im out rn and taylor swift's antihero is playing and one of the lyrics is genuinely "ill stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror" which is incredible since she seems incapable of self reflection

#ari opinion hour #i picked that one up because of the first half of the line to which i was like omg hellmouth sunbeams blaseball mention #anyway the lyrics arent well written there are some interesting things in there but theyre not used well #certain lines about Half of them are great and then the other half is like Okay what are you going for here #like of the line i doubt theres any lines that the WHOLE line is like actually good #the problem is not clunkiness to be clear musical comedy is great have you listened to flight of the conchord #there are many many good applications for clunkiness it can give a sense of awkwardness which can be very useful #the problem is that she does not know what her own goal is #it really seems like part very self-aware lies part actual insecurity part intentional acting and it doesnt work #theres just very little sincereness here it very clearly comes across as someone who never gets told no #like she just completely whiffed so hard on all of this metaphor #god thinking about it now and its not even like itd be HARD to do basically any of it well it would be EASY #especially there's a bit about feeling like a 'monster lurching towards your favorite coty'#which like how the fuck do you whiff THAT #itd be SO easy to use that as a metaphor for being famous and feeling like you stick out #but nah that whole like kinda sucks its clunky

Gotta a silly little headcanon for Peter from hereditary. When he was a younger kid his favorite movie was Pinocchio. It was the only thing that kept him from bothering his mother while she was working. She’d put the movie on and he’d just stare at the screen and when it ended he cried until she put it back on. Hed spend the whole day watching it.

So when the events in hereditary take place and Peter gets possessed by paimon in the classroom, he looks as though he’s a puppet being pulled and dropped on his face by a cruel puppeteer

Who would you cast in this fic?

It's a complete nonsense fic, but:

Through some sort of quantum realm/multiverse mishap, female character suddenly finds herself in an alternate reality, where it's a dark and gritty post-apocalyptic world (due to like, famine or climate change or plague or whatever). In this reality, people are a/b/o, there are a lot more males/alphas than there are females/omegas, making omegas very prized and fought over, and - surprise surprise - ofc finds herself to be omega in this reality.

So ofc gets "acquired" (read: bought and claimed) by two alpha male characters who are all too happy to force her to be their shared mate and introduce her to her new reality.

It's not going to be much more other than a dumb lil' smut writing opportunity, maybe eke out a couple 'a bingo fills with it.

I haven't settled on the pairing yet and I'm curious who would be most popular for you guys as one of the two male characters (note: I'm 100% NOT making this a Stucky pairing, as I don't really want the two male characters to be friends).

This is def a silly fic that I can take requests on, so if there's anything you think would be fun to see in this fic, let me know! I'm totally open to ideas.

Finishing the last fifty pages of Leah on the Offbeat at 4am because I'm feeling gay and nostalgic

#so i bought leah on the offbeat like. last winter. maybe two winters ago. from a cute local bookshop #and then just never read it until last summer #when i had a lot of free time at my summer camp job so i spent it reading #and i finished the entire first ari and dante book #and then started leah #its not my favorite but it is cute and i like that leah is fat and bi like me #but tonight i watched a youtuber react to love simon #and i remembered that i still had a little left in the leah book #so i just picked it up and finished it #i really liked the ending tbh. it was very cute #my favorite 4am activity. completing my unfinished business #if ghosts are a thing because of unfinished business then when i die its just gonns be because of my tbr #im gonna come back as a ghost and immediately head to the library brcaude i know why tf im a ghost #its because i finish books until the last fifty pages and then just oeave it for almost a year #what kind of unhinged shit is that #anyway if youre a teen or looking for a lighthearted read then Leah on the offbeat is a solid choice
