I slouched across the room and flopped down into a blue beanbag chair. I gazed at the Farrah Fawcett poster on the wall above Greg's bed. I'd made the right choice during my questioning at Hell Night. If I had to pick only one of Charlie's Angels, yeah, she'd be the one. Beside her on the wall were posters featuring Barbie Benton, Brigitte Bardot, and that awesome one of Jacqueline Bisset from the movie The Deep. On the opposite wall, he'd taped a Sylvester Stallone poster from Rocky, and a Bruce Lee poster from Enter the Dragon, and a Tom Laughton poster from Billy Jack, and one of Charles Bronson from Death Wish. It interested me that Greg had arranged the female celebrities of sensual desire on one wall and the male celebrities of righteous anger on the other. All these idols gazed straight ahead out of their respective posters at the viewer. Because they were arranged across from one another, however, they appeared to be taking part in a big group staring contest, the muses of feminine beauty staring down the idols of masculine violence. Page 1. --- Ottawa, March 26. - Billy McCormick is 12 years old and dislikes hospitals, but he is back in a hospital cot to-day, apparently none the worse for a midnight adventure which alarmed his parents and nurses.

All alone, the lad slipped out of the hospital late Saturday night clad in his nightshirt and hitchhiked to his home, two miles away. The temperature was just above zero and he was almost frozen when he reached his mother's bedside and awakened her with the words: "How are you? I am fine."

Billy had wrapped a hospital blanket around his body and swathed his feet in pieces of cloth he found in his room before setting out on his chilly jaunt. He picked up a ride part way with a motorist and, finding the door of his home unlocked, walked in. The frightened mother called an ambulance and had him rushed back to the hospital, where he had had his tonsils removed a few days previously.

I've been trying to condense some death piles around the apartment. This room is my office and I'll reshelve these to the actual bookcase, probably when I'm done with the last Vampire Chronicle. But this stack has grown and been with me for 2.5 years. Will be weird when we move on.

Mixed in this is my favorite series, Youth in Revolt and also some of the Sleeping Beauty books. Anchoring the pile is Vamped! By David Sosnowski and is absolutely one of my favorite standalone vampire stories.
