Bizarre Mr Beast icon channel YouTube spam

So I’ve stumbled upon this rather strange (likely) bot spam campaign on namely penguinz0’s videos in the replies of several of the top comment threads

I’ve only seen two so far but both of them have a profile icon that is the same as Mr. Beast’s and the names are nothing to scoff at either, just spam jargon.

But what really sets these bots apart has to be the rather nasty comment spam which is completely unrelated and just filled with nonsensical terms relating to very bad things

All of these two link to a discord link which I WILL NOT BE INVESTIGATING

Ok I need to make a post about this because it's seriously driving me insane, but I keep seeing comments like this in literally every comments section I see? They're obviously troll bots trying to get rage clicks, but the way they're phrased (Despite being different accounts) makes me think there's just the one person behind it?

I've seen the ville user before, but these other two are new. Anyone have any ideas as to what the hell is going on? This was on the latest Film Cooper video, but I see them on a bunch of different creators. Thankfully, no-one seems to reply to them.

If you see these guys, please report them, do not engage and don't click through to their channel. That's what they want.

Do a better job of removing spam 'bots and I'll consider being nicer to them, YouTube.

As an aside, does this pop up every time someone types a swear or makes a threat?  Or am I on a Special List™ because of some inflammatory comments I made back in 2006?  Just curious.

How the heck is there not more talk about Tanith Lee??

Like my gosh, the woman wrote, according to her wiki, 90 books, over 300 short stories, two World Fantasy Awards, and was the first woman to win the British Fantasy Award/Augus Derleth Award and wrote for tv shows.

Like, it's not like she just wrote a heck ton but wasn't very good! She was clearly very good she won awards, and i've read a swath of her stuff across different genres and really enjoyed most of it. I mean that even if not each one has been my cup of tea I can at least appreciate the skill and quite a lot I have truly enjoyed. She's got great prose and style and imagination. Not everything obviously was a banger, but they've all been at least well written, which is harder to come by in writing than you might think.

But nobody ever seems to talk about her?? And I feel like the fantasy crowd on here would really enjoy her stuff. The woman has done stuff in pretty much every genre from what I can see, but I never see her listed on fantasy authors like Clive Barker or Diana Wynne Jones or Neil Gaiman or Terry Pratchett or Diane Duane even though she was writing at the same time and has a similar sort of '80s Doing Cool Stuff with Fantasy vibe' I feel like people who like those authors would enjoy though she's very much her own style of author.

Anyway this was really just me putting out a rant that such a prolific and talented author seems to have fallen by the wayside and I think it's really a shame

Heck she even did a witch-queen fighting againt vampire Snow White a whole decade before Neil Gaiman did his phenomenal Snow Glass Apples and it's also excellent, give a look here:

This animatic is a snippet from @gentrychild ‘s fic Anyone!!! If you’ve been following the production, you’ll know that I’ve had quite a difficult run with this project, (The old files became unusable and I had to re-create it all in two days cause it’s technically one of my finals) but!!!!! I hear by declare it good enough!!!! I might do more with it later, but I’m not sure lol

Sound design and art is all by me, but y’all should definitely check out Gentrychild and their fics, literally all of them slap

Google very possibly is using youtuber's content to train generative ai. Hank Green did a very interesting video about it:

there's also a survey for youtubers and creators in the description. he is going to use this data in his talks with youtube

what he presents as a solution is simply an option to opt out. because there's an issue with youtube's tos that they interpret in their favour. this happened already with reddit where all the content posted by users is understood as the property of reddit. and they can sell their property to further clients like databases for generative ai
