The world was a mess after the final battle with Thanos. It was bad when he'd snapped his fingers and everyone had turned to dust. Children were found locked in their homes with no parents to look after them. House fires started all over where people had been cooking and then suddenly vanished. Planes had dropped out of the air. And everyone had to adjust to the world having lost people.

Steve had been sure he was doing the right thing bringing everyone back. The universe was living with a massive group trauma and he thought it might heal it. He hadn't taken into account how many people would now be displaced because their families had sold their homes and moved away. He hadn't thought of all the couples who'd had a partner disappear that had moved on only to have them return again. He hadn't considered the custody battles of children who had been adopted only to have their biological parents return. It was messy and it was ugly, but he'd help try to fix it.

He'd been working non-stop since the battle. He'd managed to secure pardon's for everyone involved in the battle at the German Airport. He had found an apartment in Brooklyn that was small, but big enough for him and Bucky. And he'd even managed to furnish it. Sparsely. But it was furnished. Now he was going to help his best friend try to find his place in this new world.

He led Bucky into the living room and looked at him expectantly. "I know it's not much," he said. "But what do you think?"

There's just something about half of their faces being in shadows when Buck comes out to Eddie.

Visually, the shadows are on the same side of our screen, almost like they are hiding the same thing. But in reality, the shadows are coming from different light sources. What are you both hiding from each other?

it kind of gets overshadowed by the horror of the rest of the episode, but. how funny is it that hunter Takes Off His Mask to yell at luz in the beginning of hollow mind. he's the perfect boy i just-

Labor, on its own, has no inherent value. The willingness or ability to labor does not translate to virtue. It can confer financial value, since everyone should be compensated for their labor, but it absolutely does not have inherent moral value.

Disabled people are not obligated to perform for you. They are not required, morally, to break themselves in order to earn some sort of personal value and prove their "worth" to society. They do not need to exhaust every possible means of survival to warrant aid, or spend the entirety of their existence pursuing the same amount of production as others even though it takes everything they have and leaves no room for anything else. They are not obligated to push their limits.

If that pisses you off because YOU have to work to the limit, or beyond, your problem is that you are not being paid enough or you are being asked to do the work of more than one person. Not that disabled people get help for "nothing".

You deserve better, too, you lovable dingus! Every single thing that benefits disabled people will benefit you and the ones you love, either immediately, or eventually. All of it!

I wish there were was a scene or two where it is Sokka who has to pull Aang out of the avatar state frenzy.

Maybe Katara isn’t around for some reason (dealing with an active threat or she was just too far away) and it's Sokka that has to step up. because I do like the gradual growth of his reaction of aang in the avatar state going from complete fear to not leaving the area to stay with aang and I think it would have been a nice ed to have him be the one to pull aang out of it one time.

Not because I want to undermine Kataang because they are great. I do not want to ship sokka and Aang. But I just think it would have really added another layer to Sokka and Aang’s friendship besides them being silly and having fun together. I don’t think they really have any introspective moments with just each other like taht and I think one or 2 scenes like this would have deepened their friendship immensely (not that’s it’s not already great!)

Just Sokka deciding that Katara’s not here and Aang needs help now and so he’s got to do it. Every instinct he has is telling him to back away but he’s got to push through because Aang is his best friend, his brother and he’s not going to leave him.

I just think that would have been a nice little bow on their friendship arc with sokka being the more distrusting and harder to win over of the siblings. Like Kind of the inverse of Zuko and Katara’s friendship.

Like can you just imagine Sokka going; “ I got you buddy, I got you I’m right here” as he grips Aang tightly because he’s not the best at comforting words and and so all he can do is hold Aang close and remind him that he’s there that he’ll always be there for him.

I think that would’ve have been amazing.

Like I'm no huge shipper and I still don't feel the overwhelming need to ship them and I don't think they're like starcrossed lovers or anything. But the password. To the laptop. Was Stanford. It really is kinda funny to me how winterbones shippers really took seven nanoseconds of content, plus a bunch of insane (affectionate) theories and potentially unintentional easter eggs and developed like. A whole dynamic from it. Like, of course, we see one two-second shot of Brock looking kind of worried when the Winter Soldier isn't functioning properly, of course Brock calls Bucky "babe" and has a weird boot fetish. Because that's the logical conclusion.
