DAY 6192
Jalsa, Mumbai Jan 29, 2025/Jan 30 Wed/Thu 1:13 am
🪔 ,
January 30 .. birthday greetings to Ef Gayetri .. Ef Nasser Algharibeh .. and Ef Yash Goveas .. 🙏🏽❤️🚩.. love and greetings on this special day ..

... the absolute wonderment at the talent and the knowledge and the awareness of the young .. as we start the week of KBC Juniors ..
Incredible and unbelievable what they come out with .. the xpression on my face is the genuine wonder of these kids, who really are no longer kids , but adults in the garb of kids ..
my mouth wide open in amazement and what else to expect from these mini geniuses ..
so a commendation to them ..
and the joy of being in the absence of rushed Blogs .. for today as we write it's a rare off day .. and the catching up is huge ..
work continues relentlessly .. and the regularity of its making for almost a daily affair for the years and on is undoubtedly credit to the audience presence and the viewers , but also the joy it gives in their presence each day .. they are the ones that make the show .. they clap, we smile and get the required energy .. they scream appreciation and you feel as though you have conquered the World ..
My eternal gratitude to them and may they be blessed with all the goodness in the World .. a World that gives them nothing else but happiness ..
At times there is conversation of boredom as a professional .. and many a times it comes across to me and I wonder why this would be brought up or even given reason to address .. so I brought it to the notice of the other .. the 'other' that thinks and presents and writes for you .. for the entire game show at work was dependent on this youngster who at age 13 was decided to go to robotics and making it a desire to build that which thinks and works for you ..
so this is what the 'other' said ..
well the 'other' 'does not open anymore and the limit of patience tested and tried has now decided to give that up for another day ..
but yes the boredom of professionalism is an idea that springs up often and the need to relate to it in modern setups was sought .. hopefully by tomorrow it shall be resolved ..
till then ..

Boredom in Professionalism: A Hidden Challenge
Boredom in professionalism is an often-overlooked issue that can undermine productivity, motivation, and overall job satisfaction. In many work environments, repetitive tasks, lack of challenges, and rigid structures contribute to disengagement, leading employees to lose enthusiasm for their roles. While professionalism demands discipline and consistency, it should not come at the cost of creativity and personal fulfillment.
One major cause of boredom in the workplace is a lack of variety. When professionals perform the same tasks daily without intellectual stimulation, they may struggle to stay engaged. Additionally, bureaucratic procedures, excessive meetings, and uninspiring leadership can exacerbate the problem. Over time, boredom can lead to burnout, decreased innovation, and even career dissatisfaction.
To combat this issue, organizations should encourage professional growth, continuous learning, and opportunities for creative problem-solving. Employees, in turn, should take initiative by seeking new challenges, upskilling, and finding meaning in their work. A balance between routine and innovation is essential to maintaining enthusiasm and professionalism.
Ultimately, boredom in professionalism is not just an individual concern but an organizational challenge. Companies that foster engagement and adaptability will retain motivated employees who bring passion and creativity to their work, ensuring long-term success for both individuals and businesses.

On Waheeda Rehman's 87th birthday, Filmfare shares an old profile piece:

"Waheeda Rehman and Shashi Kapoor must be the only two Bombay stars who do not own a TV set. Waheeda hasn't bought one because she fears that her two growing young children will keep watching it neglecting their studies, but she and her family do sometimes go over to the Yash Chopras' to watch a movie on video."
Happy birthday to the most talented and gorgeous actress I've ever witnessed in cinema!

Okay, wait I like the idea of Mitch and Yash's age difference resulting in different perspectives of where they want to take their relationship as the previous anon suggested! I think it's fitting that Yash would want nothing more than a summer fling, because he's young, he's newly famous, there are LOTS of people interested in him because of his newly gained fame, and he just wants to show off how he can get anyone in the world now. He wouldn't really be looking for a steady relationship at this point in his life, all he wants to do is enjoy the essence of youth, be as promiscuous as possible, and adopt the playboy lifestyle. Meanwhile, Starcy is way past the point in his life where he can appreciate the thrill of flings or one night stands or other such short-term relationships which are founded purely on sexual attraction. He wants a serious, committed relationship, but Yash isn't even thinking about anything like that. But instead of Starcy always remaining aloof, maybe he finally succumbs to Yashasvi's flirtations and sleeps with him. And it becomes a routine. But Yash is clear on the fact that sex is about the only thing Mitch is going to get from him, he's not going to bring him flowers, or chocolates or take him to the movies for a date or things like that. They're not going to be boyfriends, they're just fuck buddies. And if Mitch wants anything more, he should leave right now, because he won't get anything more from Yash. Mitch is devastated, but he stays, accepting what Yash wants, because he's so in love with the younger at this point that he'll take whatever scraps of affection Yash gives him over losing him altogether. And it's twisted then, as Mitch bends over backwards to please Yash, does everything he asks of him, but Yash is insensitive to/doesn't care about Mitch's deeper feelings, he just uses him in bed and leaves him alone otherwise. Yash thinks he's happy with their arrangement, but then something happens that makes him realize he loves Mitch and can't bear to lose him, and then he becomes ready for the serious relationship Mitch has so long craved for. But idk how Yash can get his long-due enlightenment here. 😅
So yes, this was kind of what I was thinking.
Maybe it starts with Yash poking at Mitch about his bowling speeds, only for it to become a challenge to bed the opposition quick. He knows Mitch is older and too can likely have whomever he wants, but now he wants to make Mitch want him.
During this series, Mitch eventually cracks (maybe after the ongoing test as a celebration for Mitch's epic bowling). He doesn't mean to, but there is something about the young Indian that he gets hooked on. Before he even realises it, he's pursuing Yash, taking up any offer the youngen gives him for an evening together because he can't get enough of him.
Pat and Josh try to stage an intervention, try to tell Mitch that Yash and he are in different places and Yash doesn't want the same thing that Mitch wants from this, but Mitch won't hear them convinced that if he spends enough time with Yash he can show the Indian how good they can be.
Maybe Mitch shows up unannounced one evening with flowers or something, only to find Yash has someone else in his bed.
Yash almost laughs at Mitch, saying that this was never anything special and explaining that what they have is fun, but it's not serious. Yash offers Mitch the next evening, but Mitch is very not interested in that. Maybe this is the first time Mitch has put his heart on the line since Alyssa turned him down, said they were just friends, and this just hurts as bad because he'd put himself out there only to be shot down.
Once Mitch stops giving Yash attention, the Indian finds he starts to miss it. Other people don't seem to satisfy him in the same way anymore, and he finds himself wondering about Mitch more than he probably should be. At the next Test, Mitch stays so clear of him, not even challenging him verbally when he's bowling at him in the game. Yash hates it, but he shouldn't care, right? Because Mitch was just a bit of fun, he didn't want to settle down with anyone because this was the time he was free and could just fuck around doing what he wanted.

BREAKING: Veer-Zaara to re-release in more than 600 screens overseas on November 7, making it the BIGGEST Bollywood re-release ever; Shah Rukh Khan-starrer to release in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman for the first time
Last week, Bollywood Hungama was among the first to report that Veer-Zaara (2004), starring Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta, will be re-released in foreign markets on November 7. Additionally, the song 'Yeh Hum Aa Gaye Hai Kahaan' has been included to the print. The song was omitted during its original release, therefore this is the first time it can be experienced in its entirety on the big screen. Bollywood Hungama has recently revealed more, intriguing facts about the re-release, which will take place just 5 days before its 20th anniversary.
Bollywood Hungama has heard that Veer-Zaara will debut in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman. The producers, Yash Raj Films (YRF), have even published a poster commemorating this accomplishment.
And that is not all. A source told Bollywood Hungama that YRF has gone all out with Veer-Zaara's re-release. It will be shown on over 600 screens in international countries. This is perhaps the biggest re-release of a Bollywood film overseas."
Apart from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman, Veer-Zaara will be published in the United States, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, France, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Singapore, Malaysia, and South Africa.
Interestingly, the re-release of Veer-Zaara has sparked excitement among fans of the film. Bookings for the film in Germany began a few days ago, and the response has been positive. As a result, it will not be surprising if Veer-Zaara draws large numbers around the world this weekend.
November 2024, it appears, will be a big month for Shah Rukh Khan. On November 2, he turned 59. This will be followed by the re-release of Veer-Zaara overseas, and on November 22, his other outstanding picture, Karan Arjun (1995), will be re-released worldwide, that is, in India and foreign regions.
Veer-Zaara, directed by Yash Chopra, tells the story of a Squadron Leader in the Indian Air Force who falls in love with a young Pakistani girl while visiting India. Things take a turn when he travels to Pakistan to meet her and is detained on incorrect accusations. He spends 22 years in prison before receiving assistance from a fierce Pakistani lawyer. The epic love drama also starred Rani Mukerji, Divya Dutta, Kirron Kher, and Manoj Bajpayee, with extended cameos from Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini.

Dharamputra
"Dharamputra", directed by Yash Chopra, intertwines themes of identity, religious division, and the social unrest that defined pre- and post-independence India (1925-1947). Set against this backdrop, the film delves into the story of Husn Bano, a young, unwed Muslim mother forced to give up her son due to societal pressures.
The film explores the human cost of such pressures, particularly on the identity of Indian Muslims. It exposes the phenomenon of "othering," where a dominant group constructs the "other" as different and potentially threatening. This concept becomes tragically relevant in the wake of Partition, as Dilip, raised as a Hindu and indoctrinated with nationalist fervor, struggles to reconcile his upbringing with the sudden revelation of his Muslim heritage.
Dilip's transformation from innocence to bigotry reflects the escalating religious tensions of the era. He embodies the "othering" process, becoming a staunch Hindu fundamentalist who actively opposes non-Hindu beliefs. As Sony Jalarajan Raj and Adith K. Suresh discuss in Reframing Islam in bollywood cinema: a study on the construction of the Islamic identity in Indian cinema, "Partition of the Indian subcontinent unilaterally separated individuals into elusive categorizations of ‘us’ and ‘them’". The film portrays the loss of a shared Hindu-Muslim identity post-Partition, highlighting the devastating impact of societal pressures and nationalistic ideology on individuals and communities.
In conclusion, while "Dharamputra" doesn't explicitly offer a path towards healing the divides, it is a reminder of the human cost of religious polarization and the enduring need for understanding and tolerance in a divided world. By showcasing the tragic consequences of othering and the loss of identity, the film compels viewers to critically examine their own biases.

🦇 Sleepless in Dubai Book Review 🦇
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
❝ “Be the light. No matter how much our flame dims over the year, this is a time for renewal. Don’t let the negative energy keep you in the dark. Bring your flame back to life, let it roar, and be brighter than ever." ❞
❓ #QOTD What's your favorite Middle Eastern or Indian food? OR What's your favorite holiday? ❓ 🦇 High school senior Nikki is ready to celebrate Diwali in style—not at home, but during a five-day trip to Dubai! There's only one hitch: her childhood friend and neighbor, Yash, is coming with his family. After a fight at the beginning of the summer, they've been estranged. To celebrate the true meaning of Diwali (and earn back her parents' trust), can Nikki let go of her dark resentment to let light and forgiveness in?
[ Find my review below or on Goodreads | Literal | Storygraph ]
💜 The bookish bats who know me are aware that a) I'm Middle Eastern and b) I love books by South Asian authors that make you salivate because of all the delicious food. The moment Nikki mentioned Arabic coffee, I was like, "This is my girl." I've had the fortune of traveling to Dubai before and can attest to its stunning sights, so I connected with the story right away. Yash is adorable, Nikki's little sister is a freaking HOOT (I have three younger sisters, so I felt Nikki's mixed frustration/amusement). Reading this book was an adventure through Dubai without the long, exhausting flight. Getting to celebrate Diwali with Nikki through the food and customs was an absolute delight.
🦇 Unfortunately, Nikki is a difficult character to love from the start. While this is listed as YA (Nikki is about to start her senior year of high school), she's stubborn, childish, and a bit of a crybaby. She reminded me a little bit of Usagi from Sailor Moon. Her stubbornness toward Yash doesn't relent for most of the story, and since there's technically a third-act breakup, it takes a long time for her character development to really come into effect. Nikki's voice is off at times, too; the random "Bros" and ending her thoughts with exclamation points only make her seem younger (even though she wants her parents to recognize her maturity). Though the vacation only spans five days, the story drags at times, too. The biggest issue for me was the predictability; from the first chapter, anyone YA reader can guess every plot point moving forward. While the rich culture of Dubai dazzles and lives up to the real-world splendor, the rest of the story fell flat for me.
🦇 Recommended to fans of YA, books with TONS of delicious food worth salivating over, and friends-to-lovers stories with plenty of angst.

🪔 ,
February 23 .. birthday greetings to Ef Girish Badave .. and Ef Swati Seth ..
💐 .. wedding anniversary greetings to Ef Ashesh Dave and his respected wife Bhumika .. for February 23 .. 🙏🏻❤️💐
💐 .. wedding anniversary greetings to Ef Amit Fuhaar & his respected wife Sarita .. for February 21 .. 🙏🏻❤️💐
..
Birthday - Yash Goveas Friday, 23 February .. wishes and the wellness for this day .. Love from the Ef brigade 🌹
( IS THIS DATE 👆🏼 CORRECT OR IS IT JANUARY 30TH ) .. please clarify
A day of work endeth and another day of work stares within .. how to approach it, what would be the right give , how can it be bettered .. and such be the many that arise before the day ends ..
It is and has been the challenge or the fear of creative expectation - if it can be called that .. and that be the driving force for the professional .. will it wont it .. and what next .. complete one and the immediate mind think is , what of the next and whether it shall succumb or survive .. works at times , and not most of the time ..
Leave it to fate they say .. whoever 'they' be .. then it is proclaimed fate be made , not written on some divine blessing .. leaving it to fate and not in endeavour shall ever end in .. no play ..
And thus does the dilemma continue ..
What be in hand to be in judicious usage .. if addition comes good .. if not it was never fated , or desired , or expected .. so say the purists of proclamation ..
Many though work in defiance of the mode, and succeed .. they be blessed .. but endeavour never be ignored .. it does register ..
I endeavour with hope and strength of fulfillment - fulfillment within - all else is peripheral ..
'Success comes to those who dare and act' ..
the words ingrained within .. words written in my autograph book, in my very young days by the great legendary poet , Ram Dhari Singh 'Dinkar' .. his writing his presentation his voice reverberating in volume .. filled with the passion of life and living ...
Many misinterpreted the 'act' word to be in connection with an actor on stage or film .. NO .. 'act' is the act of action, perseverance, tenacity and determination .. when you 'dare' to bring tenacity in your thought word and deed .. then does success embrace you ..
Love and wellness ever ❤️

[ad_1] Shreyas Iyer and Ricky Ponting (PC: Punjab Kings) A franchise that walked into the auction with the highest purse, Punjab Kings would be looking at the new season with fresh hope. It’s a team that has come to be known for its inconsistency in the IPL. Despite a couple of good seasons, back in 2008 and 2014, their trophy cabinet remains empty. But the 2025 mega auction brought new energy into the squad with big names, bold buys and a shift in strategy. PBKS picked former KKR captain Shreyas Iyer to lead the charge. With a formidable pace attack and an exciting mix of youth and experience, the franchise looks ready to challenge the status quo. Here’s a detailed SWOT analysis of PBKS heading into IPL 2025: Strengths PBKS spent the highest amount of money in securing their captain, Iyer, for a whopping Rs 26.75 cr, while also buying back their pace spearhead Arshdeep Singh for Rs 18 cr. With Arshdeep, Marco Jansen and Lockie Ferguson leading the pace attack, the franchise has a threatening line-up. Arshdeep’s swing, Jansen’s all-round ability and Ferguson’s raw pace give them an edge, especially on seaming tracks. PBKS also added all-rounders to the mix, with Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis and Azmatullah Omarzai joining the ranks. Along with an already formidable bowling line-up, Maxwell and Stoinis can change the game, both with the bat and ball. The franchise also boasts a young talent pool with Nehal Wadhera, Yash Thakur, Vyshak Vijaykumar and others who have performed well in the domestic circuit. Weaknesses Although PBKS have a strong top order with Iyer, Prabsimran Singh and Josh Inglis’ explosive batting, the middle and lower order doesn’t seem to keep up. Apart from Maxwell and Stoinis, there aren’t many proven performers who can handle pressure at the death. In the spin department, Yuzi Chahal will naturally lead the attack, but without quality back-ups. While Harpreet Brar and Maxwell can chip in, they are part timers. This over reliance on Chahal can go sideways at any given point. Opportunities With Ricky Ponting joining as head coach, it could just be the change that the team is looking for. Ponting’s winning mentality can help PBKS establish a strong culture and a kind of consistency that they’ve lacked for years. Players like Priyansh Arya (Delhi Premier League star), Suryansh Shedge (SMAT performer) and Musheer Khan have the potential to become household names if backed properly. The franchise has an opportunity to unearth new Indian stars this season. Threats Despite strong signings, PBKS’s biggest threat remains their tendency to falter mid-season. The pressure of living up to expectations, especially with a new high-priced captain, could derail their campaign if early results don’t go their way. PBKS have started off strong with a few high-profile signings, but will they be able to live up to expectations? With a high priced-captain, and a team that tends to slip mid-season, will they be able to turn the tide? On the other hand, they are quite dependent on overseas players. Maxwell, Stoinis, Jansen and Ferguson are crucial to the balance of this side. If form or injuries affect any of these players, Punjab’s campaign could suffer due to limited back-up options. If we look back at this franchise’s history, this is perhaps one of their most balanced sides in a long time — there is firepower in the top order, a formidable pace line-up and some promising young talents. The leadership of Iyer and Ponting’s experience could be the missing pieces they’ve been searching for. Squad Shreyas Iyer (C), Azmatullah Omarzai, Kuldeep Sen, Suryansh Shedge, Lockie Ferguson, Vishnu Vinod, Harnoor Pannu, Aaron Hardie, Yuzvendra Chahal, , Marcus Stoinis, Musheer Khan, Nehal Wadhera, Vyshak Vijaykumar, Josh Inglis, Priyansh Arya, Marco Jansen, Yash Thakur, Glenn Maxwell, Pyla Avinash, Xavier Bartlett, Harpreet Brar, Arshdeep Singh. Where do Starcy and Marn rank in the easiest to most difficult lives for omegas scale? 🤔
Also, speaking of easiest life, I feel Abhishek (Sharma) from India is a solid candidate for that role. Partly becauuse his story hasn't really been discussed, so he's a blank canvas to project upon. But even if his story were to be discussed/written, I feel there aren't many hardships you can add in. Comes from a typical loving middle class family, presumably didn't struggle too much to get into the domestic setup. So no sleeping around to get to the top like Yash, and obviously no masking like Stu because by the time he's ready to debut, perceptions about omegas and their capabilities have certainly improved. Met and became best friends with Shubman since he was 12/13, so I can't see his teammates/opponents giving him a hard time either, Shubman would've squared up with anyone who tried. Plus, Abhi was mentored by Yuvraj Singh ever since he was like 16/17. I can see Yuvraj being an alpha, and due to being such a respected India stalwart, I can see other alphas being reluctant to mess with Abhishek, knowing Yuvraj won't spare them if they hurt his baby boy. Also, by the Abhishek enters the Indian team, I assume the concept of bets has fizzled down to the cuddles and cookies tradition. And Abhishek's eventual endgame is Travis I presume, and in no universe can I see Travis being anything but sweet and adoring to the omega.
Ooo Starcy is Australia's first out omega, so he comes up against some trials. Plus he's alpha is female, plus he's the first bet against the english.... Probably similar par to VK.
Marn has a pretty easy life. He's coming in at a time where omegas are more widely accepted and towards the end of the 'hard' bets. Plus his alpha is Steve who, even if he doesn't understand why for WAY TOO LONG does instantly want to protect the young omega and will go for anyone who goes near him. We'll put him around Tim's level, maybe just below.
Throwing him in there as we're talking about Aussies: Glenn. Glenn has one very big bad awful hardship, but outside of that it's not too bad for him. Let's place him in line with VK.
Abhi does seem to have an OK time of things; you're so very right about Shub being his protector, even when Yash comes along. He dates an overseas beta which might cause him some headaches, more because of his culture and what is expected of him as an omega in the family (note: not hitching up with a beta and definitely not hitching up with someone not Indian). So I'd say not as hard as VK, maybe around Marn?
Updated list:
Tim Marn Abhi Jos Starc VK Glenn Yash . . . . . . Stuart (just to signify, so so so much worse than everyone else)

Blogpost 3: Looking for References
For Practice 2, the assignment was to choose one of the poems written by young poets from The Poets Society, and create and animation for it. Since I have never animated a poem I wanted to look at similar work done by other students and professionals on sites like Youtube and start looking for references for pre-production. I along with my classmate Yash went on Youtube and started looking for similar work starting with the works previous students did in the last academic year.
One of my goals for this semester was to try and learn the software ToonBoom and use if for one of my projects. However, after watching a few films, I realised that Poetry and 2D hand drawn animation worked really well together. There was something really human about the hand-drawn frame by frame animation and I decided that this is what I would do for my final output.
Moving on I wanted to start looking at references and create some mood boards to start my pre-production. I watched a few films and here is one that really stood out to me-
youtube
The Little Poet-
I absolutely fell in love with the art style of the film. It uses vibrant colours to create a very positive and warm feeling along with the adorable narrators voice. It also uses classical paintings like Carvaggio’s fruit basket and Monet’s Garden strengthening the fact that this story takes place in an art museum. The film masterfully blends different art styles and impressionist strokes to create a well mediated film almost feeling like a moving painting. The line art of the characters also seem to vary from chalky to blotch which I found interesting. For my film, I also am looking to work with digital water colour and gouache to achieve a traditional medium like feel to it.
