I saw how people voting for Stein gave us Trump over HRC. ahhhhhh I struggled with this one for a bit!!! I think a while ago I said ambient playlists, but now I think I’ve narrowed it down!!!

I think bluebelle would really enjoy a more calming, less vibrant/bright frutiger aero playlist! Specifically, this one:

I just think she’d enjoy listening to it during her warmups (gotta stretch!!!) and overall she just enjoys the calm movement of it all :)

8. It’s movie night, what movie do they pick?

I fear I don’t watch enough movies to give a super deep in depth answer, however, I do have a couple of ideas :)))

For group events, Bluebelle values feel-good vibes and making sure everyone is having a good time, and that means two things: fantasy and fun. She would pick The Princess Bride (1987) or The Secret of Moonacre (2008), mostly because I ADORE Moonacre. Top 5 favorite movie.

Alone, though, her actual favorite movie is Where the Wild Things Are (2009). I watched this movie on the plane to Germany, finished jt really late at night, and cried so hard I almost threw up.

Needless to say, it really punched me in the gut, and Bluebelle needs catharsis like the wild things need Max. While writing this down, I had a super clear picture of bluebelle curled up watching this movie. Just. Agh.

Went out and voted today. I can't stop thinking about 4 women I've read about recently who died in hospital waiting rooms and parking lots from pregnancy complications. That's 4 too many. It only took one woman's tragic death in Ireland to reverse their draconian abortion ban. Yet here dozens of women in Red states have suffered and died with barely a blip in the news.

It's sickening.

It's infuriating.

Am I going to wake up on the 6th as a human being with rights or designated livestock sentenced to die for the vindication of cruel and power hungry people?

Will my other LGBTQ friends wake up with a little more time, a little more hope, bodily autonomy, and their marriages and families in tact?

Will my immigrant neighbors wake up to relative safety or their dreams of stability and a future crushed?

We have imperfect candidates that make the way forward a hard fight, then we have candidates Hell bent on sending us all crashing back. I chose the candidates that maybe will make it hard to move forward but will most definitely keep us from sliding back. I'm choosing the candidates who buy us more time.
