bad ) stereotypes about aeris in general:

      what if the helpless flower girl that needs saving from the big bad corporation is actually a liar who works for said corporation and was sent by them to retrieve something important(tm) and eliminate anyone that gets in her way? what if aeris, a secret member of the turks, has become so desensitized when interacting with other people since she is constantly wearing a mask and she can’t tell if she’s genuinely falling for someone or if her acting is just so good that even she can’t tell what’s real or fake anymore? what if i took all those bad takes about aeris knowing she would die, flip it, and actually make it so that she does know and still goes alone anyway because she wants to save lives for once instead of being the person who takes them away!!

me: imagine the drama!!! the angst!!! kas, casually: [redacted name b/c of spoilers] would just bring her back to life. me: WHAT?! >:(

apparently one character in the show is casually just GOD and can revive people so they can come back like:

    my bubble was BURST. dreams DASHED. plans CRUSHED. dramatics aside, i still kept the idea of her dying because i do like the take of a more secretly jaded / not as ‘pure’ aeris that works for shinra and has to basically relearn how to trust / care about others again + i live to attack kas and all of her muses. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.  anyway, the point is that i love them and they’re a dynamic i’m very invested in the more times passes. they’re both so stupid and passionate and loud ( the first in character thing i wrote when i remade this blog was them screaming at each other in an argument ) but they’re also sensitive, don’t open up to others easily, and have trauma!! oof x 100.

me: this ship won’t be serious lol the ship, months later: may or may not have a thread with them going on a date. may or may not have gone to ti.fa and cloud’s wedding together ( where kissafist’s tif.a may or may not threaten to smash his balls in if he doesn’t treat aeris right. *smash em, rip em plays in the distance as aeris aggressively laughs nervously* ), they may or may not get married and have twins that may or may not be named ren and rose. me: clown putting on make up.png

I am, yes, in the sense I’d like to be comfortable friends with someone OOC before attempting shipping. I also must see that there’s chemistry between our muses before considering it.

In general, I actually can ship Deuce with quite a lot. She’s very shippable. When it comes to Type 0 specifically, of the more known ships, I actually do NOT ship A2. Like, on one hand, I can see why people think they’re cute, but on the other, they’re much more like siblings to me. Sign me tf up for 32, K2, 92 tho like MMMMMMM HEIGHT DIFFERENCE...

Crossover pairs? I’ve never had any come to mind because I’ve never written one. Who knows what the future holds?
